3:18 Foods that support the adrenals
In this video, we’re going to talk about the dangers of using prednisone. Prednisone is a synthetic version of cortisol.
Prednisone is used for rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory conditions, autoimmune diseases, skin issues, and more. I believe this drug is being given out too much, and it has a lot of serious side effects.
Side effects of prednisone:
• Muscle wasting
• Inactive adrenals
• More inflammation
• Diabetes
• Low immune system
• Insomnia
• Cataracts
• Hip fractures
• Liver damage
• Shrinking testes
• Low libido
• Belly fat
In my opinion, once you start taking prednisone, as time goes on, you’re going to need more and more of it. Your adrenals won’t be strong enough, and you'll need to build them back up.
Three things that will support your adrenals:
1. My Adrenal and Cortisol Support supplement
2. NAC
3. Stinging nettle root
Foods that support the adrenals:
1. Dandelion tops
2. Beet tops

Thanks for watching! I hope this helps you better understand the side effects of prednisone.
My husband passed away from an asthma attack and prednisone and inhaler abuse. He used to love watching your channel.
very sorry! scary as I'm prescribed from bronchitis Albuterol, got asthma related bronchitis, and Prednisone currently.
I'm really sorry about your husband.
I'm asthmatic and was prescribed prednisone and an inhaler.
Stopped the inhaler.
Was on prednisone for 5 days.
Bad stuff.
@@earlmorton6265 yeah I was on it for a sinus infection I didn't like it even for mere days
I am really sorry
L.A.W.S.U.I.T.
Took it for hives for a week and it was the most depressing/longest week ever. I had all the mental side effects, lost 15lbs (in just a week) and felt souless. Even after taking it some of the side effect stayed for months but thankfully went away completely.
Shaq did u urinate alot
I was prescribed this med by my dentist after having 2 teeth pulled I’ve had increased thirst, blurred vision , and weight loss
it is a steriod, i personally had an increase in appetite, energy surges, dry mouth which lead to increased water intake causing frequent pee breaks. My grandfather suffered a lot of negative LONG TERM side affects which basically destroied this body from the inside out. His liver was due to fail at any moment, his bones were brittle, and he was on countless other medication to counteract the flaws in predisone.
But Doctors giving it like it's nothing
@@julieall-nightlong1364 I did. I thought I would get difficulties.
I'm not kidding.
I peed up to about 15 times a day.
I don't know where all that fluids came from. I didn't drink as much as I peed.
On it only 5 days.
I had an allergic reaction the other night, the ER prescribed me this medication and i took it, i never felt so depressed in my life, and i can't sleep at all if i am on that drug. I would rather die than ever take this medication again. Never felt so miserable in my entire life.
I took it and it made me very dizzy, turns out im allergic to it.
Alex Robinson same
That sucks. Prednisone is the only thing protecting my eyesight. I'd probably be blind right now without it.
When I took it I suddenly had a lot of energy. Interesting how it can affect people differently.
I was given an iv of 125mg of methylprednisolone (solu-medrol) two months ago in the ER for an allergic reaction that gave me rashes and it gave me a rare case of extensor tendonitis on top of both feet. Even tho it got better it’s still here and more mild but now my right tibia is aching/cramps/contractions. It’s already two months and still my feet have not improved 100% smh. Sometimes my neck gets stiff. This thing is hell and garbage. I do not recommend corticosteroids like methylprednisolone, prednisone or prednisolone to anyone unless it’s a emergency or something extremely serious and urgent. But the first 5-7 days was a disaster. I couldn’t sleep, heart rate was high, blood pressure was high, low grade fever. Anxiety, trouble breathing, dude it was a disaster
Asthmatic here, a doctor prescribed this drug for me but at least he had the decency to tell me about the side-effects and warned me that it's definitely not for long term use. Anyway, thanks to the doctor in the video. I'm definitely gonna try the other stuff you recommend. 👍
Thank you, I found this very helpful and you get right to the point.
We have been telling my dad to stop taking this. He takes it sooooo much and he is diabetic. I am showing him this right away.
This stuff is horrible for diabetics
omg! I get put on this a lot for respiratory problems! ty for this video!
As I'm on my 4th day of 60mg of prednisone... I hate it but I can breathe!!!!
