Beetlejuice is a surprisingly good musical, I watched it myself with my dad months ago. And I wholeheartedly recommend another great song in the musical, “Dead Mom” by Sophia Anne Carsuo
So hard to sing! My voice coach and I have been working on it for months and I’m just so having trouble balancing the rock with musical theatre and the riffs are WRITTEN IN!!!! So I can’t just choose not to do them
A bit of fourth wall humor there. Betelgeuse mentioned doing this like eight times a week, referencing how often the actors have to preform the musical while it runs.
With Beetlejuice, if you're able to react to official Broadway videos and even if you can't, That beautiful sound is awesome AND has fantastic choreography. It's also another song that focuses on BJ and Lydia's relationship. Keep being cool man!
One thing I'll note here, as someone who fell down a MAJOR musical hole with Beetlejuice and has been trying like HELL to find any footage of certain songs (Beautiful Sound amongst them) is that a lot of what is out there of pro-shottish quality is somewhat edited for length. You don't get the full numbers.
As someone that is really scared of dying and just not existing this song calms me somehow it makes me think it's not gonna be that bad and maybe freeing i know it's weird but that's how i feel
This is a great musical! My favorite song is probably Dead Mom If you’re interested in continuing the Beetlejuice musical, the songs are: Invisible The Whole Being Dead Thing Ready Set, Not Yet The Whole Being Dead Thing Part 2 Dead Mom Fright of Their Lives Ready Set Reprise No Reason Invisible Reprise Say My Name Day-O Girl Scout That Beautiful Sound Barbara 2.0 What I Know Now Home Creepy Old Guy Jump In the Line
A song I recommend that not many people have reacted to is “Botton of the River” by Delta Rae. It’s an awesome song with awesome lyrics. I think you’d really like it and if you see this comment I would really love it if you react to it
I think you would really enjoy the song Beautiful Sound from the Beetlejuice musical (there's lots of animatics/ covers of it). The songs chaotic feel and high energy just make you want to move a long to it.
I love Beetlejuice so much 🥰🥰🥰 you should definitely react to the full musical here's all the songs in order Act One Prologue: Invisible The Whole ‘Being Dead’ Thing Ready, Set, Not Yet The Whole ‘Being Dead’ Thing Part 2 Dead Mom Fright of Their Lives Ready Set (Reprise) No Reason Invisible (Reprise)/ On the Roof Say My Name Day-O (The Banana Boat Song) Act Two Girl Scout That Beautiful Sound Barbara 2.0 What I Know Now Home Creepy Old Guy Jump in the Line (Shake, Señora) / Dead Mom (Reprise) / Home (Reprise) / Day-O (The Banana Boat Song) [Reprise]
Love this musical! I really reccommend "fright of their lives" betelgeuse's whole energy in that song is amazing, plus if your a fan of the film there are some cool references in that one.
I actually dropped everything I was doing when I got the notification this came on. XDD This is even one of my favorite animatics purely because at 'the scenery is fake here' is just a picture of their computer. Can you do Fright of Their Lives next? It's one of my favorites on the album!
I really would love to see you go in order now since this is the first song in the play! Next up would be Ready Set Not Yet and it’s a duet with the 2 most wholesome characters you’ll see in this musical lol I’m sure someone has given you a full list of songs in the comments already, but I’d love to see a good majority of them get reactions since the music and the singers are fantastic.
Two things. Your personality and being animated and fun make me keep coming back and watching your videos. Also, I feel like I gotta say, every time I hear your little outtro song, it always makes me feel sad that the video is over, but also welcome to return when the next one drops, and it's a really nice touch that I appreciate every time. Keep being awesome, bro.
I know it’s been a second since you looked at MLP, but Discord by Eurobeat Brony just passed it’s ten year anniversary and thought you might like to hear one of the biggest songs of the community.
