@@sarenhar3945 Hey, from memory I believe John plays L L and I ended up being more comfortable with L R so it’s playable with whichever you prefer. Cheers!
@drumscribe In the official music video he definitely plays L R, followed by R on the second floor tom together with the L on high tom. Nevertheless it's the first time I've seen intro played correctly. It is really fun to play this way. Thanks man!
This is how John Dolmayan plays it. It makes the movements between the toms more fluid with his chosen orchestration. Of course it's harder to play but worth it once you've got the weak hand feeling natural. John has quite alot of unorthadox stickings in SOAD. Hope that helps! - Joe
Hello people, can someone help me please? When its appearing a dot next to the crash and bass in some.parts of.the music...what the dot means?? Thank you
A dotted note is 50% longer than it’s undotted equivalent. So a quarter note = 1 beat. A dotted quarter = 1.5 beats. And an 8th = 0.5 of a beat or two 16th notes. A dotted 8th note = 0.75 of a beat or three 16th notes. Hope that helps! - Joe
This is without a doubt the best drumming channel on UA-cam. I have learned more in one month watching these videos than the last 4 years combined.
That's so cool to hear. Thank you for checking out the videos and joining me on this journey. Let's keep it going! - Joe
Thank you very much. Humble, accurate and helpful. Very well done, sir !
Thank you! Incredible mix, super clear to hear what you are playing and the song
Dude thank you. I haven’t played in probably 10 years but I was able to learn this in 4 days thanks to your video
Prob the best drum channel
@@vincentvalentine9417 That means a lot - thankyou 🤘
Awesome ❤️👍
Just a small mistake in the intro notation. The last two hits on the floor tom should be L R not L L. In the video he plays L R.
