Worked on and put together Yanmars 35 years ago when the dealer I worked for went to Japan every year with his family bringing back pictures of the factory with Yanmar tractors, John Deere tractors and Ford tractors in the same factory. Which lead to a lawsuit because they were selling the Yanmar cheaper than the John Deere and Ford tractors were being sold for. AWESOME tractors!
Yanmar doesn’t get enough credit. They’re a 100+ year old Japanese diesel manufacturer and the engineering powerhouse behind many other brands. Yanmar builds the entire tractor, including the engine under their own name. No rebranding or smoke and mirrors. They built JD compact tractors for 30 years and still provide their engines. He’s right, Tractor Time with Tim, Good Works, etc poo poo Yanmar when they have the most advanced transmission (iHMT), come with the most standard features, have the best warranty, are very high quality, at a price much lower than green or orange. I’m buying a YT347 for my property. This old farmer knows what he’s talking about.
If you're talking about the diesel particulate filter, it already comes installed and usually wont be replaced until you reach high hours. However adding a new filtration system is a relatively simple procedure for certified dealers like Tractor Bobs!

i got a 424 last year from tractor bobs and 100% recommend them and yanmar as the place to buy and the brand to buy.
I bought a Yanmar tractor based off this dude's recommendation.
