We love your beginner-friendly videos! BadukPop is linking to your channel today to introduce our new players to you!
Yes thank you for linking to this channel. This will help me a lot
The way he describes everything is so methodical and clear. It makes it really helpful and teaches both the specifics of the lesson and just general Go strategy. Really great job :D
Also can we talk about how nice this guys voice is, it’s so calm without being boring
As a 13kyu 9x9 player on ogs this was really helpful to help me get into bigger board sizes.
Great introduction to the 19 board from a top pro. Thank you, Michael.
Wow, you explain it carefully and make it easy for beginners , thanks
This is the best video for beginners that i've ever seen
Great video! I would be very interested to see a follow up where you extend this game into the middle game, because I find that's always where I start to run into difficulties in my own play.
thanks a lot, sir. Thanks for what you have done all these years. I'm a Go beginner. I started watching your commentary of alphago vs Lee sedol and Kejie since last week. Your commentary helps me understand this game better. I'm so touched and glad to see you are still working on Go teaching after 4 years. Really appreciate it.
Thanks.
Thanks a ton for this sir!
such a gracious master. thank you sir, you are a class act.
i just went through your whole beginner lesson playlist, and i've so much in such a short time! thanks for making these videos, they're fantastic
thank you for the video. having tried to teach myself go on and off for the past few years, this is the video I have always been looking for! it’s exciting to have you on youtube.
Yes thanks Michael. Excellent introduction.
Gosh!!! Thank you! As a two digit kyu, I have many doubts about the initial moves, middle game and shapes!
Thanks Michael , it was very usefull introduction for begginer :)
Great video. Opening for beginners is really useful
Thank you Michael! great tutorial as usual!
TY
Thanks for making these videos. they provide great lessons for beginners and a good review for others.
Thanks a lot! Amazing video & explanation, I'm looking forward to the next part :)
Super Michael, Cant wait for the next part!!
Thank you so much...
Very useful!
I would like to give you a tip to start a twitch channel - if you have not already - where people can watch you play live games. I know I would.
On twitch you could do live streaming of fun events like rengo tournaments, live games against other pros and strong amateurs and so on. It would be great.
May I request that you can make a video similar to this video, but you are actually playing against a human or computer opponent ?
Thank you for this video. I have been playing on 19x19 for some time now, but I think I'm still not very well-versed in playing the openings. I tried reading "opening go theory" but I still often have trouble knowing how to balance running out to try and surround an opponent vs attacking vs enclosing vs kakari. Is there a good formula for prioritization?
Nossa!!, Muito bom.
starting at 34 vs 44? what's the difference?
Ironically the 3-4 is not three lines from one edge and four from the other but two and three.
