    How is the tree growth on this mango?

    • @SulcataGrove
      @SulcataGrove  10 місяців тому +1

      For us, it’s been a slow growing, compact tree, but I tipped branches often. We lost our 3 year old tree to a freeze a couple of years ago. Our replacement tree has grown painfully slow.

    Great video. How is it compared to orange sherbert mango. Thanks

      Better than OS to me, but everyone has different taste preferences.

      I have only had two ceci love fruits and they were both amazing. Both grown at Mango Men of Homestead. I loved P22 when I had it a few years ago. The first fruits on my tree were good, but not great this year. Hoping they improve.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys made my day. I planted my CeciLove tree last fall based on Alex's recommendation. I was looking for a mango similar in flavor to SweetTart but not as vigorous in growth. So now CL sounds even better than ST. I also planted a Sugarloaf, and my neighbor planted a PPK, so we're gonna have explosions of flavor-bombs in a few years!

    This is a Gary Zill mango from his Mango breeding project . Richard Cambell was granted permission to give it a name 👍 great mango. Have one in my yard. It grows slower than any mango tree I’ve ever seen.

    Wow! Ceci love better than lemon meringue! I have to get my hands on one this year.

    Does the tree have anthracnose resistance? I’m a bit inland and Pickering does well , looking for other dwarf varieties to get

      It’s too early for me to tell. I haven’t had fruit on my tree yet.

      Alex Salazar said (in one of the "Fruitful Tree's" videos) it is highly resistant to all diseases.

    I have recently added a lemon zest and a pickering to my stable of mangoe trees, but this Cecilove is on my radar and wish list in my local nursery. I'm just waiting for that call!
    Thxs for the review, guys!

    I live on the east Coast and Cant source one of these. The Treasure Coast is a barren wasteland for Mango trees for the most part.

      High demand, its hard to find. I had to order a grafted tree from Tropical Acres and wait

      Tropical Acres Farms. That’s where both of mine came from. Mango men of homestead sells them occasionally too during mango season.

    Ceccilove is sooooo good. 🥭
    Yes, it is the new top of the mango pyramid for sure!
    I was able to try two this mango season and WOW 🤩
    Where did you guys buy yours?

      We bought the fruit from Mango Men of Homestead. Our tree is from Alex at Tropical Acres Farm.

    Is it better than PPK or Coconut Cream?

    • @SulcataGrove
      @SulcataGrove  Рік тому +4

      We weren’t able to do a side by side comparison this year. I love all three mangos, but this year, I would say this Ceci Love was better than the PPK and CC mangos we ate.

    Heard it tastes a lot like sweet tart. If eaten less ripe could it be more tart?

    • @SulcataGrove
      @SulcataGrove  Рік тому +2

      I have only had two ceci love fruits and they were both perfectly ripe. I haven’t tried it side by side with sweet tart.

      Alex said it tasted like SweetTart initially but the flavor seemed to change as the tree matured.

    Never got a chance to try this variety. I finally got a tree recently. I was told it is a slow grower, patience is key. Mid-season fruit, average production.

    • @ricardo1522
      @ricardo1522 Рік тому

      Alex said the production was really good when i emailed him, you can see some examples in the Fruitful Trees video, its not as productive as Sweet Tart which is just bonkers how much it produces but it seems to produce about as much as Carrie at least around the 6ft height.

    We recently had a chance to taste a "Bolt" mango and IT WAS SO GOOD! Richard Campbell is making some awesome varieties that are without a doubt defiantly top notch!!