May I suggest listening to OR3O's Clover songs? You seemed to love her BatIM song "All Eyes On Me," so I'd love to see what you think about Clover! Specifically, I recommend "Help Me," since it sets up the story and is my second favorite of them all.
Seriously, David, listen to the original 1980s Beetlejuice soundtrack by Danny Elfman. There are musical callbacks throughout the musical. It is a musician's treat! I'm seriously looking forward to you continuing this musical. You had mentioned that those writing for musical theater need to master several different genres. This musical plays around with that. Betelgeuse/Beetlejuice is a being constantly breaking the fourth wall, has seemingly infinite knowledge, and is as much a player with pop culture as he is a part of it. You noted the use of the sitar in the last song (which is towards the end of Act I) and how unusual that is to hear in western music. Well, get ready for a wild ride!
Ive just got into more of the musical and theater world type of music and when I came across this song I absolutely feel in love with it 😌 glad you liked it
This song is definitely one of the best in a musical with absolutely no misses. One thing I think you should listen for if you relisten is towards the end during the call and response part, the chorus is saying "Dies Irae" as an actual dies irae. It took me a few listens to notice but I thought it was very clever of Eddie Perfect to add
If you plan to continue reacting to Beetlejuice, then you MUST listen to Dead Mom up next. There's also a really good animatic by "ohitscosmo" on yt to watch along it.
THE BEST song to listen to from Beetlejuice the musical (in my opinion) is Dead Mom. On top of giving a lot of context for the musical as a whole, the singer's voice is just so incredibly powerful, it gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. Highly recommend, and request, that you give it a go. P.S. I love your videos, keep up the awesome content!
While we’re talking beatlejuice, PLEASE listen to dead mom. It’s my favorite track from the whole musical, I get it’s popular, but I still love it. I just love belty, raspy, ballads.
Beetlejuice songs are just all round good. Definitely wouldn't complain if you reacted to more of them! Also, we getting the Spider Ending anytime soon?
I love beetlejuice so much. I would definitely recommend the song “a musical” from something rotten. It’s a great song and has so many different kinds of music styles
While you’re checking out Broadway shows from 2019, I strongly recommend listening to Wait For Me from Hadestown! There is a really incredible animatic of it by Foolscapper!
Have you seen any of the High School Musical movies? If not, might I recommend Breaking Free from the first one, What Time Is It? from the second one, or Scream from the third one.
I don't know if you react to Endings for Anime but I HIGHLY recommend you listen to Aoi Yuuki's 'Kumo-san Theme Song' from "So I'm a Spider, So What?". You will never know what's next and it is my absolute favorite Anime Ending. It has a very similar vibe to this song with the changing styles.
Oh definitely time to see "Ready, Set" its the next one if you want to go in order, though there was a small prologue before "The whole being dead thing", it does get reprised later... Cant wait for you to get to "Creepy Old Guy" but my favourites definitely the musical's version of "Jump in the Line"
Definitely a energetic song. One of my favorites in this musical! Only recently discovered it’s because of a little show called has been hotel. Then I got sucked down the rabbit hole into Beetlejuice, Percy Jackson, the mad ones. Even SpongeBob the musical. So much good Broadway!
I was gonna skim past this til I realized it's from 4 DAYS AGO??? It's nice to see people discovering this musical even after the hype's died down Also Ready, Set, Not Yet is the next one. Hype to see you get to Dead Mom (if u do)
I definitely recommend finishing Beetlejuice. It's really good. I also suggest making sure you do the songs in order because there is a bit of story in the songs so you dont have to watch the musical (which i recommend anyway because its hilarious). When you get to "Home" you need to find the actual scene. Lydia fights with her dad in it and if you dont watch the scene theres a whole section of missing dialogue in the song which seems to leave people confused. Also, if theres a series you want to do, please do it. I know its a big deal to focus on what the audience wants but everything you do caters to somebody out here.
You should check out Stupendium stuff more. His horror Christmas songs are great if you haven't listened to them, but literally any song by him is amazing.
