If you turn right, in front of the Shell garage opposite the former Swan hotel site, there are another four miles or so of the old A556 route to explore. The road was four lanes but now two, with an excellent cycle path and bridleway, terminating 100 metres from the modified M6 roundabout at junction 19.
@@Bercilakdehautdesert-yt1gd Yes, you're correct. The former A556 is now renamed the B5569 and 2 lanes are converted into cycling routes and pedestrian walkways. After a small roundabout, I will reach a dead end after driving a little bit more. Unfortunately, my route does not cover that part.
