    Bike sounded lovely pulling away from the castle. Hopefully Triumph will continue to have a winner with this one 👍

    Great looking motorcycle, The tank colors give it a very Anime look to my eyes. That’s not a bad thing! Sprout and I watch our share of Anime, love it.

    Cracking looking bike and look forward to see this bike in real life in about 2 weeks as Triumph is on tour in Sweden. Love the color, love the design! So glad they made this bike more different in design compared with the T100 as it was a hard one when I nicked my Bonnie from Rob. The ’old’ Soeed Twin was to simular compared with Bonnie, but this bike … just wow and sporty! I prefer this one above the 1200🎉

    According to Cycle World the new for 2025 Speed Twin 900 is starting at $9995 USD. So tax, license etc. will easily be over $10,000 USD but you can order a bunch of accessories including electronic cruise control, heated grips and a bunch of other stuff. You'd better start putting your money away and checking with the real "house boss" to see if there's any chance.🤑

      New 2025 model is same weight as previous models 216kg.The 43mm forks & piggyback shocks & bigger front disc & extra tech must offset the weight of the new aluminum swingarm.

    • @DaveGeezer
      @DaveGeezer 5 днів тому +1

      @ agreed. I currently own the 2024 speed 900. I must say I like the looks of the older model but can not deny that the upgrades are substantial and awesome. My only concerns of my 2024 is that at first it felt a bit cramped for leg room but got used to it almost immediately. I’m used to riding adv bikes so of course there would be a difference. But I find the rear stock shocks to be hard on my body. I’m 65 years old and was used to a plush ride. But for my needs now I have to say the 900 is such an incredible sweet machine. I have no plans to let her go. My best friend owns the 2024 T100. 1 inch higher seat. Makes a difference.

    • @ruahinesrider
      @ruahinesrider 5 днів тому

      @DaveGeezer I think you can get a more flatter seat like 1200 & is probably a little higher too but looks thinner Trhiumph & other companies make them.I got 2024 model to prefer the look of seat & single rear shock & not a fan of the cut outs on tank.The new suspension would been nice though along with the self canceling indicators.2024 model has about 5 colour options as 2025 has 3.I love my Speedtwin 900 & think it looks better than new model more Classic with it's clock & non piggybackshocks & different seat & would choose that model as still get both at moment & bikes same weight.
      Old model with upgraded rear springs or non piggyback shocks & self canceling indicators be the ideal bike.

    • @ruahinesrider
      @ruahinesrider 5 днів тому +1

      @DaveGeezer I just looked you can get a flatter seat for older model & is a little higher too looks about 20mm higher which probably make a big difference for comfort for taller riders.
      While I was there I played around with new Speedtwin 900 model on the configure section.The new Black colour scheme with thin gold & another colour lines on tank looks good & there is a lowering seat which is similar to older model shape but 5mm lower does make bike look good but noticed the sidecovers are upswept so with the lower seat makes bike look twisted & side covers aren't interchangeable.New model looks more Sporty & is basically a 1200 Speedtwin with a 900 in it & cheaper parts & in my opinion looks better with lower seat 760mm they offer
      on the black tank model even with upswept side covers & actually looks really good & be the colour I would get along with the lower seat but I'm short with short legs.It's the cutouts in the tank that I don't like & to live with cutouts in tank over older model I would just get the Speedtwin 1200RS with Quick Shifter & Sport Mode 🤣.

      @@ruahinesrider my inseam is 31.5” and although I said it felt a bit cramped it really isn’t uncomfortable. I often do day rides that consist of 500 Kms with breaks for gas and a stretch. If you have a shorter inseam this 2024 model is awesome. I’ve had 2 older air cooled T100’s and they were great but the new 2024 speed twin I have is just wonderful. The power and exhaust note are intoxicating. You want to ride all day. But I do a lot of rural back roads that are paved and very curved. Twisties. But the road surface varies from smooth as silk to cracks and potholes. I’m good for the first 3 hours but after that and if I’m on a rough road the impacts from the rear shocks can be pretty severe. I’m working on sorting that out. But I suspect being 65 years old and weighing 200 pounds has more to do with that than the stock shocks lol haha. My best friend rides with me and has a 2024 T100. When we switch up for fun he says he doesn’t notice the shocks to be terrible. He’s 165 pounds and has a 30” inseam. Says he finds the bike awesome. I find the 900 engine has more character than the 1200. Don’t get me wrong. There is no replacement for displacement. But I’ve had 1900cc bikes and big hp monster bikes and honestly it’s hard to justify that power. Essentially you don’t use it or need it. The 900 for me is a real gem and sits in a goldilocks zone. Never bores me at all. So much fun.

