The Attention To Detail is greatly appreciated. Exactly the way my Pop taught me when doing things. I’m always surprised (I don’t know why) at just how shoddy Factory preparation and assembly is.
Torque adapters are great tools they don't mention in the manual👍 I've had to make a custom tool or two for my 73 XLH I appreciate the detail you put into your work
Tatro, I'm getting ready to split the cases on a 75 shovel, only to reseal the cases. My question is do I have to remove oil pump to remove that case, or can it be done without removing. Also what do you use to reseal them. Thank you if you could get back to me
like most hotrod motors, that is about it. everything get updated for your application. whatever is left over is modified to do what you want with the motor. on newer motors, replace parts. on the older stuff you have modify the parts because the good stuff is not aviliable. tatro
I know you like the Evolution engines, but looking at the Shovelhead, it's sad to see how much the factory cheaped out on just about everything from one model to the next.
@@TatroMachine I know you don't want an Evolution, but you told me once it was the best engine made by Harley. I know you're a flathead man. My point was, compared to a Shovel, the Evolution is a cheaply engineered engine.

you have to remove one of the oil pump drive gears in order to remove the case. i use the gray stuff for sealing the cases. it is 3 bond 1184.

@@TatroMachine thank you Tatro, for getting back to me
Are the cases only thing original H.D left on the engine

Can't get over how that rear lifter block didn't fit correctly. Wow man...Taiwan Teddy strikes again
