As Indian I am disappointed with this News...... Greed killed Goa as tourist destination. Taxi....Hotel...Policegiri....& Restaurant rates are too high.
Yup.. I seen police laying traps for tourists by collaborating with escorts.. and later extort money from them.. But yeah.. usually they do this with indian tourists only..
Goan blaming everyone except themselves, rude pathetic behaviour bad roads electricity fluctuations corrupt cops pathetic food they just want hippie to pay them handsomely whereas Indian tourists want value for money that's why majority of them you'll find on social media saying don't come to goa.
@@shubhdeep3.0 I'm a local,, and yes there is massive dip in international tourists. Majority of what we receive are low spending domestic tourists. @@shubhdeep3.0 The problem that since Mumbai along with Shreesthaan (Thane, a part of the larger Thane district) forms an island (Shatshasti Island), it cannot grow horizontally is not a problem at all. Stop building bridges in the ocean (from Bandra to Versova). Stop the desecration of Juhu Seaface with immediate effect. Save the Juhu Seaface, a 7 km long seaface, which is the most visited beach in Sindhusthaan, with immediate effect. The FSI must be fixed at 1 or less and the height of buildings must be fixed at 98 feet or less both depending on the natural underground water-table level (this will control the population explosion and keep population at the right level/sq km. Also this will prevent an already worldwide hazardous phenomenon called 'the sick building effect' which is because of zero sunlight penetration on the ground, which leads to death due to cancer, kidney failure, TB, chronic respiratory disorders amongst others. Also this will prevent an already worldwide catastrophe i.e. flooding that happens because higher FSI and taller buildings lead to larger underground foundations of those buildings which leads to less space for water both in the rocky aquifers and the soil which leads to a catastrophic rise in the water-table which leads to flooding. Also this will prevent tripling or quadrupling of electricity bills which happens because tall buildings lead to almost no daylight penetration on the ground or inside the houses or offices which leads to usage of electricity throughout the day for light and air-conditioning which leads to multiple times higher bills. ) . As an American who has traveled all over the world but the most beautiful humble people I met is from Sri-Lanka ❤❤ fantastic fabulous clean Island with beautiful Elephants Yummy Food Blue Beaches, Historical places 💔💔 A Paradise 😊 unforgettable memories love you Sri-Lankans ❤
No point of comparing with Sri Lanka. 😂😂 It is even better experience. Closer to home. Gives international vibes. More family friendly. Cheaper and still less corrupted. And as far as my experience, people are genuine and friendlier too.
@@jais7981 Of course. I mean better than Thailand. No harm going to Thailand on a bachelor trip with your friends. But for a family trip, Sri Lanka is better I suppose.
I recently visited Sri Lanka with family during the peak Christmas Season, and it was a fantastic experience. Sri Lanka is stunningly beautiful, and nature is everywhere.
Police and RTO keep targetting tourists with hidden checkpoints. We had a terrible experience of a policeman stopping our car with Karnataka licence plate for some perceived rule break, and he was unnecessarily harsh when we asked him what rule did we break. Apparently, our car touched the yellow line in the center of the road! We didn't overtake, we had just stepped on the yellow line. We had to pay 1500 to get out, as he was threatening to make it a big deal, seizing the vehicle, court case etc. Pure harassment because we were outsiders to the state. Another issue we heard was the bike/scooter rentals. The RTO/police stop the riders asking for vehicle insurance, even though they know it is a rental vehicle, and they should be checking with the vendors renting. Again the riders have to pay a fine or bribe to get out. Vendors wash their hands off. Looks like it is a nexus between the vendors and RTO/police.
When you enter and exit Goa border by road be careful. Police will be hiding in some corner to fine you for something!!! This is only applicable to outside Goa vehicles!!!
Dear india.Sri Lanka's new president has introduced the "Clean Sri Lanka" project as a concept. It emphasizes not only cleanliness but also humility, respect for others, proper waste management, spirituality, adherence to the law, and discipline in every aspect. Apply this to India to study this initiative as well. It is believed that Sri Lanka will achieve an even brighter future with this vision.
@@himanshuutube We don't even make that much money from tourism. A lot of the shacks and hotels are owned by outsiders. Sure there has been some employment but even that's being taken away by cheaper labour that has flooded the state from the north.
Public transportation is cheap, A Shuttle airconditioned bus is Rs 50 from Panjim to Margao, but Taxi prices are way too high. Took a rickshaw in Mumbai from Borivali to Airport Rs. 200. Same trip in Goa would be Rs. 600. By the way I am a Goan living in the US.

