Another good, informative video. I had tried splicing cable TV wire and didn't do a very good job. So I never tried pl 259 for that reason. I think I will try it next time, thanks.
I believe this is the kit I purchased: www.google.com/search?q=coax+crimper+amazin&sca_esv=8a21897d5a918d7d&sca_upv=1&ei=AUStZtbXNLD0kPIPocDM8Ao&oq=coax+crimper+amazin&gs_lp=EhNtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1zZXJwIhNjb2F4IGNyaW1wZXIgYW1hemluMgcQIRigARgKMgcQIRigARgKMggQABgIGA0YHjILEAAYgAQYhgMYigUyCxAAGIAEGIYDGIoFMgUQIRifBUiNUVDOEFihTnACeACQAQCYAZMDoAHKIqoBCTAuNy44LjMuMbgBA8gBAPgBAZgCFaAC8yOoAg_CAhAQABgDGOUCGOoCGIwDGI8BwgIOELkBGIAEGEMYigUY7wTCAg8QuQEYgAQYkQIYigUY7wTCAgoQABiABBhDGIoFwgIREC4YgAQYsQMY0QMYgwEYxwHCAgsQLhiABBjRAxjHAcICBRAAGIAEwgIREAAYgAQYkQIYsQMYgwEYigXCAg8QuQEYgAQYsQMYgwEY7wTCAggQABiABBixA8ICCxAAGIAEGLEDGIMBwgIJELkBGIAEGO8EwgILEAAYgAQYkQIYigXCAgYQABgWGB7CAgUQIRigAZgDCJIHCjIuNS4xMC4zLjGgB-2JAQ&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-serp#vhid=vt%3D16/prds%3DheadlineOfferDocid:-990446577096088285,imageDocid:1348028052284287103,mno:3,productid:17456297496613463331,pvo:3,pvt:hg,query:Y29heCBjcmltcGVyIGFtYXpvbg,rds:,sori:0/vs%3DUG9wdWxhciBwcm9kdWN0cw,0,27&vssid=uvpv-713&piu=ps:60

Do you think there is any benefit to using heat shrink tubing over the ferrule after crimping?
I think it may help keep out moisture and debris, as well as make for a more rugged cable.
