I really enjoyed this. I don't speak Hindi but I know Sargam so I understood the Raag chalan as you so clearly expressed it. I'm very familiar with Yaman but its great to hear your demonstration. Especially the subtle use of shuddha Ma in that decending motion, I have not heard that before but have been tempted at times to include such a phrases into my improvisations. Looking forward to hearing more from you about different Raags and examples of songs within them.

I don't think there is literally anybody on UA-cam explaining the raagas so well as you are doing .
Watching your videos can make anybody fall in love with indian classical.
These videos are v helpful for me as I don't know much about the technical aspects of classical music and to understand the real meaning of terms like chalan etc. (which i have a rough idea of by learning clas. Dance )

When I started watching your video, I glanced at the number of likes and subscriptions and I wondered if this was just another UA-cam video people liked just because it was done by a good looking girl. And then as I continued watching, I found myself nodding with enthusiasm and approval at everything you were saying. Your understanding of the raagas does not seem to be only limited to their notes and their movement but you seem to see right through their souls! The way you explained the _chalan_ of the raaga, as well as the melodic and modal distinction between the Shudh Madhyam and the Teevr Madhyam with reference to a Mohammad Rafi song, shows how finely you have grasped the _mijaaz_ of the raaga. You should take that as a big compliment since I am someone who has been deeply associated with Hindustani classical music since childhood. I must also say that you have a great voice and a flair for speaking. Your singing is rich with perfect modulation and subtle touches. I am going to tell a lot of people about your channel. Keep it going!

From this video I realised that I failed in my efforts at wooing successfully because I used 'Teevra Ma' instead of 'Shuddha Ma' !
