I remember I stole this CD from my sister when I younger lmao & someone had burned it & spelled Aaliyah's name all wrong on the front. It read "Alijah" like who tf? 🤨 but this album widened my musical taste. Whole album was an experience. That was a only a few years after she had passed.
She was truly a blessing for our time. I had the pleasure of growing up in this era and she was and will always be the greatest!

As someone else stated Aaliyah was soooo ahead of her time. I think she may have been a little too ahead which is why the stupid grown ups back then (I was 10) was not showing it the love it deserved. Even at 10 I was smart enough to know this album was a hit and loooooved every song. But this song and all the others sound like they could’ve come out today. Like I have not stopped streaming it. Literally favorite album of my entire life period. No other album will claim that spot.

from 0:06 to 0:13 it sounds exactly like the music they played in Stick It during the ad break. like if anyone has seen the movie on tv, just before the break it shows the movie cover and has music for like 5 seconds saying "'mm". I looked up the soundtrack to Stick It and apparently missy elliot wrote or produced one of the songs for the movie which is funny because this song and the stick it music sounds so similar.
