This thing seems like a cross between SS08 Blackout, MPM13 Blackout, and a few shades of Kingdom Waspinator, SS49 2007 Bumblebee, & MPM3 2007 Bumblebee for good insulting measure...with a VERY slight touch of ol' MP10 Optimus Prime 2.0 thrown in juuust to aggravate you more with the incredible flyin' thumbs. Absosmurfinlute nightmare fuel, indeed.😮😮😮
As long as there's no risk of breaking a figure during the transformation I'm whiling to sacrifice a fun and enjoyable transformation for two great modes. Ofc when it does both (like MMC TF action figures do sometimes) it's perfect but I rather have two amazing modes then a fun transformation. I display my TF action figures and even though I love their ability to transform and admire the engineering involved in it, I only transforme my figures 1 or 2 time depending on the mode they come inside the package. This is a very nice TF action figure and I'm glad I preordered it. Thanks for the review Mr. Skullface.
For many others, including myself, if the transformation is a difficult mess and a pain in the neck, then it will seldom be transformed, regardless of how great either modes are. For example, Zeta Toys Jazzy has a great bot mode and alt mode........but many have commented that the frustrating experience of transformation has left them to decide to leave the figure displayed forever in ONE mode, never to be transformed again. I have several figures like that. I feel that FansToys Jive will be forever left in Bot mode. Or alt-mode. Not sure which. Interestingly enough, I have some figures that don't have a good-looking mode (either bot or alt), but I'll spend the time to transform it back and forth, because the transformation process is intuitive and fun, making it an enjoyable experience. For figures that excel in bot mode, alt mode(s), transformation, and posability, then it deserves a high rating, for sure.

Both modes look great, but getting between them is a feat of over-engineering mess. I love the idea of taking a beastwars character and giving it a vehicle mode. Hope we see more, just like i hope to see more beast modes of vehicle based characters.
@Bobbyskullface can I ask you something what 3 articulation joints are most Important to you in a figure eg butterfly shoulder, a b crunch and what 3 articulation joint do you wish all future figures had
Man, I would have also thought there would be a tea-pot with those pistons. Also the sculpt makes it doubly look so with the bits just under/behind the green chest bits. A missed opportunity, to be sure.
Thanks for the review, it does look great in both modes but that transformation looked like a nightmare. Your more patient than I, definite pass for me. Plus the placement of the "stinger" is....... interesting
So it's "Waspinator" but he's a helicopter, I don't get it? Who is this for? It takes a lot for me to drop $ on an "MP" these days and this isn't cutting it.
I don't like to poke fun at a slip of the tongue, but the "incesticide" at 0:15 made me laugh.
Hahahaha what’s funny is I’ve been listening to nirvana all week. Lol my brain got it’s wires crossed.
To be fair, Wasp might very well be an inbred Predacon.
I love that it's based on a fanart, with the artist working with them, having fan made designs get working figures is awesome
Both modes look great but this looks like it would be one of those that would be chucked across the room while trying to transform it!
“MY FAVORITE “ 😂😂😂… Skulky I love you bro
I honestly love how he looks. They basically took the Beast Wars character and G1-ified him and it looks great.
This seems like a figure that you just leave in either mode and never transform.
I'm exhausted after watching that transformation

Bobby says he's heard the transformation is a bit of a bear....... I glance at the length of the video.......... oh dear!
Also starred in 2002’s Royal Rumble.

Never been so nervous watching a transformation, but I'm glad you didn't break the streak.
I'm debating which mode to leave him in, because I have very little fun trying to transform him.
He is a meticulous and frustrating process.
Great looking Wasp
Small addition here: Both the individual finger articulation at the base pin and the teapot are there - it's just ungodly tight, on my copy anyway.

This looks great. I wonder if they will do this with all the beast wars characters. This would be a great shelf before they landed on the beast wars.
There are photos online of a test shot of a construction vehicle Dinobot
This design was from theamazingspino great design and im kinda hoping trojan horse makes all of hes design and his design for bw megatron is tarn
I really like Spino's take on Devastator, Its like bayverse devvy but a lot better thought out

I wonder if they could make a megatron that is both a purple t-rex and a tank or something of that nature. Robot dino snd sort of 'cybertronian' dino
super cool
Definitely a striking design! As a Waspinator fan, I’ll pick it up if I can catch it on sale. Thanks for the review!
