I agreed. I have an 04 twilight blue with only 29000 miles on it. I did mods performance with HKS dual titanium cat back exhaust, NWP 75mm throttle body kit with intake short ram pop charger, 1/2 inch plenum spacers and definitely must have an oil catch can.

It's not much different to the 2005 and 6 model but back seats are small cause it's a coupe not a sedan

+drflub02 idk dude. It's kinda on the line in my opinion. It's my third, I had an accord, a manual TC, now the g. It's a great car but you just gotta be carful. Having a real sports car like this is a responsibility. If you're comfortable with it go for it though!

Do you think it's a good 9th car for a 46 yr old?? Shopping around... GTI, Z3 (Classic) and 330ci are on the list. I have been driving trucks, suv's and Jeeps... Sportiest car I ever had was a 97 Pontiac Grand Prix GT.
Kirk Wilson As your list goes I would definitely say this is the best of the group. I'm not a big vw guy. The c3 is kinda unimpressive to me. I do like the 330 tho and tbose Grand Prix were nice but they just didn't really get them in manual which I don't like. The g35 is so great fun car to rip around in esp if you have others
It's an awesome car for anyone. Just be aware 'premium' Nissan means some repairs are expensive. I would suggest you have some DIY skills. This is a good car to develop those on too. Brake pads + rotor turn = $750 at my dealer. DIY guy can save a ton on that price even with brand new rotors. Now for the driving experience, I've had one for 10 years and it's huge fun on the highway. Speed is not a problem. There's a certain point where it feels like it's flying right over the road. That's all I can say without incriminating myself.

I have this exact g-coupe. 6MT and still 100% stock. But mine has Nav (so the upper glove box is occupied by a DVD drive). Bought it used 4 years ago and still love it. Absolutely love the distinctive stock exhaust sound. Never get tired of it.
The hidden compartment in the back seat is for the first aid kit

I just got a 05 coupe auto its clean I love it 173k miles but runs fantastic it has a cai and test pipes damn decent daily driver but can be a beast at the same time
Just got a 05 coupe auto the car runs great with 172k miles it has resonated test pipes and a cai it’s a quick car and sounds good especially at high rpms this is my second one I had a 07 and the seat motors is definitely a common issue and they do burn oil I usually check mine every 300 miles I recommend you keep a quart of oil in the truck 😂😂😂😂
I know this is an old post by now, but I had to Thumb it Up! Awesome car and good detailed review. I've owned a lot of Nissans but always came close but could never lock one of these down, still working on it though. Hooe you still have yours, it's a "passer downer"! If you trust your kids with it, lolololol

Yes. It has the hr engine unlike the other years. The others have the de engine. Known for burning oil

Does the 07 auto have a rev up ?
I could be wrong but I believe auto’s have the normal de but having owned both a de and revup in a manual they’re not too too different daily driving nor abusing them
get the vaydor body kit and you have a sports/supercar

Seanbeingsean opinions, i think if you can buy a naked chasis of the car for a couple hundreds, and for 30-35k manage to make a supercar out of it, it seems worth it to me. offcourse opinions differ and i cant discuss if it is or isnt worth it
no it's a waste of money. the kit itself (interior and exterior) is like $15k, not to mention that if you're inexperienced and can't get it installed yourself, you would waste another $5k. then that's just getting the look of a super car, it'll still have the VQ35DE and will probably not beat any super cars you try to pull up against. more money down the drain to get the engine up to par with its "competitors"

You should look into driving the g with the HICAS/RAS system.Its like driving on rails man.stock you have zero body roll and it cuts corners like a knife!
You are 100% right. My M35S has HICAS and it's just dumb how easily that 4k lb beast goes around corners. It's basically a stretched G lol.

This car is just fine outside for no fucking reason. I have same color combo 04 g35 coupe with the automatic. My window regulators are dead so I rolled them up and disconnected the control 😀. As for the seats…. Both driver and passenger are ripped so it is what it is.
I think white would look nice or a dark navy blue 🤔
The one thing I don't like is how the gear shift looks and how there is no auxiliary input
The rims are on the 05-07. I have a diamond grey 2007 with rear wheel steering.

These are nice car. The steering wheel is ugly on these cars. That is it i like everything else.

I have a early model (04) yours looks great, and about the oil consumption problem, you should change replace your PCV valve, it would help a little. Plus it's easy to do it yourself. About 10 minutes
Not all G35s come with the moon/sun roof. Maybe all 07s? But my friend's 04 doesn't come with one

I think I saw all the comments and I didn't see about the 07 fixed the oil consumption problem from 06 and older. The 350z 07 08 is hr. ur 07 g35 de wich means the fixed oil consumption year. They only put the hr in the sedan nevermind. Year don't matter. Cool car. 4 seats 💺 💺 💺 💺
well mine has that problem! The first time I did an oil change I only too 2q out and there’s suppose to be 4-1/2q
Seanbeingsean 🦆. I know some one the dealer fixed a oil consumption because of warranty on last year available half price off..... They changed the pistons and piston rings. Factory crap piston rings. Cool car. I wanted a g35 but got a 350z because really low miles but not anymore 😆

The 3.7 has dual intakes! (G37, 370z, q50) and prolly some others we don’t care about lol