I was given prednisone before and after nasal surgery. While on it, I felt invincible (energetic, running up and down stairs, etc., etc.) But, the down side is, I gained quite a bit of weight. Now that I'm finished with my prescription, my joints hurt and I'm having a very hard time losing the weight. BUT, I can breathe. I fully understand your comments and totally agree. Breathing was my priority and now I'll deal with the consequences of the medication.
60!?!?!? In the UK you get 5mg a day for a severe chest infection. Wtf are you on 60? They're trying to kill you.
Same man
I'm taking it for 2years cuz I'm systemic lupus
Lol yeah. Sinusitis has me here. And I can finally breath! Only 5 days
ALWAYS LOVE YOUR STUFF 💙
Thank you. That was exactly the information I was looking for.
I have emphysema and this medicine is a godsend.
Great video, a real eye opener!
43 year old male with Chrons disease. Prednisone has been a life-saver. My doc gives it to me when I'm in a flare. It works fast. My side effects are mainly weight gain (which is good for me because I'm underweight), water retention (legs, feet swelling), insomnia if I take it too late.
But it does harm you don't see..it is the only drug flares up but so hard to come off you go backwards
Dr. Berg thank you for sharing all of your videos 😎👍🏻
I am on Pred for long term. I've been using this medication from last 7 years (max 90mg to min 5mg) on and off and almost every day in last two years. I see lot of side effects, mainly, Weak bones, loss immunity, mood swings, pimples, appetite (weight gain). They are not noticeably dangerous yet, but I should be careful and look for another medication.
This isn’t a real doctor. He’s not an md
I’ve got rheumatoid arthritis and Been on 60mg a day for 20 yrs
While you’re on prednisone you def want your doc checking your bone density. If that’s an issue
I have had no side effects like diabetes or any medical issues
But don’t ever just stop taking prednisone
You need to be bc taken off slowly. And if you’ve been in this long term. Very slow over months
So your body will start making it again
Side effects from stopping are really severe fatigue
And pain/inflammation
If you are worried about side effects
Mayo Clinic has done studies on prednisone If you can take 20mg a day. That’s a safe dose that is not causing any side effects.
Try butyrate and in usa boswella cápsules, in india its called shallaki its a rasin to make incense. It does work
Thank you, Eric!!
Just was prescribed prednisone but I'm going to try the nettles instead. love your advice so much.
I already have your vitamin D and and stinging nettles so I will start today. So grateful for your advice.
I had never taken a steroid in my life until last year when I changed jobs and had a lot of inflammation. The doc put me on 20 milligrams and I could not sleep, I had so much energy on my job which was great but then I came home and continued working in the house doing physical things. I need sleep and recovery for my body to be ready for the next work day. I was so grumpy coming off it. The positive thing was it makes you happy. A few months after I was off then the inflammation came back and I told the doctor to lessen the dosage to 5 milligrams. After reading and listening to videos such as this, I refuse to ever go on another dosage. Watching my diet more closely and listening to my body will be better. Also, I’m thinking I should dump the Statin drug I have been taking for the last 5 years. I believe it’s depleting my much needed hormones. Thanks Dr Berg, I enjoy your videos.
You are great man Thanks. GOD BLESS YOU. good explanation and great help
It's actually very safe to take short term.Long term is where the serious problems begin.
Harvey Sarai I agree with you , I took it for 5 days and had no issues
My doc just prescribed for two weeks. Am I in the safe zone?
Stacy yes I’ve been in for nearly 7 years Bc I don’t make cortisol rest of my life I will be so I’m a long term taker!
safe'. i took it 3 days 10 months ago and still in hell from this wicked poison
Tell me about it. Been on it for 26yrs. Total proof of what it does. Long term.
thank you for this video. The information will be put to use asap.
Very many thanks Dr Berg for the NAC advice, the Stinging Nettle Root too, much appreciated
I got shingles and the dermatologist prescribed as my 4th round of steroids, 63 prednisone. I am asthmatic and very used to prednisone, I also knew I was in deep trouble after 9 days of taking this last round of steroids. So I got an appointment with an allergist/immunologist and he helped me come off the prednisone within 3 days. I am still struggling with breathing issues that were caused by taking too much prednisone.
