Just saw them in Orlando tonight. Long time fan since the first album but never heard this song. I feel stupid for not keeping up with them. This song proves they have a higher level grasp of songwriting most artists never achieve. What an underrated band. Makes me wanna cry.
Copeland is one of those weird bands that I’m obsessed with but I only prefer to hear them live. They bring way more passion and intensity than you could ever hear from their recordings. Please come to Paris!!
I agree that they bring a whole new level of passion to their live shows but their recordings are amazing in their own right. I believe Copeland is very detail oriented when it comes to production, so everything from the changing reverb levels to the timbre of the snare drum is painstakingly chosen to make songs that you can just sink into, songs that you can listen to 50 times and still be discovering something new about them. That attention to production is much harder to appreciate during live shows.
