Even though he is a fictional character, I was so happy he finally proved everyone wrong and got back into the Majors. It was an amazing moment in the show... cant deny I was beyond frustrated when he just left the game.
Gee Garcia oh yeah of course Danny McBride but if you watch John rocker and Kenny powers a lot of the skit is based of John rocker as in stuff he has said and done in real life like the bit about calling New York “Jew York” he actually said that in real life Kenny powers is of course fictional obviously.
Whoever picked out the songs to fit with scenes on this show did a fantastic job. This scene too, the music just adds so much to the scene it's one of my favorite of the series.
the last season of E&D was brilliantly done. especially the scoring in the last few episodes. the music chosen really blew my mind. like an enchanted evening with the alluring Cherry Blossom.
Watching the first season you'd never expect the show to be at this point later on. This 3rd season was fucking amazing. Inspirational, emotional, and fucking hilarious. Steve's wigs and his step brothers hairy neck and arms.. OMG! lolololol
0:59 thats me in the Baltimore Orioles cap. these scenes were filmed at the minor league ballpark in Myrtle Beach in February 2012 and I was a paid extra
That was the best scene of all the series. I think it shoud have been ended here. Even after long years he was able to get up after his life fell apart, he could come back and achieved what was about all the story. Getting back to leauge, that was his real dream and that was the thing he gave up everything for.
If I’m being honest I think it was very important to Kenny’s character to see him overcome struggling with letting his dreams go to start a family. Season 4 was necessary to complete Kenny’s character, showing he really is ready to be a family man
@@GrapeFlavoredAntifreeze Everytime I’m watching this clip just come up to that he’s gonna just throw the third ball and cut, blackout...It let’s the viewer to decide how the things happened after

This scene went through my mind the moment I decided to leave the "big city", where I was going to work for my dream. But I know what I want now. I'm going home mother fucker!!
Ted Lasso has had a pretty solid first season too, and it's got Sudeikis in it, (Shane-Dawg of the off chance you don't know but he's pretty well known so you probably do😂) I'm looking forward to the next 2 seasons (sucks it's on apple TV though cause that interface sucks a d**k😂, and it's like the only good show on the service that you don't pay extra for😑)
Yikes. No. No one would say that. Obviously eastbound is widely regarded as up there with seinfeld, sunny, curb, & SP, but the only other sports comedy that is even remotely well regarded is Arli$$
At least Danny, Jody and David know how to end a show instead of beating a dead horse. Once they finish one thing they start a whole new hilarious project. Vice Principals and Righteous Gemstones are both amazing shows.
could be wrong, but I think this was series finale. I'm no means a screenwriter, but I Still can't understand why the writers didn't let him throw that 3rd strike, have the fans erupt, THEN walk off for perfect ending to a great series...caused me more distress than The Sopranos final scene..LOL...
Did any of us watch the same show? He faked his death and became a screenwriter, and most of season 4, as well as the whole show by extension, is his script. That’s why all the episodes are just called “Chapter _” each episode is a chapter of his book he’s writing in season 4
@@donaldumunawa4787 well throwing that strike out woulda been on top lol. But yeah. Decided getting there was good enough. The rest was icing. Family over everything Powers chose.
Yup. Terrific show. I never wanted it to end. But since it was going to regardless I wish it was here. Perfect ending and I think I would've ended on the second pitch. Going into the third. Everybody clapping him and the batter staring at each other. Then it just ends. He made it, left is up to the imagination
I saw an interview of the cast where they said they ended each season as if it were the end of the series because they never knew ahead of time whether they're contract would be renewed for another season. Thats cool in my book, looking out for the fans... nothing like those shows ending on a cliff hanger and then never coming back again.

I like to see it differently. For me this is the scene I keep on coming back to still because it says so much. It’s not that he can’t handle fame, deep down he knows he doesn’t want it. All those people cheering don’t mean shit to him, he wishes it was the people he loved cheering instead - April. He sees himself in the pitcher and is tired of being scared and doesn’t want to throw himself anymore curveballs. This is the moment where he truly realised that and “for the first time in so many moons I felt in total control”. Fuck I love this show so much. Thank you Danny McBride and Jody Hill!
Agreed. The first time I watched this I was like "what the fuck," the entire show had been building to this moment.