Words of mouth is really important, i am spanish and my cousin visited India and i also wanted to go but he told me to not because of the air pollution. If India solve pollution and clean cities more tourist will come.
True. But odds of that happening any time soon is slim to none. What India lacks is civic sense among the populace. All have the mentality that, "Someone else will clean it up, so its ok to throw trash everywhere". Following the traffic rules is also one of them. Constant honking of vehicles, even if stuck at a red light, thus noise pollution. The staring is also a problem. Many people dont see many foreigers around so they stare at them, out of curiousity. Right when you exit te airport or a railway station, you will be surrounded by cabbies, all will try to overcharge you to take you to your destination. These are the stuff where we cant give any excuses sadly. Air pollution is quite high. But its just that you cannot expect it to go down so soon, as its still a developing country heavily reliant on fossil fuel to meet energy needs. So nothing can be done in that regard. Just needs some time.
And if India had the infrastructure to fix pollution they higher cost of living would kill millions of starvation…and if they lower pollution …that gets more tourists….which would lead to more pollution lol
People in the west have fairytale fantasies about India, that it`s a beautiful old culture, a land of tolerance, the biggest democracy in the world, the 4th or 5th or whatever economy in the world and suchlike nonsense. It is only when you actually go to real India and not the India of your fantasies that you realize you don`t want to see that country EVER again.
You’ll never have a good holiday to rest your mind and body in India. The pollution and incessant traffic honking all the way into the wee morning will kill you. If you go into the mountains, there’s no amenities and you’ll face connectivity issues, and pray you’ll wouldn’t get into any mishaps

Has anyone spoken abt this oddity, 15 to 20 years back Goa was so good to travel to, it had a very high reputation, suddenly in past 15-20 years wht happened? It's because now Goa is filled with people who have come from ur states they do dadaghari openly & they are ultra curropt & got full political backing because of their vote & tbeir haftas greedy mlas of Goa thrive on. Fellows from bihar, UP, Jharkand, Delhi, Karnatak etc come to Goa & not the decent people, the most cunning & conniving fellows are here in Goa.
Just few months, last year a criminal who was wanted from another state of India took shelter in Goa "peacefully" for a long duration without being stop or investigated. One of the many flaws of Goa. Also, many boat rides in North Goa are owned by kannads, who are very nice people when I've met them in Karnataka. But when they come to Goa, the curroption consumes their good nature & turns them into aggressive, conniving fellows who seek only to scam tourists. There's a sense of lawlessness in these people's minds. They literally know they do something wrong & the Goa gov. with it's police will support & protect them. AS a Native Goan I can say We Goans ourselves are fed up of these fellow who come & settled in Goa & those traitor Goa MLAs who support them along with the Goa police.
Read the comments. Sad but true. I first visited Goa in 1992. It was an amazing experience. My last visit was in 2018. That visit was a horrible experience. Overcrowded, filthy beaches. Taxis and hotels were very expensive. In short it was poor value for money. I just returned from Vietnam. My trip was great. Loved it. Goa is no more a tourist destination anymore.
Overcrowded filthy beaches are a result of low class domestic tourists invading the state. Goa was great back in the 70s, 80s. I wish our golden state sees those times of peace again

Just an example of Goa's taxi mafia, my friend Goan himself working there in pharma company had his manager visit their office in Goa, basically official visit for a week. He was booked into a hotel which was enroute my friend's office and home. Since it was official visit, on the first day my friend drove to the hotel, picked up his manager and then dropped him back in the evening. Taxi mafia outside the hotel saw this. When he went Next morning again to the hotel, these taxi mafia gheraoed my friend and threatened him of dire consequences if he came up again and said, his manager should hire their taxi only. My friend explained he was not another taxi driver and was a colleague but no use. All they said, if you need your car and yourself safe, don't show up here again. Finally that manager was forced to hire taxi there. This incident was about 7-8 years back. I am glad that tourists have started shunning this overhyped place.

