      Properly is the key word! The Wheel of Time live-action was a total failure, I was heartbroken repeatedly while watching it because of incredibly poor decision making. Note that he was a codirector or something for the show, but the director personally stated that he decided NOT to listen to people telling him not to do certain things, including Brandon.

But he has made clear that the fact that the Cosmere or other of his series have not been adapted yet is due to the amount of special effects (and therefore, money) they would require to make look worlds as Roshar real. Hollywood just don’t want to take that risk for now. But Brandon has said that he is looking with good eyes to the Stagecraft Technology that's been used in productions as The Mandalorian to make Fan/Sci-fi world possible without that big of a budget. A technology which, by the way, has been developed by Brandon's friends in Epic.

Funny because one of your so called geniuses "who came up with Star Trek the Next Generation" you don't seem to remember. Since you cant remember his name. Gene Roddenberry created Star Trek and two other producers helped create Next Generation. It's a dumb point that being remembered is your best measure of being a genius. Also, art is subjective. Seing this makes me happy. Seing Brandon get the attention he deserves, fantasy reaching mainstream talkshow talk points, and boooy, oh, boy, kickstarter, hold on to your boots, you're about to be reaided by at least 1000 new selfpublishing authors soon. A good time to live as an aspiring writer and a fantasy nerd (this was me last summer) that one time spent around 3-4 hours playing with rice on a big piece of paper and naming those shapes the first world he'll create.

    • @dougfile6644
      @dougfile6644 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah. I think those of us who have read the book series multiple times are having issues with some of the changes they made.
      I don't mind different events happening, but some of the characters just don't feel like themselves at all. That's a big problem for me.
      People who haven't read the books seem to be enjoying the series more, and I guess that's a good thing, but I'm still disappointed that I'm not seeing the characters I know and love
