  • ASMR - Dr Dmitri Tests his Patients to their ASMR Resistance
    This is an extract from Weight Loss Hypnosis. Dr Dmitri has a theory on the part of the brain that triggers ASMR, he will now test to what level of ASMR resistance there is in the community.
    Once you have recovered from the possible relaxation side effects of ASMR, please post yes or no if ASMR was triggered in you.

    ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
    I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
    That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
    I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find you trigger, common triggers will often be related to one person focusing on you or another person and watching this person focus or give them attention will trigger it.
    Triggers:
    Watching massage ** Baba Worlds Greatest Head Massage **
    Watching a person focus and describe something there passionate about ** Bob Ross deep voice talking about painting, scraping sounds, brushing sounds. The forefather of ASMR **
    Whispering ** Maria GentleWhispering the Queen of ASMR **
    Listening to someones voice & the way the talk
    Soft spoken voices & certain accents
    Hand Movements
    Watching Someone Focus on a task
    Personal Attention - like a hair cut
    Any type of Role Play the best ones are ones that involve personal attention to you, examinations, face brushing ect
    Watching someone draw or paint
    Sounds : Crinkle, Tapping, Scratching & multi layering of different sounds together
    Almost anything can be a "trigger' for a persons ASMR everybody is different, you just have to find yours.

    I've had some trouble with insomnia again this week and your videos really help...this one is a particular favourite as I love the sponge sounds. I always love to get an email telling me you've put up another video. Thank you so much for producing them so regularly. :)

      That’s ASMR; 90% is funny, 9% infuriate me and only 1% is actually relaxing, but that 1% is stellar and over the past 10 years I’ve found so many relaxing ASMR videos, many of which are by Massage ASMR.😄

    To all the people who keep replying to my comment meant for Dmitri; Please mind your own business, the issue was resolved not twenty-four hours of writing my comment. Originally, I wanted to ignore all comments, because I previously replied to another comment saying that I was in fact, private messaged by Dmitri who thanked me for correcting him. I didn't mean to offend anyone, but now it's really getting personal, "moron"? "Idiot"? Yes, thank you all for your lovely words. So in short, sorry.

    Memorize 10 or more synonyms for relaxation/relaxed/relax. You use that same word very often, and I feel something about the "x" in relax can be a little grating. Calm, Peace, Ease, etc etc all seem good for substitutes... Iunno, maybe it's just me that notices the constant use of the words, disregard me :P

    • @RichardAnthonyWaters
      @RichardAnthonyWaters 10 років тому +3

      I suppose it could be perfectly feasible that everyone can experience it...maybe just the right trigger is needed? I don't think there is anyone out there that could categorise themselves as an expert on this just yet.

    • @elvenmagejr1905
      @elvenmagejr1905 10 років тому

      Well I've been around the ASMR community for a long time and I've never heard of anyone developing the response. It's possible that you didn't have the situational experience because it simply didn't happen by chance. And then you experieneced it later on, but I don't believe you can train yourself to develop it.

    • @trollza21
      @trollza21 10 років тому

      As far as I can tell ASMR isn't something you develope, it's a natural reaction much like when you feel emotion you release adrenalin. But as others. Have said it's not very well known in the scientific community so no one is entirely sure of its cause/purpose

    • @gb731
      @gb731 9 років тому