Is it ok to take those supplements when new to taking prednisone ? Thank you for your awesome years in your passion line of work. Also thank you for your reply! WE LOVE YOU DOCTOR!
Thank you Dr. I’ll get these things now.
I have urticaria and when I get a swollen tongue or lip I take half a prednisone and the swelling goes away. I only take it when that happens which is not too often (Maybe I take 6 a yr.) but it keeps me out of the hospital. I'm never without those pills. They're a miracle for me.
please do more videos on dangers of other medications... such as antidepressants/psych drugs and possibly even accutane.
I took accutane for 3 months cause of bad acne... I had panic attacks, claustrophobia, I felt like my whole world was crumbling down... And I was only a teenager and even had suicidal thoughts... I am now 43 and taking this Prednisone drug to help with my Bronchitis... I am now super aware of prescription drugs and how they can mess you up!
Thank you Dr. Berg
I have to give an alternate view. For my arthritis I use a "burst" of Prednisone, 40 mg for 4 days, 30 mg for 4 days, 20 mg for 4 days, etc. This is about a three week cycle. Then I stop. I have tremendous relief from this for several months after the course. I don't have any of the physical or emotional side effects cited here. I think in its proper place Prednisone can be of great help; this of course is on an individual basis. Thanks.
I agree but what is the solution in case a serious inflammation starts.
thank you so so.much for the info. If you have any information about ATP, it will be very appreciated
Doctor Berg, hi! Happy to find you well and healthy (I bet)! I also have a problem, chronic hypertrophic rhinitis and I use a medicine with prednisone. I do experience these side effects. The rhinitis is getting better but my body is really, really weak and it alarms me. I eat very healthy and also exercise daily. What do you think is a good idea for me please and do you think that i should be that alarmed considering i am taking the medicine for 1.5 months now and will take it for another 1.5. thankyou alot
as per doctor advice I have been using 3 tab of predinisone since yesterday. Im allergy asthma patient..fedup with medical treatment.. no improvement in asthma, doctors dont have any affective treatment.... fear but praying for long life...
Thank you for this video.. I was on prednisone for a few months on & off & figured out what was wrong so off it thankfully.. Ive heard of NAC & will look up the side effects because I still have an over active immune system
IThanks a lot doc. I have learned a lot...
Great info
THANK YOU DR BERG
I had severe asthma during my childhood. I was prescribed steroid inhalers at the age of 11 and continued it for a few years. I was a skinny kid, and immediately after I was overweight.
thanks DOC!!!!
I'm so scared to finish my doses 🥺🥺🥺 I saw a lot of scary side effects !
My husband was given prednisone for asthma for over 15 years until we moved to Hawaii and found a doctor that whined him off. Today he is prednisone free and his asthma is much better but he definitely lost muscle mass and got cataracts. His inflammation is worse as well. Don't TAKE PREDNISONE! Thanks Dr. Berg.

@Jessica Hines the only thing i can get there is ginger, the rest is not common here :'(
Not only is it abused, it' has really bad side affects, the one side effect you never hear about is "Mental Issues", which can be permanent!
I would avoid at all cost!!
Queen of the Thots like what??
You feel exhausted and exerted, but restless and wired. It’s miserable. I’d try to focus on the exhaustion, but it wouldn’t allow it. Not a fun drug, even if you like suffering.
a dumb horse with no life me too. Ive been gaining weight uncontrollably. I gained 20 pounds in 2 weeks of taking it. I gained belly fat and it altered my anxiety and depression. I feel horrible. This affects you mentally and physically.
sn9696 , Hi ARE YOU KIDDING ME ?
I’m 60 and in good health. When I was 29 I was diagnosed with MS and took prednisone a couple periods. I thought it was the best drug I’ve ever had. It made me feel stronger and not require sleep. It makes you look moon faced and irritable when you go off it. I only had MS attacks for a couple years, none since. I know hard to believe how fortunate I am. I recently lost a life long friend 6 days older than myself to a massive heart attack. He was fit and the picture of health like myself for a 60 year old. His only problem was colitis which he took prednisone on and off 30 years. I believe this caused his heart attack. I also think when Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle hit so many home runs one year it was aided by Prednisone. No proof or even something I heard but I can see how this would help an athlete greatly.
Short term it’s OK for a few days or 2-weeks under Doc’s care.