Goa's entire appeal was the offer of an Indo-Latin culture, free flowing alcohol, chilled locals, beautiful beaches and quiet rural villages. But the locals got greedy, they scammed other locals who weren't greedy but were too trusting. Many Goans, especially Catholics who made up the unique culture, left in droves to the West, as Hindutva and Islamic idealogies started creeping into the state. Corruption became endemic. Tourism stopped actually benefiting the locals but became a money making machine for the top elite, who didn't care who was on the ground, as long as the money was flowing in. Covid and the Russian and Israeli wars turned out to be the final blow to Goa. Covid destroyed economies. The Russian and Israeli tourists, who were making Goa their go to destination for 2 decades, got mired in full time wars and their numbers dropped. Domestic tourists came for the booze and then treated Goa the same way they treat the rest of India - a giant dung heap. Welcome to the current state of Goa.

This was bound to happen. The people of the industry and locals themselves destroyed the industry. No checks on anything.

Overcrowded beaches? You're obviously not a local. It's overcrowded with domestic tourists and migrants from other states not locals - who often ruin the experience for foreign tourists. Goa should thus follow Kerala's policy where locals run most of the hospitality industry and that's why their tourism industry has overtaken.
I was there recently with my girlfriend, had 3 incidences where the locals showed aggression for no reasons. Once I was crossing the road in a traffic jam and this guy hit my car aggressively with his hand, I thought a vehicle hit me, and when i opened the window and checked, he was shouting at my for crossing the road from there but he was also crossing it from there. Then in fuel station, I asked for the petrol of 2k but he filled it for 1k and when I confronted, he stated fighting and became too aggressive. Both time I felt like if I would have also gotten aggressive, the fight would have been physical. If you don’t want tourists, you can’t respect them, they will not come, rest in peace. And those 35% people who are employed in the tourism industry should also rest in peace.

If India can manage their tourism industry effectively, they could easily earn a significant amount of money. I don't understand why no one seems to care about it.
The mindset needs to change. Tourists are not for looting. Give them better experiences and they will come back again and again. We cannot blame them if they prefer Thailand, Bali, or Vietnam.

Us Indians really need to be taught some ethics in school. It seems the society is too capitalistic without any sense of right or wrong. The hospitality should be heavily regulated and strict action needs to be taken against scammers.
Definitely Dears, we Indians are having many states and we consider each are brothers. Srilanka, Nepal and Bhutan are our cousin brothers. We wish you to be flourished. ❤
I went to Goa recently. For 2 people over 5 nights it has costed us 85,000. It was 8000 a night in Amritara (actual worth about 5k) and each food dish (if sea food or non veg) cost is almost 700 to 1200. After we returned we realised we could have gone out of India itself for this budget. The taxis were a ripoff charging 4000 to 6000 for a 30km drive. And the autos too. The only thing cheap is alcohol and we had only Roku gin which was about 4K in Goa vs 7 or 8k in Bangalore And more than the money itself I felt a sense of inherent hate for fellow Indians from the locals, like they hate you but like goras. The Radisson hotel has a sea facing restaurant on mandrem beach, they will allow goras to sit in their shack but not Indians. And we literally saw a middle age uncle chase down 2 rental bikes and beat the boys for as much as coming close to his bike or cutting him off etc. even the local restaurants have started charging as much as 300 for an “authentic” Goan thali. We went by some Instagram post and visited one such restaurant and the thali was a rip off one paper thin slice of fish fry, tomato and turmeric flavour water and rice.
Ask yourself why they favor the gora over their own people and the reasons are 1. Behavior 2. Manners 3. how they treat the workers/waiter. I used to think it was money I.e.Goras spent more but I found out that wasn't the case.
@@BeliedatAsk yourself what right they have to do that if they are Indians themselves. This bullshit that you spew is just a pathetic excuse. Having visited Goa frequently between 1969 and now, as a private tourist and also as a corporate person attending conferences and conventions, I have been a witness to the dramatic changes that have happened there. Some good and many not good at all. Apart from the reasons for Goa's decline mentioned in the video, the other negative factors are overall shabbiness, 4:25 dirty beaches with ugly shacks, piles of garbage everywhere, broken roads and very high, abrasive local population. There is no comparison with Macau, a former Portugese enclave, in infrastructure, sophistication & wealth creation. Chinese have built on what they inherited and we have run into ground what once was a serene paradise. We have killed the goose that hitherto layed golden eggs.
BS . Get your facts right first. The majority of hospitality establishments ( hotels and restaurants) in Goa are now run by outsiders from other states (Non locals) who often charge high prices for sub standard quality - minting Goa as a cash cow. This has been a steady case since 2014 and peaked after the COVID lockdowns since 2019 when there was mass influx of domestic migrants, and tourists
Very well explained. 1. Govt can develop a good metro train like, Delhi, connecting airport, railway station, important beaches and markets and hotels. Air-conditioned buses at affordable prices can ply too. 2. Hotel industry needs to reflect and regulate itself. 3. Police high-handedness can be reined in by the govt.
I am Goan. The first point of contact for any Tourist is the Taxi, when they land in Goa by flight. Taxi owners think it's their birthright to overcharge the customer, even a local is not given any discount. So your first experience is a bad one, then the hotels, Rent a cab, Restaurant overcharge you and the experience for a tourist worsens. We need to change all this. Thailand is No 1 in hospitality coz they won't cheat you. We have to reinvent ourselves. That being said, I feel prices will be hiked next year by these countries too.
Agreed and appreciate honesty and acceptance of issue. Agree that other location might charge more but then there will be more countries. Remember India with growing middle class is going to generate a lot tourist so it is sad that Goan’s are going to miss it when India is finally taking off. Also lot of other states are improving their hospitality. If you want to fix goa issues first get of Uber and Ola entry it will solve half issues. Just came back from Kashi and Ayodhya and granted that was religious trip still experience was pleasant and never felt cheated while roaming around in streets or felt harassed or threatened and we are talking about UP. I visited UP 20 years back and it was scary and now different.

