Hey, thank you very much for this video; it helped me put effects on my voice in FL for the first time. I was a little scared to do that on my own, but I followed in your steps and the result was amazing. (I really appreciate that you've used the reverb and delays that come with the software for free, because some other youtubers work with things they've bought and don't care too much for beginners...). Now a little tip: make the rectangle with your face on the screen a little smaller as you work, because sometimes it covered what you were doing with the mouse. Otherwise, great! I shared your channel with some friends because you explain everything very well and don't waste time on nonsense (lol). Keep it up!
@@ProductionDen You are really creative, and we benefit from your high expertise in the field of audio engineering. We want a series on mastering. Finally, we say thank you. I am following you from Egypt.
this is such a wonderful method, truly hats-off.. before this my reverbs and delays used to be a mess and always ruined my vocals. so i was kinda skipping doing delays in my vocals. Thank you
You probably get this all the time. Peter Gabriel. Do you have some songs or albums out there. Loved your voice before the plug ins. The music was great too.
I often get nothing but crackling when putting my effects plugins on my vocal channel. I can add them to generators just fine. Just not the stuff I get from my microphone. Any Idea what I might be doing wrong?
I have just one question. when you send a message to a channel, don't you need to configure the buttons there - a dry wet signal? you need to leave only the wet signal, and remove the dry one. If you do not disable this, then you need to disable the full message to the master channel. Correct me if I'm wrong. But it seems to me that you duplicate the vocals.
You’re right. In this example I am sending the dry vocal and the effected vocal from the reverb channel. Normally I turn the wet knob on my send channels to 100% wet.
There is an option menu at the bottom of the plugin that looks like a play symbol. There is an option in that menu to turn on the histogram. Other thing to check is the monitor input or output switch at the bottom as well.
thx for this helpful content! a quick question though, when sending a vocal track to a reverb channel, don't we usually turn the dry knob all the way down to prevent the reverb channel from clashing with the main vocal channel? Thank you and have a good day!
Hey David. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I honestly didn’t realize that I had the dry signal up until I was editing the video. So, yes, normally I send it to the effects and have the effects completely mixed wet.
Hey, I like very much your tutorials! Please help me with a trick! How can insert a delay effect to just one word in my vocal track in FL Studio! Thanks a lot!
It can feel hard at first, but once you get the fundamentals down it gets much easier. Try this one out for an overview: ua-cam.com/video/CRNeF4OOVk4/v-deo.html
Just take it one step at a time. I felt that way too and it’s slowly making more sense and taking less brain power to figure it out. The way the program handles slowly makes more sense.
You can do both ways. Some people like to go by ear/feel. Some people like to use the math way to make it more predictable/practical. It depends on how you like to approach it.
For main vocals I usually make a send track to put reverb on. For special effects I might create separate audio files and do certain things on just that track (vocal delay throws, etc.)
Yeah. IF you load up autotune in the channel you record and it is going to the main mixer track, then you should hear all the effects you have loaded. But I wouldn't record with delay, reverb, because you wouldn't be able to change anything after.
@@ProductionDen awesome idk if you could help me but when i set my one of my vocal tracks to the master track it gives me like double vocals i dont think its latency cuz i put the buffer size all the way down is there a way to fix this?
I would make sure that you setup to record on a track that is not the Master track. That will create a lot of problems. Set up your vocal on an empty mixer track. Hearing the double is probably because you have the delay putting out at a full volume. If you turn the WET knob down and the Feedback LEVEL knob down, you can reduce the amount of the "doubled" vocal sound. But I highly recommend NOT to record with delay on. Mix with delay later, but record with the least amount of effects as possible to give yourself the most mixing flexibility later.
@@ProductionDen so i checked an there is no delay no clue what it is. do you dming on insta so i can send u a vid an mayb u can see the problem? my insta is @misloverylow
When I record through a mixer slot without detaching it from the master it gives me this weird phase issue. What are you doing when you record that its not having that issue.
I’m not sure that I’m doing anything different. You can see how I setup the mixer when I am recording vocals in another video I have. Maybe it will help.
Aww thanks for replying.. I actually have lol.. I normally sing high vocal ranges and I find it hard to sit on my instrumental, what would you recommend?
Extremely clear tutorial and well taught, you deserve more love on this channel!!

Wow thanks for the tutorial! The song used on this tutorial is online? i loved it

Hey, I like very much your tutorials! Please help me with a trick! How can insert a delay effect to just one word in my vocal track in FL Studio! Thanks a lot!
Does the vocal have plug-ins on it when you send it? I'm a bit confused because if seems like you're doubling the vocal many time.
you should right click on the send nobes and select "route to this track only" instead. its way easier that way
Am I suppose to do that with other plugins like compressor, eq, chorus, etc
So do we not have to put the fruity send plugin to route it, it sucks cause it takes up my plugin inserts
No, you can route to other channels using the connections at the bottom of the mixer strip.
thank you for clearing things up........you are awesome
Thank you for this.. its so helpeful
do you use the reverb channels for everything including instruments or do you make a separate reverb for instruments?
I will sometimes setup a larger reverb that I send a lot of things to, but also create reverbs specifically for things like vocals.
@@ProductionDen Good to know, thanks!
I just started using FL and I am frustrated with how complicated a simple thing like reverb is. This is such a hard program to get into.
It can feel hard at first, but once you get the fundamentals down it gets much easier.

Fabulous! ❣
whats the difference between this and just doing it the bpm way like for example reverb calculator. i guess what im asking is which is most effective?
You can do both ways. Some people like to go by ear/feel. Some people like to use the math way to make it more predictable/practical. It depends on how you like to approach it.
so helpful bro...
u made me smile and laughs...;)
Is it right to add reverb on the main vocals r create special parts for it
Then reconnect it to the main vocal
For main vocals I usually make a send track to put reverb on.
For special effects I might create separate audio files and do certain things on just that track (vocal delay throws, etc.)
I can’t find the emt 250 on my presets. Only linear phase EQ Long and short

hey so question are you able to record while hearing the autotune or delay?
Yeah. IF you load up autotune in the channel you record and it is going to the main mixer track, then you should hear all the effects you have loaded. But I wouldn't record with delay, reverb, because you wouldn't be able to change anything after.

the delay is being routed to the reverbs
Is there a reason you don't use Fruity Reverb 2?
I do use it in other videos. I just wanted to show some of the other reverb options in FL Studio.
I don’t hear nothing on send reverb track
thanks bro
turn down the dry signal?
yep. I didn’t realize that I didn’t have it set to 100% wet when I was making the video.
