- So I had some errors in this. Obviously the video is kinda skippy but this is my first time so I'm still working on it but oyu get the idea from what there is in here.
Also the music was skipping when I played it on my comp but that is probably just my computer.
I don't know why I chose that music, I just did.
I love how this Tas guy is trying so bad to be Wizzy... smh

I love SDI'ing Samus Charged B. There's so much you can do with 18 frames.
I know right
When you are hit by Samus's Full charged Laser cannon thing you have 18 frames where you are able to move freely and you have no momentum added from the shot. I use this momentum to move myself into a ledge and tech and also to move myself twoards Samus.
Basically the TAS part of it is how he moves around and slides toward edges and samus, you need to understand the game VERY well to see how impressive this truely is.

@afrisbo You know how when you get hit by like a knee the whole game freezes for a second? During that freeze time if you press any direction you actually teleport in that direction. So I mash one direction over and over and it makes me teleport around.
What you are thinking is C-Stick DI.

@julian1000 so what i have always wondered is, do you have to go back to neutral position every other frame or can you just go +- a notch on the control stick or what? also for only one smash DI, is it more effective if you go from the opposite direction first than if you start from neutral position or some other position?

Sometimes you know an attack is coming but you can't shield or dodge, for example if you are still in stun from a combo.

Hitlag is a function of damage & whether or not the move is of electric element.
Hitlag = floor(Damage/3 + 3)
if electric, it's floor(the above*1.5), meaning it gets floored twice.

@Strongbad338guy I was always under the impression that a fully charged shot from samus yielded 18 frames of hitstun regardless of the damage it does?

hey, I always wondered if you're in the air and samus's charged B is coming toward you, is it possible to time an airdodge correctly so when you come out of the invincible frames you get hit with the back end of the shot, thus sending you towards the stage. would this be true/viable at all?
Tye Granger 7 year later response: No. Since the momentum of projectiles acts differently vs physical hits, the momentum of the charge shot will pass onto you sending you away always.
Samus charge shot has a hitbox that sends the same way no matter what part of it hits you. It's one giant hitbox with the same angle

floor(25/3 + 3) = 11.
floor(8*1.5) = 16
@FoxandHart 25 damage yields 16 frames of hitlag when electric. Sorry bro.

Why bother doing Smash DI's? If your gonna do a smash DI, you have to know an attack is coming... But if you know it's coming, why not just shield or dodge?
B-rapp I know thus is old but an example would be fox upthrow up air. You know it's coming but once you're in the air there's no dodging it.