I've been to Goa twice, in 2016 and in 2019. It was such a great vibrant clean place with so many things to do and such beautiful places to visit. But, it was quite apparent that this state is mafia run, when it cost us Rs.2200 from Thivim to Calangute. Food was more expensive than Mumbai. Activa for 3 days cost us Rs. 1500. Next time, I'd rather go to other places in SE Asia like Thailand and Indonesia. I'll save some money and sanity.
Activa cost ₹1500 for 1 day 29th Dec 2024 Morjim. It was crowded in Baga, Calangute, Candolim. But surely tourism is reduced this year. Too much over priced for everything.
@@SonuYadav-yx1lm Best to visit South Goa. Less crowded. I rented Avenger for two days it was 1500 and roads were relatively empty in November. As a Goan I avoid Calangute as it's too crowded.
Is ₹500/day for a scooter supposed to be expensive? I went there in October 2024 and rented an Activa at ₹450/day. I felt the prices were reasonable. In Ahmedabad, you won't get any two-wheeler under ₹1000/day. I again went there during Christmas and got an Activa for ₹800/day. Considering it was peak season, I felt the prices were reasonable again.
Well you can't just blame the price hike. One has to pay legal and illegal taxes, wages, operation and maintenance expenses. But, what makes a tourist spot like Goa to be vibrant? Most of us expect a place to be something beautiful but we end up littering the places.

The most annoying part is people in power and authority are not even acknowledging the fact that there’s something wrong with goa, They are simply saying “we never had those many visitors to start with and what we had are Russian tourists visiting goa now due to war there’s a decline and the taxi mafia” I visited goa very recently and i’m a proud indian who want to explore the motherland, GOA WAS A SCAM and the vibe is not the same, very expensive and not a value for money deal, tbh now it’s a city of scammers, the police are the worst of. It’s not just worth it. They all are just ruining the culture and the place.
I visited Sri lanka last month for 2 weeks. I can't believe how people in Sri Lanka are so polite and friendly that much. And the land is a true paradise with so much to offfer that you need atleast a year to cover half of that.that little land is packed with joy to be the hot spot for tourists and I am no wonder it is the number 1 tourist destination in the world.hope they maintain that forever and I will be there again next year for sure.😎

It’s positive, Palkiji. The entire world revolves around understanding and fulfilling customer needs. In a free market economy, success or failure is determined by the value delivered. Tourists in Goa often felt shortchanged, the amount of money made from decades of tousism isnt invested anywhere, we are stuck with subpar beaches and resorts, but India must step up its game to compete globally, especially since tourism plays a significant role in our economy.

