    Spot on sir. Your content is relatable and shoes how very few of us are actually ready to engage customers on what we are actaully selling.

      Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you found the content relatable. It's true that many of us underestimate the importance of truly engaging customers in understanding what we are selling.

    You are an excellent teacher, this is very helpful. A real perspective shift. No fancy editing, just real gold advice and unique perspectives that really isn't available anywhere else on UA-cam.

    I'm starting to understand what you say. Both because I see your videos and because it's some sort of natural transition we all have to go through to survive in business.
    The more we understand customers, the more we can alleviate their pain points and get real-and-legit money. This means not only understanding them, but also taking responsibility to fix their problems. Not easy, but the only way to grow!
    Trying to sell skills directly is more of a employee approach, typical of people that are just starting out as business owners. It's hard to find and understand this kind of entepreneurial knowledge for those not coming from a business school.
    Thank you for another excellent video

    Again apologies for missing the call.
    Businesses have various kinds of problems. Identifying the source of the problem is essential. When a potential clients says, " I need more customers." If I hear it as a marketing problem, I may not uncover the whole truth. It may be a marketing problem, and it may not. If I hear it as a business problem then I will be able to go much further. It may be that prices are wrong, or there is pile of money not getting collected in aged receivables, or they need to upsell more products, etc. The more one is able to think as a business person rather than a marketer the more one can understand the nature of the problem and therefore the solution.
    My goal is to make my business the product rather than have a business selling products. Thanks for another brilliant educational video. I agree that it is essential to productizing is a game changer for consultants.

    The problem is sometimes clients do not know they have a problem or what problems to prioritize.

    • @CovetedConsultant
      @CovetedConsultant  7 місяців тому

      If your client doesn't know they have a problem...there isn't much you can do to help. Your business is MUCH easier to run when you are targeting clientele who already know they have a problem to be solved.

    Alzay, I recently discovered CC and have watched a number of videos. Have you trained or otherwise had contact with any technical (engineering/maintenance) consultants? It seems like your content is geared towards marketing consulting. I've been thinking about your concepts pertaining to "specialization" and "productized services" and how I can apply them to my situation.

    I find coming up with the problems that can be solved by my solutions, the hardest part. Any advice on how to do that?

    • @CovetedConsultant
      @CovetedConsultant  4 роки тому

      I know "find a problem to solve" sounds easy. It's not. A lot of the hard work I do with clients starts here. In the shortest term, I would recommend you talk to as many humans as you can. Have real conversations. Don't sell/pitch your services. Ask honestly how you can help. What you build begins with this insight.
