The last song literally just brought me back to life I must’ve watched it 7 times in a row. Wow that is exactly how I feel. Imagine getting to experience legendary performance like this. Daniel is fucking superhero
2 of the best shows in this era are avalon boston 1997 and the newcastle workers club summer freaks tour if you have them please upload and i also know theres video recordings of the big day out tour in 1995
Daniel Johns and Scott Weiland, were the vocalists of the 90's who gave their all on stage and by far the most versatile. On the other hand, the least valued...
Then I think you’d enjoy this too. If you’re outside of Australia you might not know them. Also teenagers too. I was at this gig. ua-cam.com/video/zDh2RKZlceE/v-deo.html
Hi Fábio, you sure? Thanks for making this clear. I hoped this was at Hordern Pavilion. I remember being at their show in that venue around that time. (Must find the tourmerch T still well kept in a box somewhere. :)
Saw them that year in Sydney at Surf Skate Slam at Maroubrah beach (at the park there) with the skate competition in February and also at the Hordern Pavilion towards the end of the year. They also payed at Lunar Park and also a secret gig in a bar in the city. That’s just Sydney. Played in many other cities both in Australia and the rest of the world. All during HSC year ffs. Yes they had tutors going along for the ride but still.
Thanks, I’m from outside of Australia. But I was in Australia around that time and remember this ‘graduation-fact’ being mentioned several times on triple j radio. Good times, good memories
Lol I get why he told them to wake up! I've seen them live in Australia 13 times during their prime, mostly in Sydney and this looks like the least energetic crowd I've ever seen. Besides people near the front. Usually way more people are moshing, especially during songs like Slave, Freak and Pure Massacre. I get that it was at the Uni and all, but still!
Yeah Daniel wrote an album heavier than Frogstomp and Freakshow before Diarama but then deleted it cos he said he didn't want to do angry anymore and didn't wanna be stuck in that box. Bloody anti depresants...
2:16 “Freak”
6:08 “Roses”
9:24 “Pure Massacre”

Amazing!
Thank you man! One of my dream was to see this live performance. Hope to see homebake 1999 someday ❤
Emotion Sickness with the full purple mirror ball suit? 🥹🪩🕺
@@MysticMusingsTarot yes
@@MysticMusingsTarot give me only emotion sickness from that show and I’ll be happy 😂
It's actually uploaded, but in a lower quality 🤷🏻♂️🫣 ua-cam.com/video/xUI81HN62yc/v-deo.html
@@gasarockband I've seen that version too but it will be great if we get to see it in a better quality
HOLYYYY FUCKKK!
I hope he can look back on this with even the slightest fondness. He should be so proud! ❤
Man, I thought I would die without seeing footage of this. Thanks!!
21:24 my dream to be in the crowd moshing in this 🔥
Thank you so much to find these rare Silverchair shows🙌🏻
This "Nobody Came" performance is 🤯✨️🔥
And how he could write a song like that so young I do not know. Saw a video of them playing it live in 96.
@@MrZZsharka thanks to all the GOOD music back then.. very inspiring
@@14ed14ed True but they weren’t writing and performing good songs at 15. Daniel wrote half of Frogstomp at 12 and the other half at 13.
Wow ‘97 ! I was 17 . Awesome times
So cool to hear freak remix, thanks a lot for this upload man, your a Legend!!!
I was telling my sister about the remix and she couldn't remember it until I showed her this😂🤘
Y'know it's a relief that what they were trying at the end of the show didn't catch on 🤣
Legend!!!!
Wish I could see Brisbane River stage in 98 again!!
Love it, thanks so much for sharing 🤘🏼

Hi Jarod, just in case... this show is in Newcastle University Of Sydney. Thanks for upload!!!

Yes, this is the University show. Keep an eye out for the Hordern one though. I MAY have it. 😬
@@JarodFrank thanks man. May or may not, I’m gonna sub right now anyway! :)
39:54 I wanna know if these are Seth's keys or not? If Damien can reply that would be great.
Loved this show bring back the 90s
Nobody came it’s unbelievable
Spawn again in 1997??? That's gold
Just regular Spawn at that time
Yes the first version was recorded in the Freakshow era and it was called just "Spawn"
They named it "Spawn [in vitro version]" then they decided to record it again for neon Ballroom 👌

The band more versatil of grunge =)
They were so underrated in the 90s grunge scene
That one chick really thought shrieking Daniel's name like a banshee would impress him, huh?
Just after doing his HSC (high school certificate exams for anyone outside of Australia)
Thanks, I’m from outside of Australia. But I was in Australia around that time and remember this ‘graduation-fact’ being mentioned several times on triple j radio. Good times, good memories
their law going so hard at the very start. hard to imagine silverchair and the prodigy coexisting, but awesome nonetheless. will never be the same

There are no more maybes
I know I've got rabies
51:54 Israel’s Son
Going through their Korn phase.
Spawn Again and No Association 🤠 but also sounds like Helmet too.
Silverchair could have been a good alt metal band, but Neon Ballroom and Diorama are great albums too