Infrastructure development needs to be completed during this period to accommodate future growth. The current government is planning accordingly to ensure more tourists can be welcomed without harming the environment.
People should start considering North-East, in particular Meghalaya as their vacation destination. Everything there is magical. But as tourists we also need to be responsible in respecting the locals of the places that we visit

It’s gone to the dogs, literally. Barking and howling stray dogs, in packs of 10-12 around every street corner, every beach, and also in or near residential buildings. Filthy, sick, aggressive, and a rabies threat of epidemic proportions on the horizon. People can’t sleep at night, the tourists are afraid, and the babas make good money advising pious vulnerable simpletons to feed the dogs. Not visiting for these reasons.
As a Goan, I am happy that Goa isn't going to be that crowded. Goa isn't just a cheap booze and party state of India. Also, i hope the taxi mafia is completely done away with! Goa is healing ❤
As you are a goan I think you are really being overly hopeful regarding the taxi mafia. The Goan taxi mafia is the worst in India and will not go away anytime soon. Sad but true !
All you useless people who don't work in tourism will say this, but when the state revenue drops, it will inevitably affect everybody in the state. Pathetic uneducated comments.
I have hardly seen any Brit choosing Goa over Spain, Turkey, Southern Italy or French Riviera for summer holidays lol. Only met two people in my 4 years time here in the UK who have been to Goa and haven’t met anyone yet who wish to visit. They have better options right at their doorsteps.
Thank you Palki for addressing Goa issue. Besides above mentioned issues there are lot more which has contributed to Goa's downfall. 1. Land mafia has killed tourism completely. Hills, forests, scenic beauty near coastal belt has been destroyed to make way for Hotel projects. 2. No Check on fake liquors and cashew nuts and unhygienic food outlets. 3.Tourists are looted by Clubs, Spa's , Tatoo shops, water sports operating illegally by outside state people with the Blessings of some greedy people. Touts and scammers working for this people everywhere. Police and concern authorities has no control on this people who loot tourist, who in turn think that they are goans. This is reason why there are so many hate comments from people. Too much greed, unplanned development, extorting money have caused double impact on tourism. Sad part is current government, authorities and their administration don't even acknowledge the decline in tourist, they will just laugh, dust away the issue saying All is well.
Palki should visit Goa herself instead of just parroting other news source, go see n experience there, then report on real situation, more credible than story telling!
Goa's Loss is India's Loss. Unplanned tourism and greed is the root cause for this collapse. Its a great lessons learned for all other states in India. Akand Bharat 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 Jai Hind
The same needs to happen up in Himachal, our people have been polluting those places for a very long time and the rates of the hotels are just unbelievable, you'd think you were booking a 5 star hotel for goodness sake
As a Goan local this is a bit of a mix bag for me. I have had numerous frustrating experiences involving domestic tourists so I am in a way happy but I am also aware how important tourism is for my state unlike some others who are commenting here about remittances and other nonsense. It all boils down to basic civic sense which we Indians lack. I remember 10-12 years back, Goa was much less chaotic. Locals were warm and welcoming and tourists respectful. Now, the number of entitled tourists (mainly domestic) have drastically increased. Blocking roads to take photos, entering private properties, littering outside homes etc will obviously anger the locals. All of this has made us locals hostile and now we refuse to even consider that most tourists are respectful and it's only a few idiots who create nuisance and stick out. We are in the wrong here too. The second is the taxi mafia. Fuck them, even I am pissed off at them. Charging Rs3000 for a ride that normally will cost Rs1000 anyhwere else is stupid. They are definitely going down with decreasing popularity of Goa and I am happy for that.
Well Goa Govt should screen people before entering the state understanding their education and behaviour . This way we can identify idiots who cause nuisance and deport them back to their state.
True but locals being frustrated can be understood. But calling them Ghanti and beating them up is a bit too much. I recently saw a couple get beaten up in Margaon by local conductors because he was charging them 100₹ each to go to Panjim bus stand and that couple argued about the price and ended up in a fight. This kind of behaviour is just sad and I hope Both Goans and Outsiders show some ethics and heal Goa again.
Am born in Goa but since my car is Mh I was targeted by taxi driver whn he was violating traffic rules, 2nd thing is yes it's good tht tourist are slowly getting away from Goa but isn't really good for the locals who have invested in taxis n suctors some local people go out to Europe and work as domestic helpers tynka kaihuch farak padchona so saying good for locals is just shhanpana ji aamka maarak padtali in long run

This trend is a positive shift. It gives Goa an opportunity to restore and preserve its unique culture while focusing on other sectors like industries and its port, beyond just tourism.
This is foolish approach…tourism in goa is established and developed sector…if there is some problem in the sector then it should be addressed as easy solution in placing of building new industry and port