My favourite part of The Whole Being Dead thing, was when he broke the ukulele twice as it switched from ukulele to rock in the matter of seconds. Also when I went to see it in October, he gave the bird at “namaste you freaking posers”. It was hilarious. Highly recommend seeing the musical.
I saw "Dead" in the title and immediately thought that my deadbeat dream came true (deadbeat is the name of Calliope Mori's fans/fanbase). Buble might dream of a white christmas, but i dream of seeing you react to "end of a life" 👀 This song was entertaining! I'm not a fan of musicals in general, so i've never seen this one, but i can't deny how good some songs are! Always entertaining watching you react to songs❤
Psst! David, you live in New York... go watch it live. I haven't seen it but I have friends in NY that have watched Beetlejuice multiple times (in costume, because my friends are that Extra and fabulous ;P) Fun fact, this actor plays Fizzarolli in Helluva Boss and the guy who plays Genie on Broadway plays Ozmodius. If you re-listen to their song in Helluva boss you'll recognize them in an instant.
OK SO if musicals are sticking around, then may I suggest Candy Store from the Heathers musical? I literally had it rolling in my head for about a month, it's just so good! AAAAA!!
The whole being dead thing is a really good one but another one i recommend is "That Beautiful Sound" from beetlejuice its really good (personally my favorite)
I have my own opinions, but I’d highly recommended “ the whole being dead thing pt 2” it’s my favorite song in the musical and it’s like the reprise of this song.
Wow, I'm actually early on something this time! Confetti time! Love the Red Hot Chili Pepper pick, now I want to ask you to play 'Snow' for me, because I wanna give you that finger torture on the guitar. I love these reactions that give you so much joy and make you laugh like that especially! From this musical, I would recommend 'Dead Mom' or 'Home'. They are wonderful songs.
Ooh! You should check out A Little Priest, from Sweeney Todd! Never has a song about Canibalism sounded so awesome! Do the Johnny Depp and Helena B.C. one! I think you'll love the clever lyrics!
Ahaha! I love your reactions! This is such a great musical!! Would you consider That Beautiful Sound, also from Beetlejuice? It's a lot of fun! Also, if you want a sad, gorgeous musical, you should check Dear Even Hansen! I recommend Words Fail, I can't hear this one without crying! 😅😭🤗 Love your reactions ❤ Keep being awesome! 🥰

Have a wonderful day, and don’t choke on a Triscuit!
Hi from first off I really like the new intro second off I think you would really enjoy it was either share that sound or it's just that sound I forgot which one from Beetlejuice I think you would really enjoy it
Day 2: If there is a song that you must listen to, along with the accompanying animation, it has to be We are the Souls by ThePruld. If there is a song that can encompass an entire community it is that song.
If you don't mind stuff in different languages, I would REALLY recommand the Hebrew Dub of "Deliver Us" from Prince of Egypt. It has SO much emotion, and we still have Ofra Hazah but she doesn't cencor herself for the western audience and go full-on with her BEAUTIFUL Silsulim.
Beetlejuice is a surprisingly good musical, I watched it myself with my dad months ago. And I wholeheartedly recommend another great song in the musical, “Dead Mom” by Sophia Anne Carsuo

A bit of fourth wall humor there. Betelgeuse mentioned doing this like eight times a week, referencing how often the actors have to preform the musical while it runs.
The line about fifty dollar wine references the wine selection in Broadway theaters being overpriced. Just like the tickets.
With Beetlejuice, if you're able to react to official Broadway videos and even if you can't, That beautiful sound is awesome AND has fantastic choreography. It's also another song that focuses on BJ and Lydia's relationship.

Love this musical! I really reccommend "fright of their lives" betelgeuse's whole energy in that song is amazing, plus if your a fan of the film there are some cool references in that one.
"My personality is obviously a little wacky and zany" Would you say you're strange and unusual? Because I, myself, am strange and unusual.
