In Illinois and carry appendix while riding. Some states don't recognize other state's permits so I have a non-resident Utah permit too for a lot of states I travel. Colorado and New Mexico don't recognize Utah NR or IL.
Fellow Ohioan here. I just got my first motorcycle and your video was the first one I saw when looking up how to carry while riding. Do you know anything about the legality regarding transporting a long gun while on a bike? Or just the EDC stuff?
As far as I know with Ohio being an open carry state you can carry the rifle secured to you but I believe it can not be loaded same as transporting in a car. From what I read it can not have a magazine inserted. The easiest way I found was to detach an ar upper and lower and carry it in two pieces in a large backpack. 😎 worked for me for range trips
@@0hi0hdmc That'd work for my AR, but not for my shotgun or 22. Guessing I'd probably have to rig up my range bag to the bike somehow, right? Fun as it sounds to make the liberals crap their pants by riding with a shotgun on my back on a sling, I suspect the highway patrol and local cops might get more than a little upset with me if I did that.
@@0hi0hdmc I do open carry 2A demonstrations in my hometown, so I'm used to that. Cops here stop by every time and they love me at this point. But no amount of love from them would stop me from catching charges if I messed up and illegally transported a firearm on my motorcycle.
That’s what I thought. You have the right to carry, but wait not off road. Seems really weird to me. Only thing I can think of it was written for hunting, but I think this law needs rewriting.

My wife has the Utah. I have one in Ohio and one in Pennsylvania. Together I’m covered in 38 states

Such a dumb law, that as soon as you go off road, oh now its illegal.