Hotels are ridiculously expensive compared to other places, and it’s incredibly disappointing. The hotel association clearly has no intention of reducing rates anytime soon. It’s simple math: there’s only a 30% decline in demand, yet they’re still charging double for the remaining 70%. Airlines managed to figure it out and brought their prices back to reasonable levels, but these beach hut and shack owners are the worst. You pay the price of a five-star hotel, and they can’t even provide a toothbrush without making you feel like you’re asking for the moon. It’s beyond frustrating.
I was in Goa for several weeks in 1974 . We stayed at I think Colva beach near Margao . There was two eateries at the beach ...one called I think Vincies . We stayed in a villa owned by a family by name of Rodrigous ..no running water ..to bath it was haul water from the courtyard well and pour it over yourself .. there was a Chai shop selling sweet buns nearby ..I remember it all well 😊
We visited Goa in August 2024 and returned to Delhi after 5 days, but the trip was disappointing. Here’s why: 1. High airfare: The ticket prices were exorbitant. 2. Poor resort experience: The resort staff misbehaved with one of my family members. Additionally, the cost of the resort was too high for the limited facilities provided. 3. Expensive cab services: The charges for local transport were unreasonably high. 4. Seafood disappointment: We planned to enjoy seafood, but despite trying multiple restaurants, the food tasted worse than roadside stalls. 5. Beach experience: The beaches were unclean, making them feel more like sewers than scenic spots. Overall, we spent around ₹3 lakh for this trip (for two couples), and it was completely not worth it. I will never visit Goa again.
Lol you spent 3 lakh must be very rich, throwing money here and there all along. but yes I agree goa is unnecessarily hyped. you can get some wonderful peaceful mornings/evening in south goa but if are going luxury, exotic food party , i think its not worth it.

The problem that since Mumbai along with Shreesthaan (Thane, a part of the larger Thane district) forms an island (Shatshasti Island), it cannot grow horizontally is not a problem at all. It is a fabricated excuse by the politicians, authority and builder nexus to build skyscrapers, high-rise buildings and coastal roads on expensive Mumbai land and even worse bridges and roads in the ocean(e.g. Bandra-Worli sea link) to make quick and huge money at the expense of destroying nature (and its beauty), of sane living in and of sane development of Mumbai..
Also this will prevent tripling or quadrupling of electricity bills which happens because tall buildings lead to almost no daylight penetration on the ground or inside the houses or offices which leads to usage of electricity throughout the day for light and air-conditioning which leads to multiple times higher bills. ) .
The island (seperated by the Ulhas river) must be connected to its surrounding cities that are Navi Mumbai, Shreesthaan (Thane), Vasai-Virar by bridges across the river ( bridges already existing and also Trans Harbour Link across Ulhas river's brack waters near Panvel creek) and further by roads (roads already existing) and metros including 'water metros' (not existing) for e.g. as in Surat and Kerala and 'bus metros' (not existing) and 'train metros' (not existing) within Mumbai and to Shreesthaan (Thane), Kalyan-Dombivli, Navi Mumbai, Panvel, Badlapur, Ambernath, Vasai-Virar.
Not by making insane coastal roads (including bridges) in the ocean and on the beaches destroying all the open spaces (beaches) and beautiful (happiness-giving) views (the sea, the horizon, the sky, the sunset) and the underwater flora and fauna (including planktons that light up the sea at night) forming the entire seaface. For e.g. as at the Sabarmati River Front and the Ghats of Ganga and Sharayu river.
The Worli Seaface is gone. Completely desecrated.
There must not be any bridge in the ocean (from Bandra to Versova: Stop the desecration of Juhu Seaface with immediate effect. Save Juhu Seaface a 7 km long seaface, which is the most visited beach in Sindhusthaan, with immediate effect ) or on the beaches or shore areas or hills/mountains, to obstruct and hinder beautiful views from the beaches or from anywhere inland. There must be unobstructed, unhindered views,as there are now, (except the Bandra-Worli Sea Link plus a new addition now the coastal road which makes ugly the view from Bandra, Mahim, Worli). Also from such beautiful places as beaches, seashores and others, the skyscrapers and/or high-rise buildings must not be visible.
Mumbai is the number 1 tourist (local i.e. from the city, from the state, national, international) destination in Sindhusthaan because of its hills including Andheri (Andhara Giri or Dongar which is 200 feet tall, monolithic, mesozoic era, 6.6 crore years old, the only one inside a city in the whole world, one of the only two anywhere in the whole world, heritage site ), 6 rivers (Ulhas river which forms the Shreesthaan (Thane) creek and the Vasai creek to form the Shatshasti island, Mahim river i.e. the so-called mithi river, the Oshiwara river, the Shreesthaan (Thane)/Mulund river, the Dahisar river, the Poisar river), streams+