Some people such as severe Lupus or RA sometimes must take it despite VERY bad long term side effects.
Hi Dr Berg. I’m currently weaning off prednisone for an autoimmune disease of my liver. What was the name of the product you said would be good to take to build the adrenals back up? Do you suggest I go ahead & start taking this now?
Im glad I was this. My doctor just prescribed this and I have real bad insomnia. What was she thinking? I am sleeping better on the keto
Thank you so much. I was prescribed Prednisone (due to a severe allergic reaction to gluten) and took it only 2.5 days (20 mg twice a day). The side effects are horrible. My body is aching as if I had bruises everywhere, I haven't been able to sleep and have been having constant anxiety attacks.
Eyda Sage how old are u
They gave it to me for a skin allergy
Eyda Sage god, shut up.....2.5 days.....poor baby
how long did the side effects take to go away?
@@thefirerises179 they gave it to me for poison Ivy. I stopped after one day.
be great if you did one of these on SSRI's, anti-depressants, and what they do to proper digestive tract functionalities.
Right
Yeah when my gi doctor told me he uses mental health drugs for the gut all the time my brain exploded.. I quit going to him..
Check out Gwen Olsen videos on this subject
The VA gave me constant doses of Prednisone for 4 yrs...my health deteriorated as a result. Doctors are handing this out like a magic pill and don't tell you of the side affects. I will try your suggestion.
Right - thats terrible - see description for recommendations
So what happened in your case, Mary R?
How can we get info on NAC I medical proof what it does to help with Presidone
Can you drink. Alcohol on prednisone??
@@EricBergHRV Hi doctor. I hope you are fine. I had chronic idiopathic urticaria and for this, the dermatologist gave me this drug. I used it for ten years daily 2 tablets of 0.5 milligrams. Now I have stopped taking It. But I have lost 7 kgs. Now I am 69, was 76 with them. But now I am having a problem with decreased appetite and poor digestion for 4 months. Then my lower legs bones are thin although the rest of the body is alright and I have facial pigmentation. My blood sugar, urine, LFT, and CBC tests are perfectly fine. But I am worried about my stomach problem and loss of weight.
The Physician's Desk Reference in 1969 had a long list of contraindications which included "permanent psychosis and death." Same drug listed in a modern PDR does not include those contraindications.
I've taken prednisone for 25 years. I'm 150 pounds overweight, I have no energy, I'm hungry ALL the time, my sciatic pain is so bad I'm all but bedridden, and I'm severely depressed. I used to be so vibrant. Now my life has slipped away from me, and I'm not old.
This drug for my 80 years old father was more or less a miracle.
He was diagnosed with Lupus, a year after the diagnosis his kidneys started to fail, the nephrologist after a biopsy diagnosed him with one of the worst types of Lupus, Lupus Nephritis.
He was given 5mg (first two weeks 10mg) of Prednisone and since then (2012) he regained most of his kidney function (his proteinuria is almost gone).
For him Prednisone was a life saving medicine and yes, he eats healthy, his omega 3 (plenty of fish, chia seeds etc etc) rich diet didn't make a difference at all.
No one denies it'll get you out of the red zone but it's what happens after that that most people have a problem with.
i wounder. how he is now. it messed my life up
trafficjon400 how long did you take it. Was about taking it just six days?
I took this pill for the first time in my life for inflammation in my back and disc(between L5 and S1) caused by a vehicle accident. My side effects were horrendous. I had already had a moderate headache today and went to severe. Then I lost almost all of my strength and had panic attack type symptoms of fear of dying and negative thoughts. Quite a few hours have gone by and my headache is gone from taking Tylenol and I feel so much better after the drug has subsided. I won't be taking another one again. It was horrible.
Thanks for this video. Wish I had seen your video on it first as I've seen many many of your videos.
God Bless,
Jeff
I had strong phycological effects the first time I took Prednisone. I know this has happened to a friend of mine too. But you can control your thinking when you realize it is the drug causing this reaction and just calm down.
@@garybankston9319 did you have those effects after you were done w them ? Finished mine 3 weeks ago still feel weird and no appetite
@@XxButtNastyxX Yea, prednisone will mess with your brain. I was speaking about the first time I ever took it. But I have had to take it for a month before because my gout would not go away. I began to hate that stuff. I think the weird effects will wear off for you around 3 days or so.
