@@MatthewWatches Really? I haven't seen many school shootings in for example the Scandinavian countries, but a lot of that is happening in the US while the US is much less restrictive regarding firearms. Letting every knucklehead walk around with firearms is not the wise way to go, it's better to let the professionals handle law and order.

About 20% of the 160 school shootings since 1900 have occurred during the last four years. Data on school shooters provided by official reports refer only to former’ and current’ students. This approach could explain the findings of the U.S. Secret Service and the U.S. Department of Education (2004, p. 19) who concluded that the attackers “ranged in age from 11 to 21.” The findings of this study show that school shooters are, generally, white males between 11 and 55 years of age. Only 52% of the 163 school shooters were less than 21 years of age. About 72% of all perpetrators were less than 31 years of age (Figure 1). Great van! I love the kitchen set up and the security advise. I'll never understand though, how anybody could live in a van without a shower/bathroom. 🚿🚽🤔
Yes I watch a lot of these conversion vids, and love seeing a fine job done, but no matter how bonnie the result, not having a loo kind of ruins it all for me.
I love the pull out dinnerware drawer drawer when I saw him pulling it out I thought pantry because that's what everyone does! I like how everything looks so clutter free I think that people think because it's a small space it's free of clutter but some builds have so much stuff. The couch is an interesting touch too, usually the seating is across or it's a dinning area that turns into a bed, but I like how this is separate. I never knew this much security was need also I thought it would be more techie, I live in California and literately everyone is into getting security cam usually like the doorbell if not security all around their house. I like this it's a wonderful van build and almost as gorgeous as his voice. OMG!
Love this van. Love the dishwasher hack, the frig under bed, the galley kitchen which I've never seen in a van, love the lounge area, and the easy anti theft ideas. The lighting was cool too. Great job.
Nice layout - the corner sofa makes it so much more than just a bed in a van. Some great ideas, the dishwasher drawer, simple security bars and the wardrobe above the bed - great use of space.
So nice to see van conversion becoming more popular in UK...and it is worth it ...rather than be bogged down with morrgage...bills...etc., ansd keep your freedom. Good luck..someday wish I can have a van like yours..a dream. 👏👏👍👍
So nicely done. Double check your fuel tanks, under the stove and under the bed. One other van video explains the importance of boxing in their tanks with removable lids, and they are kept tight on with clamps. The box needs to be made of 3/4" plywood and properly vented straight out by using a hose going down and out of the box to the outside. I didn't know if they used a fan vent or not. A battery operated one might be safe. Check it out. Also install Co2 detectors in those spots and have two kinds of fire extinguishers. Good job on your design. Look into getting the Evershower, perhaps. It can tap into an on demand hot water heater. It csn also be set up for use without using the continuous heated plumbing job, evlither in or outside. Just use the drain hose. This way you can just prepare a few gallon plastic bottles with warm water to use inside your waterproof pop-up. The popup shower folds back down like a small suitcase.
The tiles were a nice touch, not only for heat-resistance, but also for aesthetics, as were the overlapping kitchen bench tops. The design of the kitchen overall was really well done, how it's split on both sides of the van. It offers so much more room to move, especially with the fridge tucked away under the bed. Security measures were smart and the recessed lighting was also well done, but I *really* appreciated the effort to hide wiring. Overall this is one of the best I've seen on UA-cam and it's inspiring me to make one myself. Well done. You should be rightly proud.
I absolutely love the layout of the van is. Lots of counter top, great stove, maybe a slightly larger sink(2 inches) the storage is great and your security system is awesome. First van build I’ve seen with security. Overall fantastic, but I would need a toilet. Showers you can always find in town or lakes, stream. The fridge works greAt too. Thanks for sharing.
The extra armor protection is quite heavy and unnecessary (it'd feel like driving a fully loaded pickup truck everywhere you go (also a hotbox)). Retired Ambulances are used for camper conversions and might feel similar. But at that point you might as well just get an older metal box truck for its simple design for renovations, versatility, and low costs. Simply put, It's more practical to upgrade the locking mechanisms and security in other vehicles.
I saw a "hardened" version of the van I eventually bought (GMC Savana cargo van) for sale online, which was bulletproofed by a company in Texas. I guess it was used to transport valuable cargo across the southwest. Anyway, it was already super heavy without any build out- which was a major downside. Also, I had to think about how often I planned on getting shot at, versus how often I would want to roll down the windows. The windows didn't roll down, they were an inch thick. Additionally the van was way over my budget, so....
This is one of the best lay outs I have ever seen ,,it's actually brilliant I can't see anything I don't like apart from the décor but the rest is incredible

