I used Traeger pellets in the past and they tend to roll out the smoker. Started putting hay in and it would hold them down for a while. If I packed it with hay the straws hanging out the smoker would help keep the lid shut. Now I just use hay and light it with a blow torch. 1 small ball of hay on the bottom to get it going and a couple or 3 on top of that.
I agree on the pellets. They do tend to fall out. Hadn’t really thought of the hay to hold them down. I used to use hay only. I like the thick smoke it makes, but my wife hates the smell, so I kind of phased it out. Maybe a mix of Traeger Apple and hay would appease her. ; )
I’ve looked at them briefly but was never really interested. If you send me one I’d make a video and demo/review it for you if you’re trying to market them. And I could list them for sale through my website if you can drop ship in the US.
If you've never tried...check out napkins or paper towels. They burn like paper & leave some nice little coals, long enough to start wood chips. My all time favorite, though, is punky wood.
the way you're adding pellets ...that damn thing should burn for three days......LOL.... mine never needs that much air... or continued pumping.... once its lite.... its good and if you use wood pellets.... it will be all good.... thanks for th3 video..... J
Yeah I loaded her up for sure! I was mostly going overboard here just to make darn sure it was well lit. And I really was excited by how much smoke it was making!

Hi friend, you can also try the electric smoker. it is very comfortable. I make them myself. I think everyone can do this.

I normally keep a stash of the newspaper and cardboard in my bucket here. Might have to try the paper towels.
Put mink oil on the bellows it helps.
That’s good to know! I don’t own mink oil. I guess just about any sort of oil will help protect the wood and soften the leather?

is it for INDIANS ?
Suppose it could be. I think blankets make a better effect though. At least, if old movies taught me anything. 😁