Thanks for the info. I will take the 3 things you mentioned. Took prednisone for 1/12 to 2 months with other antibiotic meds. My nasal passages all clear and have stopped taking all meds but have muscle pain and lethargy. Getting better but recovery is slow. Will try your suggestions Dr. Thanks and will update you on the progress!!
What’s the update?
@@michaelr1011 How I am doing after doing what Dr said. Doing fine now but it’s been about 4 years ago
What should you take for
Bells pallase
Thanks so much Dr. Berg. Is that Stinging Needle Root or Stinging Nettle Root?
Dear Doctor,The three products you mentioned should be taken along with predinsone or after completion of cortisone therapy?
If you have an anxiety condition be very very careful with this drug. Just saying.
I have asthma and just coverted to a plant based diet to help the asthma and to help with the 1/2 tablets of predisone i take if my asthma is sensitive. This year in
California we have been having trouble with the air quality too due to the massive fires in our state. I can already tell the plant based diet is positive and i dont miss sweets nor meats nor processed foods
I came riiight to you when my daddio was prescribed prednisone & i looked up the mechanism of action & realized it worked like cortisol...which he doesnt need more of...
Found this video & another one & i hear you say it "synthetic...of cortisol.." & i just wanted to thank you so much for everything youve helped me help my loved ones through over the last five years. I always do extra research. Always use discernment. & i always end up right back to you because it's always in alignment with the truths i find that seem to be kept below the surface. Thanks for uncovering them. & for sharing them with us. You rock.
P.S. your allithiamine is A+++++
Thank you
love your videos, been following you for a couple of months now. i am on prednisolone now 50mg a day. i was in so much back back i could only just walk, (have a lateral disc tear and a 25mm disc bulge). only relief ive had in a year but can feel all the side effects of this drug to. thanks for your videos.
same here or my back, without them i'm unable to stand and so much inflammation due to my disc herniating, no doc or surgeon could be bothered to help so i've been on 20mg day or 3 years and now have everything under the sun because of this medication. brilliant at first until you get everything.
What alternative should one use
THATS IT I 'm giving them back to the doctor !!!
What should I take for an allergic reaction
Its a double-eged sword... for RA was helping SO much in the short term, then my mucles became really weak and painful... very hard to reduce, but gosh I'm trying.. down from 25 mg to 3 mg now.. wish me luck, almost there!
Hi, do you still take prednisone
Can we get an update
Can Cortisol Support, NAC, and Stinging needle root be taken at the same time as and/or transitioning off Prednisone?
Thank you very much.
You're most welcome.
I have been on prednisone for years off and on for Polymyalgia Rheumatica. Every time I tried to get off of it my auto immune disease would flair up again. I've only been on about 2 mgs a day but then I just got cortisone shots in my knees back on May 5th. I've been following your Keto plan for several months now and lost about 20 pounds. I haven't eaten grains since October. I thought I was on the path to feeling great but now I am just dragging again. I gradually worked my way off prednisone about a month ago. I have muscle weakness, fatigue and don't sleep well. I've been taking high doses of D3 and just ordered your cortisol product. Is there a chance I can heal myself?
I'll have to stop taking it. Thanks. Just got given it yesterday.
What are natural alternatives to this? Tumeric? Garlic?
I had some asthma triggered by a cold . I was given 40 mg of prednisone for 5 days. My sugar went up from 120 with meds to to 230 .
Some thing funny that happened when I took an international flight I asked for a diabetic meal , And I was given a large plate of fruits and sweeten yogurt, and a large glass of orange juice for breakfast, and a large vegetarian dish with grains for dinner. Now I just get a regular meal and pick around.
I had a heart & double lung transplant 11 months ago. I developed cataracts in both eyes after a huge 3 day infusion for slight rejection early on. Ive also gained 50 pounds!! What’s the best way to lose weight while on prednisone for life?
Short weekly blasts are great for bronchitis in winter 😊 then train like crazy in the gym after last week day..... Long term use is really bad
I've used prednisone when I herniated my disc, for bad poison ivy, shingles and now for shoulder injury. However, each course lasted a week. And it helped me. Would be great to find a natural substitute.
