An angled rack for forklift cylinders is better than the one depicted, IMO. My previous employer had such a rack, it was designed for ease of movement with a forklift. I wrote "EMPTY" on the bottom of each tank so as they were replaced, it made it clear that the rack of tanks was in need of filling. Full ones were in the rack head side up and empties with the bottom ends up and visible,

I worked for uhaul for 9 years. Nobody does this, they just slap 4.6 into the tank then charge it asap. Mostly because Uhaul doesnt believe in payroll lol, it will be two guys trying to rent 12 trucks per hour. Aint nobody got time for propane.

Here in Texas, the local propane truck meters are set one a year and calibrated for 60 degree days. The day my two new tanks were filled it was 37 degrees the night before and maybe got to 46 that day. Both tanks were "Dosed" with 8 gallons of Propane before being moved into their fixed placement. When the truck that has the FIXED temp. calibration meter pumped both tanks , on each tank 75% full registered on each gauge, the truck meter said I got 400 gallons in each tank. Safely, how many gallons did I actually get?

If you NEEDED this video, you should RUN from any plant or dispensing station! (Chrissakes, I used to cool my beverages with liquid propane in August. I was fifteen....a LONG way back in the rear-view mirror!)

What's "external and internal hydrostatic?, 32:35 I didn't catch what "POL" stood for. Petroleum, oil and lubricant ? So water capacity is measured in U.S. pounds? 39:58 a couple of "goons"
It's not the paint brush or paint applicators fault, it's the painters fault, shure always try to shun the responsibility away from yourself, lol Thank You. This answered a lot of questions I had.
Pretty sure POL doesn't stand for anything it's just that type. I believe POL stands for the original manufacturer of that type of fitting.
It's a Prest o-lite fitting or only left hand thread.

He said that they are filled to 80% capacity but then says fill to 42% of the WC weight at 38:00. That will result in 20 lbs of propane being put in a 20 pounder which would be completely filled. That’s a no no. Did I miss something?
That's a good question.
I believe the propane capacity calculation, WC x .42, will give you 80% of the actual full capacity.
So, a "20lb tank" can hold 20lbs of propane when it's filled to 80%. Here is my reasoning-
An OPD will shut you off at the 80% mark. That's its purpose. A 20lb tank has an OPD that usually shuts off at around 4.6 gallons.
Each gallon will weigh about 4.2lbs. 4.6 gallons will get you right around 20lbs of propane. This is where the OPD shuts you off at 80%, thus a 20lb tank means that it holds 20lbs when at 80%.
Does that make sense?
