Just after graduating high school in 1993, I got my first "real" job. After cashing my first paycheck from that job, I went straight to Toys R Us and bought this castle. Completely worth it! (It was around $100.00 when I bought it.)

@@BricksPlanet Yeah....looking back...I miss this set alot! The portcullis and the drawbridge is the most amazing part about the set...and not to mentioned the 4 knights with the nicely colored cloth over the horses...if I have the chance to own it again...I will
Had this set as a child. Bought it complete in box a few years ago and just rebuilt it for the first time. Like most old sets, great for nostalgia and display but the building techniques have come a long way compared to the old days. A matter of opinion, but I do think I rather the old way they did instructions for the most part. Lots of parts per step and no part box for reference. Made it harder and more challenging for such a simple set.
@@BricksPlanet im from malaysia. Btw great videos u have i really appreciate your effort doing all the stop motions. Keep em coming man. 1 sub for u definitely.
Absolutely incredible, didn't take much finding on my part and I'm so grateful for the Lego community. My friend had this back when it came out, we were about 7/8. I got the Galactic Mediator and he the Black Knight's Castle. I have way more memories of the castle than I do the spaceship. Happy days! The animation is wonderful

This was such an awesome set to have as a kid. It gave you so much to play with, which I can't say the same thing about any other lego set I've encountered. The lego characters gave you lots of possibilities given their different weapons and horses, but you had things like a working drawbridge, gates and steps you could raise and lower, several secret rooms, and a jail with a glow in the dark ghost. If you asked me what were the best toys your parents gave when you were a child this lego set would be at the top of my list.
Me too! I strongly remember looking at the pictures as a kid, that white knight was my greatest desire! And the castle is still one of the best they ever made!
6086 is a great castle as it is and of course, can be improved. I saw in a blog how a collector put some flowers close to the well spot, I was going to do the same. I also got some 6009 Black Knight sets, the 6057 Sea Serpent, Wolfpack Renegades and the Black Monarch's Ghost set. All together looks so awesome.
WOW, this stop motion movie is such amazing. It is like my fantasy has become real :-D I think, it took hours and hours to finish this precious piece of lego culture. Thank you for the efforts.
My first big Lego castle was the Fire Breathing Fortress. Love that thing, but always dreamt of having this one. Until I inherited a *huge* amount of legos, and with it came the Black Knights Castle. Probably the best castle ever. The kids that got this one in the early 90s were truly lucky.
Also forgot to say: big fan of your work. Shows that it's a labor of love.
Thanks a lot !
Thank you. I am one of those lucky kids. I truly enjoyed battling the Lion Knights.
My dad bought it for himself, I had to wait till I was like 8 years old to play with it and promise not to just ruin it lol.

Yes its'possible. Golden age of Lego
I have always prefered 80s-early 90s lego. Especially bcos the minifig only appeared in one emotion face - smiling.
1985 - 1995 is the golden age of Lego. Trains, Castle, Pirates, Legoland. All fantastic and great.