I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis 7 years ago and went down the vitamin and herbal route and it suppressed the inflammation that is produced by the disease however the last month (April 2018) the disease has broken past the barrier that the natural remedies could sustain. After a week in the hospital and 5 new specialist doctors I have been placed on Prednisone 20 mg 3 times a day and concerned about the side effects.
My Mom was given TEVA Prednisone for Her CHRONIC Lung condition...And she is 86 yrs Old and DOING Well..But I TRULY Worry about this drug and Her Doctor for Giving it..😠😠
This drug create me a chronic headache til now and loss hair. . . 😭😭
Oh my I have been on prendizone for 5 months massive migraine and pain on left side of face. Waiting till oct 25 for neurologist apt for 2 months. Can't get early apt.
My glucose was ,80 prior.
Went to Dr to complain feet numb eyes blurred dizzy, weak
Exhausted. She ran blood work I now have diabetes. I am at 120. Prendizone is great short term but now what.
The issue is Dr are afraid to prescribe pain meds. I do not
Take any meds unless no choice. I do acupuncture and eat healthy foods etc. Now
I am so so sick I pray I regain my health and whatever this left pain is,goes as easily as it came.
Thank you Dr Berg
😢hopeful, on my way to recovery. I was 19 when I began taking it for my SLE. I am now 23.
are u still on this medication?
I was diagnosed with extrinsic allergic alveolitis in 2005 and had to be hospitalized. I was only on prednisone for a short time but I put on weight. My lung doctor called prednisone piggy pills
Thanks, Doc. I'm on day 5 of a two week course of Prednisone. It just knocked me out of ketosis, so I'm not super happy right now. I had just gotten to two meals a day, hunger was gone and I was feeling great. I just ordered the supplements you recommended and hope those help. If anyone has any idea how to get back in ketosis while on Prednisone I'd appreciate the input. Thanks!
Raspberries!!
Useful information on how to rebuild the cortisone in the body... thanks
However when you showed 3 ways to build up the natural cortisone (on up right corner of your board) pls get the camera closer to it... same problem when you showed the medication bottle please show it in "close up" so we can see the name .
Thank you
Thanks for the info. My doctor put me back on prednisone for joint point because of the targeted chemo therapy I was on. I couldn’t figure it out why my glucose reading was through the roof. I’m guessing that’s why I can’t lose anything on Keto
Prednisone made me pre-diabetic... I have Myasthenia Gravis and I have been working with my Dr to reduce the dosage. I've gone from 30 mg a day (on which I gained 45 pounds) down to 5mg every other day... Praying to get off it forever!
oldtimefreedom hey i have mg too. and i had the same problem. after i had the dosage of 5 mg i lost all the weight and everything normal again. i wish you health and a good new year!
oldtimefreedom Omg I was using prednisone and I have Myasthenia gravis as well. Let me tell you I hope to never interact with the drug again. I was pre diabetic. I am off it completely but 1 and a 1/2 years later the side effects are still with me.
oldtimefreedom I have m- gravis as well and I'm down to 3 mg of Prednisone ever other day. I'm also on a generic cellcept heavy dose daily. I have all the I'll effects the doctor mentioned. Good luck.
Are you serious?
How long have u been on it ?
Hi. Can I take the cortisol support while on prednisone? It’s driving me crazy and feeling anxious all the time. 😔
I take L-glutethione and vitamin C together, for a while now. During covid as well, while on prednisone till I tapered off, till now. Glad I did
Did u feel any side effects when tapering off prednisone I’m down to 5mg
Hi Doctor, Could you please help me to overcome the side effects of this. I am suffering from last 5 years and surprisingly my all reports are normal everytime. Fed up of trying everything. Symptoms are Stomach heaviness, acne, weakness/fatigue, loss of appetite and many more. Please suggest me something to overcome this
I have lumbar stenosis (narrowing of the spinal channel that pinches my spinal cord). After doing some lifting and sitting in an awkward position for hours, I developed some intense lower back pain. A CT scan indicated that it was not kidney stones. The ER gave me a prednisone dose pack. It really worked well.. I perceive no adverse symptoms. Maybe I’ll drop over when I walk out the door now?
Hello Dr Berg, is it possible to take these supplements while taking steroids?