Plus a sister 'The Tungareshwar National Wildlife Sanctuary' right across the Ulhas river in the Shreesthaan (Thane) district. The bungalows built at Yeoor Hills, the Tikkuji Ni Wadi, the roads across the forests to go from one side to the other must be taken out with immediate effect.
Only the access roads for the adivasis i.e. the original forest dwellers to their padas i.e. small villages must be allowed strictly.), Shreesthaan (Thane) creek National wildlife sanctuary, Aarey (including forests which the Modi/Fadnavis gov converted into a development zone from a no-development zone to build the metro 3 car shed by passing a legislation i.e. law after the courts and the National Green Tribunal stopped their work, Chhota Kashmir garden+lake, film city's lake. But all business and infrastructural activities like Film City, Aarey Mik Colony, Metro car shed+depot, 5 star hotel Renaissance or Westin, Royal Palms must be taken out with immediate effect), mangrove forests (saplings planted, that too in some other place, cannot compensate for uprooted trees grown up over 15 to 50 years or more and for destroying the natural biodiversity and it's habitat at the present location), wetlands (including 'khaadis' and mangroves along the nalas), natural and heritage man-made saltpans, more than 88 lakes, 150 ancient caves, more than 950 gardens and parks of Mumbai, playgrounds (maidans), sports complexes, swimming pools, recreation clubs, stadiums, beaches of Vasai-Virar, Palghar and Raigad amongst other tourist attractions.
The value of Mumbai's natural resources of aesthetic concern and/or man-made tourist attractions must be conserved by not making man-made structures (including skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, transportation infrastructure ) near it or visible from its location.
People of Maharashtra must go to court and also do an andolan against the gov (Modi gov, Gadkari gov, Fadnavis gov, Shinde gov or Thackeray gov or Gandhi gov or Pawar gov or Kejriwal gov or Akhilesh gov or Mamata gov or any gov) and/or any authority (Ashwini Bhide authority whose husband left his job of an IAS officer and became a first generation prolific entrepreneur) or any builder (Ambani or Adani or Hiranandani or LT or anybody) that plans and permits such purposeful desecration of natural beauty and, with immediate effect, get a permanent ban on desecration of and a permanent law for protection of natural resources of aesthetic concern i.e. natural beauty of our heritage state Maharashtra.

Clean also. Our cities are dirty
This is obsolutely tru
Very true. I had similar experience with RTO. Only outside state vehicles are being stopped!!!

Just needs some time.
pollution and population.
And if India had the infrastructure to fix pollution they higher cost of living would kill millions of starvation…and if they lower pollution …that gets more tourists….which would lead to more pollution lol

The only thing cheap is alcohol and we had only Roku gin which was about 4K in Goa vs 7 or 8k in Bangalore
And more than the money itself I felt a sense of inherent hate for fellow Indians from the locals, like they hate you but like goras.
Go to Kerala, same beaches 1/5 th of this cost
Ask yourself why they favor the gora over their own people and the reasons are 1. Behavior 2. Manners 3. how they treat the workers/waiter.

Taxi mafia @@agxec2932
Local people? What did they do to you? Or did you assume the scammers are locals?

