- Two internet friends, complete strangers, walk into a coffee shop and decide to take on one of Idaho's most challenging offroad trails together: Boulder Basin. What could possibly go wrong? Tag along on the first trip that my buddy, Will (@Venture2Roam) and I took together.

What may seem as a failure in turning around, is actually a sign of courage and maturity, especially when making in the company of others. Knowing your limits, how far to push them, when to say no, it's not an easy thing. Thank you for posting this video, it brings you out in a whole new personal way. Maybe I'll see you around. -Jesse Star, Id.
Hey Jesse, I really appreciate that. Thank you for watching and leaving such a nice comment. Catch you on the trails!
Being honest with yourselves is all thats needed. ! Great job youll reach the top
100%. We went back and made it all the way up last summer!
I had no idea Idaho was so scenic. Thanks for portraying it so beautifully! There is zero shame in knowing what you are ready to tackle and what just doesn't feel right in the moment. Sounds like you made a very wise decision. That trail isn't going anywhere and will be there waiting for you the next time. Idaho is now on my bucket list of places to see thanks to you! Cheers from Ottawa, Canada.
Thank you, Brian! Yeah, we’re kinda spoiled living out here, but very grateful to have such beautiful country to explore. We’ll be back to this trail! Thank you for watching and leaving such a kind comment. I appreciate it. Hopefully you make it out to Idaho soon!
What a great memory. Now I have to figure out how to make a video with this footage.
Haha. Can’t wait to see yours, Will! 👊🏻
Great video with a great vibe! I own a mild 2021 Tundra set up for adventures and grew up in Idaho. Previous rig was a modified 5th-gen 4Runner for exploring Idaho and Arizona. I would love to find a local group like this to go exploring with! All laid-back, good folks, who don't bash their rigs for the sake of bragging rights. I'm up in the Moscow area, and it's tough to find groups like this.
We were inspired to go check out this trail after watching your video. Made it to the top on 33s, only a rear locker, and stock bumpers with zero body damage. If you want to run it again let us know. I’m sure we could spot you to the top!
Awesome!! Thank you, I appreciate that. I actually went back this summer with the same crew and we made it all the way up.
Did that video get posted yet?
Excellent video!
I really enjoyed getting to know you and your dad on this trip! Looking forward to many more adventures…and returning to Boulder basin!
Likewise! Me too! We gotta go back!
Thanks for posting, was thinking of heading in here in May but after watching it might be a bit much for full size cruiser on stock tires. Then again, might just go for it.
What a great video! We are in Meridian and now have some ideas for our next trip to Ketchum.
I made it to the exact spot where you turned around in a bone stock Chevy s 10 ! I think I would have made it to the top . But my truck was brand new . And I was slowing down the rock buggies
Thanks for posting. I'm planning a trip in that area in a few days and trying to scout some cool trails. Have you done Washington Basin?
Great video Nick. Man need to head back down to Idaho again. Didn’t get to explore parts of it when I pasted by last.
Thanks, Gari! Yeah, you should make a trip when you can!
Well done video. Good camera work, good voice over, good ( enough) music. Good decision-making. We’re here in Meridian and we’d go with you any time!
Thanks, Steve!
what a great adventure! beautiful places and good times!
Thank you, sir! Good times, indeed 🙂
Awesome trip. Even if you didn't make it to the top. Sometimes it happens. But you come back a little stronger for the next attempt!
Exactly! Thanks, Matt! We’ll be back.
Love the music 🤘
😂😂😂
Thanks, Kevin!
Great video! No shame in listening to your gut.
Thanks for the support, Christopher! I appreciate it, man. Glad you enjoyed the video. We’ll be back!
Great video. I’m planning to visit Idaho this year. Can you tell me which road you drove on, in the last place you went with the awesome view of the Sawtooth Mountains? I have a year 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk - trail rated. It appears that the last road you were on, with the awesome view of Sawtooth would not be any problem for my vehicle. MIKE
Thanks, Mike! That’s awesome that you’re planning a trip to Idaho. You’ll have an awesome time. Shoot me an e-mail. It’s listed under the “about” tab on my channel.