I got this prescribed today and I don't think I am going to take it. 😬
Adriana Veliz same wtf
Don't take it, after taking it my cycles got heavier and longer, I know you said this awhile back but please don't take that crap.
I took prednisone for off and on for 10 yrs and I'm taking it again now to protect my eyes from an autoimmune attack that is stealing my eyesight. I've had no ill effects from it. I started taking it in my mid 20's for herniated disks in my back, I'm nearly 50 and have perfect health as far as all of my labs are concerned.
I had eczema on almost 100% of my body. Living hell. Took one week of tapered prednisone three years ago. I still have eczema but very minimal. (Eczema is a lifelong disease). This drug definitely helped me. No side effects. I was very satisfied with this drug. You must decide yourself if this is right for you. Listening to all the negativity discussions below can give an over the top concern. Talk frankly with your GP and then decide. One last thought, not all UA-cam videos are by honest and legitimate sources.
My dermatologist put me on protopic . It cured my eczema . But I’m not a dr so maybe ask . It’s a non steroidal option . Sending you prayers 🙏
Had eczema for around 20 years it’s gone now . No more wicked itch 💋💋💋
This guy is not a legitimate source even though he appears to be sincere. He takes many liberties with unsubstantiated opinions while trying to pass them as scientific fact
If you have anxiety don't take this medication
mk silly I got prescription already twice and never took any, so that's good I not took them because I have a lot anxiety problems
mk silly i did
Yes it could end some one's life. not saying it has not happened all ready to many i am sure
I have never had anxiety but this toxic drug still caused huge aggression and mood swings. Nasty stuff
@@dolovfm Same here and I'm normally an even tempered person. No anxiety normally.
I guess you have never been sick. When you are sick you will take anything to get better.
Anng G agreed
Im much more sick because of it.
@juauno sans I know pain all too well and NO PREDNIZONE for me!!! No drugs either, I fought too hard too long to lose 44 pounds and beat diabetes. Thx to Dr Berg! He rocks!!
Anne G: You need to live with a person being destroyed by this drug, who thinks the doc's know better. They don't give it to you because your "sick". They give it to you and never stop, due to some number on a blood test. Spend some time researching how many drugs are given based on blood work "numbers" that are not proven to be a problem.
"Better"
Sure
Do you have any information on cortisone? I get a facet injection into my coccyx every 6 months for pain due to previously breaking it and it now being an irregular shape causing pain.
Hello Doc'..where can i purchase that adrenal support pills? Waiting for reply..thanks
What would you recommend for sarcoidosis? Prednisone is always the Doctors first choice. I have already experienced a few of the side effects prednisone can cause. I stopped taking it once I figured out that is what was causing my worsening health.
samuraigeorge71 are you saying to cut out dairy, sugar, fats while on prednisone? I have been prescribed the med recently for 1 month but told only to avoid caffeine, spicy foods and alcohol. Thank you.
elyown75 How are you feeling? Did you manage to kick the prednisone?
After having a severe reaction to Doxycycline in June, I was perscribed Prednisone 10 mg for 2 weeks. Then Pantoprazole. After finishing the steroid, I had 4 separate allergic reactions (we think 3 were soy) so doc said take 2 20 mg of Prednisone at hospital then 5 days 2x tabs. I stopped on day 2 (3rd tab) because my stomach felt inflamed and GERD got much worse. Now I have pounding in temples, numbness and tingling in hands feet, and it might be messing with my vision. Wish I never took any of these wreched meds. I was healthy before and I'm a suffering shell now. Anyone reading that has never taken any of these meds, please get a 2nd opinion or never take. Torment.
Hi, I had an reaction to Doxycycline and they gave me 5 days of Prednisone, didn't sleep properly for months and many other side effects.
How long did it take for You to recover
Dr. Breg I am 27 year old and have a chronic problem with my nasal polyps for the last 7 years. I also got two time surgical removals. But still the problem persists and I often get it congested my airways and infections. I tried many treatment plans and nothing works. If anything that works is prednisolone. When I take a 20mg od for 2-3 days there will be a relief for a week or two.. I am not taking it regularly but still I had to take about 170mg in an month in a dose adjusted way like 5 or 10
according to the severity. Can you suggest me some tips. Is it better for me to go for cortisol support, NAC and nettle root..
Please looking forward for your comment
