A thing I saw you do with the Dust J was using orange soul a lot, honestly I wouldn’t use it aside from RIGHT at the start of the match to get some quick damage, other than that the Chara team are going to be moving anyway so it’s mainly a waste of your stamina, and you want to do as much damage as possible in his stamina phase as if rushed in your hp phase you could lose

i have 4k exp on dustswap (swapdust?) and i can confirm, the only time orange soul is useful outside of the start of the match is if for some reason the chara's are standing still (also to me at least i always found the phase 2 worse since its hp based, i've ended alot of games on phase 1, it really sucks they get like a 50 hp heal for phase 2.

Heres a reliable tip for ruins dustfell, if they are much near than you, use bone zones find the nearest one, go to it chain them and pull them to you, then aim the blaster at em, boom 50/50 its a easy kill
