2006 Audi A4 or S4 Front Spring and Strut Replacement (B6/B7)

Today I am replacing the front struts on my 2006 Audi S4. This procedure should be the same for all 2002-2008 Audi A4s and S4s (B6 and B7 models).
Please use this as a guide only as I am not a professional mechanic.
I ran into a problem on my old A4 with a seized pinch bolt on the steering knuckle so I discovered this alternative way to remove the front suspension without having to remove the upper pinch bolt. It's a little trickier to maneuver the assembly out, but totally doable.

Scary stuff using only one side of the spring compressor 😬
...but I now totally understand why you went that route (doing the same job as we speak). It's almost impossible to get both on because of the size & shape of the strut mount.

Seriously though im trying to fix all the same stuff you have done in your videos and my mechanic is talking about redoing all my control arms . When i just did them with german set like 3 years ago

Why not just take the one bolt out for the upper control arm and let it swing out of the way?

In my case that bolt was completely seized. This is an alternative way so that you don't have to deal with that bolt.
