    Nice Jon. Inverted harrier is so much fun, and everything does better than right side up usually as the vertical is in cleaner air/slipstream. Rudder skills separate the men from the boys...

      Rudder skills are so critical and it's really unfortunate that many RC pilots are afraid of using rudder or don't know how to use it correctly.

    I will say that the turbo timber evolution is a very resilient plane to crashes. I've unfortunately crashed mine close to a dozen times and only had to perform surgery once. My carbon cub s2 doesn't do half as well on crashes

    My friends call me capt inverted, I can fly inverted as well as most people can fly right side up, you just gotta trust your plane and turn off the fear factor, I love flying small umx type plans for practice and then flipping the big version over is no problem, great video by the way.

      That's the way to do it man. Worst case scenario is that you get some hot water out and some glue. It won't look as good but it'll still fly, and you won't even notice it from a distance.

    Ive found that the best thing for learning is dont fly the money. There's always replacement parts or a new plane worst case. And plus, if you crash, you learn so much about what NOT to do so save some money for replacements in case something goes wrong and have fun!

    The way I learned all this stuff was putting together a 30in ultimate bi-plane that had an insane power to weight ratio and suddenly all the sim practice transferred right over into that little fan fold plane with no problem. It's when you don't have enough control throws and power to get out of situations that make you frightened. I had very little fear with that little foamy and I imagine it is the same with some of those UMX's but my 30in Ultimate was only 11oz with a 3Cell 1200mA and it was absolutely a confidence builder. I may have to rebuild one of those again just for the fun factor while not at a flying field. My original got destroyed during my last move.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому

      We tell people that limited throws are far more likely to result in a crash as opposed to full possible throws. Nose heavy CGs in many airplanes also lead to crashes.

    Very nice video, Thank you for the info on the servos for this plane. Your absolutely correct in saying getting over the fear of crashing unlocks more in flying. The controlling factor for my fears is involved with the amount of $$$$ at risk if crashed. The EVO Turbo Timber is priced ok and at less of the fear factor than the Carbon Z Cessna or Cub SS Enjoyed watching

      Technically, increasing diameter, all else equal, would increase mass flow per rotation, but reduce peak RPM and so reduce top speed, since…
      Pitch x RPM(Max) = Top Speed (inches/minute)
      Like selecting a low gear in a car: more pull; less speed.

    If you could please tell me how is it you're ESC not getting smoking hot. I love the timber and it always comes to the field with me. I can really tear it up with the timber and she will do it. But my ESC is smoking and I have to give it a break. It's stock and even moved it up. Any ideas would be helpful on how to keep it cool. Awesome display of flying and what this plane can really do.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому

      ua-cam.com/video/EGd33bufNGU/v-deo.html goes over it, but the gist of it is that running a 13x4 prop and moving the ESC forward into the air flow helps significantly.

    How do I overcome my fear of landing? I'm constantly coming in too fast and high .I guess my biggest fear is going into a stall. I find myself doing repeated go arounds well over the timer alarm sometimes until I'm dead sticking the landing and quite often crashing

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  8 місяців тому

      Overcoming anxiety is something each person has to do for themselves, but a successful method for most people is to continually expose yourself to anxiety-inducing situations until you're used to it and you don't trigger a fear response anymore. Flying is a very stressful thing when you're not used to it. Landing is even more so when you're still learning.

    Jon I need your help! What type of 13-4 pitch prop are you using is it a timber x prop or something else. I checked my hobby store and there's a few different types like a wide prop, a thin prop and I'm not sure what to order these latter props are from APC please let me know oh! And what type spinner are you using for the 2 blade prop thank you your friend Marty from Canada 🇨🇦 🛩 🛩

  • @qqff3192
    @qqff3192 2 роки тому

    I’m planning on getting a spectrum radio, the nx8. To get max rate of 150, do I need to disable AS3x and safe? I don’t need safe to fly but it something I preferred just in case

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому

      Nope, no need to disable anything - it'll still give 150% rates with AS3X and SAFE enabled. Mine is set up with both. If you'd like to support us at no cost to yourself, consider buying the NX8 from this link: amzn.to/3Q2nVg4

    Hello. I have a question. I bought a timber evolution 1.5m turbo plane. I'm interested in hovering acrobatics. I saw in your videos that the turbo timber evolution is capable of this. I tried at a height, but when I put it on my nose, it slowly started to fall down, it didn't stay on my nose, but it's true that I had it at quite a high height. I am wondering if this is due to altitude or can I hover lower or maybe change the engine. I would appreciate a reply lp.