    New Speedtwin 900 in NZ🇳🇿 is same price as older model it says on Triumph NZ website18k nz only $500 less than T100.In NZ the T100 outsells the Speedtwin 900 probably cause it only $500 more as in UK,EU T100 is £1000($1800nz) more.The weight is exactly the same as old model at 216kg although new model has a aluminum swingarm.New model has 43mm forks as old has 41mm.
    New model has 320mm front disc as old got 310mm.Seat height is higher as it's 1200 Speedtwin style seat at 780mm stock but is a lower seat available at 760mm as old model is 765mm stock seat.Both have 12L tank.Both models still for sale so if like old model look you can still get it.
    The new 43mm forks,self cancelling indicators would be good to have,The angle ABS & Traction Control & Aluminum swingarm & offset TFT can live without & not a fan of the cutouts in tank but could live with them if bike is 1200RS with Quick Shifter.
    I prefer older model 900 seat shape as it different from the 1200 model now they look the same.
    320mm font disc be good too but with the 4pot Brembo on the 310mm on older model is plenty & the 320mm hopefully on new T100
    as that only got a 2pot Brembo.
    Old model clock is in middle & not having piggyback shocks makes older model look more Classic looking.I am surprised it's the same weight with aluminum swingarm but I guess the bigger forks,bigger front disc & piggyback shocks & extra tech negate weight savings from it.I saw a sneak peak of new model before buying my 2024 model & the new 1200 style seat & new cut outs in tank & piggyback shocks I didn't like & made me not to wait for it & get 2024 model but didn't know about any of the new tech,aluminum swingarm,new forks at that stage but I still would've choosen 2024 model now if getting 900 if getting 1200 would go for 1200RS with Quick Shifter.They handle great & got tall gears being 5speed & plenty of torque & weight feels low & easy to push around & is same weight as Interceptor with full tank but feels alot lighter than Interceptor which is top heavy.

    "Different spokes for different folks" as they say, I don't like the colour scheme, nor the tank indents, each to their own I guess 😊 The clock looks cheap and its offset position ruins the bikes symetry. Price is going to be a real deciding factor with this new Street twin, especially compared to what Honda are offering with the 1,000cc Hornet. I realise these bikes appeal to different rider's needs, but you can't ignore how well spec'd the Honda is by comparison.

      Speedtwin 900 is 216kg T100 is 228kg & Speedtwin 900 has 4pot Brembo as T100 has 2pot Brembo.
      I prefer the look of the older model but having self canceling indicators & better suspension be good.New model has 1200 style seat as older model I got has different shape & looks better & differentiate from 1200.

    Great video and a peek at the new Truiumph. Well done TAYM. However ..... the tank colours look awful. Like a kids paint box and even the white panel under the tank is mismatched. What were they thinking of? Who is it aimed at ? I bet it was not designed by an English man. The rest of the bike looks great apart from my general grumble about silly ineffective mudguards. This is the UK where the roads are mucky and wet at least 50% of the time. Oh! Triumph another ship spoiled for a hap-orth of tar. Stylewise the rear shocks and front USD forks are somewhat incongruous. Better to have a modern single suspension unit and dump those piggyback things which will never be as effective. Retro - huh! Modern forks, wheels, tyres, brakes, lights and engine. Skimpy modern mudguards and garish paint. Might as well buy a Royal Enfield. P.S. less than £9000 for an all black tank. The one you are on is an extra ( yes hard to believe that eh? )