As a Goan, I am happy that Goa isn't going to be that crowded. Goa isn't just a cheap booze and party state of India.
Also, i hope the taxi mafia is completely done away with!
Goa is healing ❤
Maybe. But the problem isn’t outsiders. But the criminal gangs that work there, VERY much with the support of Goans.
Pathetic uneducated comments.
now I understand why there’s a lot of Indians having their holidays here in Thailand
Party moved to Sri Lanka
Sri lanka is clean and modern beautiful weather golden sand beaches and Cool mountain resorts and safe you can even walk middle of night no issues
@@panoramablue9191I don't really think so
@@dreamaway2 you don’t have to think. They are facts.
That’s why we are going to Thailand and Vietnam 😊
3 groups rarely visit Goa these days. Russians & Israelis are busy, Brits cannot afford it. (only joking)
right
You stay uk
But still they are visiting more expensive places like Maldives
@@SaheelHussanmaldives can be cheaper if you know how to travel in Budget
Everywhere loots in India now....Delhi, Goa, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh etc...
Goa's Loss is India's Loss. Unplanned tourism and greed is the root cause for this collapse. Its a great lessons learned for all other states in India. Akand Bharat 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Jai Hind
Akhand bharat is another problem imagine if goa is under portugal it would have developed more not like this
Good. Let Goa recover from all the damage done to it over the years 👍🏻
This is a good news for goan locals. Peace ✌️
Great balanced non emotional comment
Every where in India the transportation mafia is such a pain. They unionise get political support and then start extorting us.
As a goan I will tell you there is nothing in goa to experience only beaches and sun.
That is literally why people go there, to see beaches and sun. 😂
@@Delllatitude7490 Gujrat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerela have beach on the west coast, there is also east coast. Goa was special because of cleanliness, liberal rules with alcohol and beef. Without that Goa is same as Gujrat
Really? What about the historical monuments, churches, temples, and local cuisine and the friendly nature of the locals?
Locals need to b deported to Portugal. They believe it’s their homeland anyways. Y keep national security threat alive and feed d monster??
@SNEHDENCARDOSO...YES INDEED GOA HAS ONLY BEACHES....BUT GOA HAD That VIBE FOR FREEDOM ENJOYMENT.....NO JUDGEMENT ATTITUDE WHICH REST OF INDIA WAS NEWER HAVING THAT....MANY LOVESTORIES ACTUALLY MATURED IN GOA EHICH EVENTUALLY TURNED IN MARRIAGES.......GOA ALWAYS HAD SPECIAL PLACE IN EVERYBODIES MEMORIES BECAUSE OF TRIPS & EXPERIENCES....
It is much cheaper to visit Bangkok as compared to Goa
I past 10 years, i visited Bangkok two times (with family) but not visited Goa in even last 20 years
Even if Goa Govt does anything to woo customers…
there is a good chance casinos will ditch Goa to move out to Sri Lanka
It's no more secured place. Recently A.P tourister was killed.
This trend is a positive shift. It gives Goa an opportunity to restore and preserve its unique culture while focusing on other sectors like industries and its port, beyond just tourism.
Exactly what was on my mind. You said it.
No its not
This is foolish approach…tourism in goa is established and developed sector…if there is some problem in the sector then it should be addressed as easy solution in placing of building new industry and port
Gajab, bhai phle beyond tourism kuchh bna lete fir tourism barbad krte yadi krna hi tha to.
No tourism = Poor Goa
Nothing compare to Lanka we are from Israel And our Best friends are from New york we being to all of Asia but Lanka is uniq experience Very clean country culture And weather we love it Modern main cities with super nice malls / golden sand sea beaches / Cool mountain resorts /rain forest / Wild life /gr eat train service / very friendly Sinhal people its a safe country you can even walk middle of night no issues Rent a self dive vehicle or Tuk Tuk We love SRI LANKA
And you are lanka making tourism advertisement of your country 😂😂😂
@@panoramablue9191 when people from your country visit, it's not you who don't feel safe. It's them who start to feel not safe in their own country 😅

Here’s why:
To loose money exorbitantly but also precious time. Very saddening and pathetic!!!!!!🤔🤔
Lol you spent 3 lakh must be very rich, throwing money here and there all along. but yes I agree goa is unnecessarily hyped. you can get some wonderful peaceful mornings/evening in south goa but if are going luxury, exotic food party , i think its not worth it.
Tf? 3 lakhs for 5 days ?? 💀
That too IN AN INDIAN STATE, within India?!💀😵💫
I would say this sounds like poor choice of restaurants for food and last minute booking
I'm happy! Goa being Baptisted and Restored to its original natural beauty. Amen and Hallelujah. Himachal, watch and learn.. May be you can avoid a Goa-like 'fate'. Himalayas are being desecrated at breakneck speed currently.
2km auto ride 300rs .....taxi drop from baga to tivim station 600rs...
Goans themselves reaponsible for the drop...
these prices are outdated. we (group of two) had to pay 800 rs for taxi just for 4 KM Vagator to Calangute. 700 Rs for an Auto (Calangute to Thivim). Taxi 1500 from Madgaon to Calangute.......... that's too in the off-season (July 2024)
Perfect picturisation of the reality in Goa today
Taxi mafia
Even Goa needed a break from nonstop fun 😂😂🎉
