Actually, solti is used only for boys, some use solta, but for girls only soltini. Solti means someone who you can marry. Its mostly indigenous culture, so the cousins call each other solti, soltini. But now its used for friends.
Sir Ian isnt foreigner. He directed Yama buddha's Katmandu Grime. That makes him an Honorary Nepali citizen. He is our vena and a National Treasure. He is also a great punster and makes excellent dad jokes.
