India should expedite construction of Raamsetu. This will improve diplomatic relation / bonding / trade between the two nations. Sri Lanka can meet their end od expenditure through Line of Credit granted by India.

Although this is a win for India, it is a retail win. China is scoring wholesale wins. Last year they expanded to capture 58% of all worldwide orders for building merchant ships -- giant oil tankers, container ships, vessels for hauling bulk grain and other materials. India has zero presence in that market. It will require enormous discipline to catch up, and it is not clear Indians have that, given what we see in terms of traffic discipline, spitting and throwing garbage in public, and performing bodily functions in open air.