This is the first van conversion I've seen, where security was addressed. You've covered all bases. I've seen one single, black female on UA-cam talk about her van home being vandalized. I'd like to recommend a combination lock fire safe or strongbox that is mounted inside the living space, but is concealed. You can store your cash, jewelry and other valuables in it.
Sometimes I feel like, in my (first) van, I shall sacrifice the stove area for a (study / PC) desk... I think I am willing to eat "raw" often in the van, also can use a camper stove outside and treat myself to a local restaurant for a warm dish at some intervals too... Or, also entertaining the version where we first design/build a study / PC desk area or corner and the desk incorporates the kitchen... in other words, the area looks more like a desk at first sight, but a sink and stove hide under hinged covers or similar...
Yeah, I did not have time to make it shorter, denser and attach drawings =P Thanks for starting though. I suppose one can get by in life, reading just one liners...
Some of these people who build their own conversions, do it much better than actual RV manufacturers. So many smart people out there hiding in the woodwork.

Candy Corn and the accent, I’m dying
One of the best ones I've seen. This guy's style is impeccable. Should be an interior designer. Efficient and beautiful layout😍💯.
Great layout, homie and practical with ideal use of space - liked the dishwasher drawer and extra security...and enough warms for sexy time ;-) :-D
no toilet or shower can be a real problem for sexy time. I'm sure you thought about that.
@@Tenebarum i guess that works if you have a solid relationship but for a guy who's meeting new people it's not the ideal way to start things off. and traveling a lot, you're bound to meet an amount of new people. "I live in a van" "Oh cool, I'll check it out" "Sooo wanna spend the night" "I think I'll pass" Not many girls wanna poop or pee in front of a guy on the first date or first 10 dates. Or hold their poop or pee in all night either.
@@Tenebarum for me, if you are a single guy and looking, you need to have the right things in place to increase your chances of success. If an existing couple is building a van, then that's a different story. the guy in the video seems single but I don't really know. The commenter seems more interested in striking conversation with the guy than anything else. How many random female commenters talk about "sexy time" on their unrequested public comments to a male?
I totally say that your boy is a genius with the locks I love the way the doors lock extra security for all of your time time well spent I love it
Great van! I love the kitchen set up and the security advise. I'll never understand though, how anybody could live in a van without a shower/bathroom. 🚿🚽🤔
He diffrent breed
Yes I watch a lot of these conversion vids, and love seeing a fine job done, but no matter how bonnie the result, not having a loo kind of ruins it all for me.
@@SeaCreature029 Exactly. Even if the shower is an outdoor one, what about the toilet??
@@SeaCreature029 It's not that bad. You can poop in a bucket and put it in an airtight container, and pee in a bottle. Lots of people do it.
@@dingfeldersmurfalot4560 A lot of people don't do it too. Also there is now shower even a handheld one.
OMG!
I love the double kitchen feel so comfortable to cook food and wash dishes thank you
Great Job!!!! the dishwasher drawer to hold your plates, brilliant! the Security, no one talks about that. Your van is ideal. Thank you.
Gorgeous man, beautiful van😉
C 3 And sexy time 😉
@@ianbryant6499 Yeah baby! Yeah!!
What van sorry?😂😂😂
Love this van. Love the dishwasher hack, the frig under bed, the galley kitchen which I've never seen in a van, love the lounge area, and the easy anti theft ideas. The lighting was cool too. Great job.
OMG that dishwasher draw is excellent!
Nice layout - the corner sofa makes it so much more than just a bed in a van. Some great ideas, the dishwasher drawer, simple security bars and the wardrobe above the bed - great use of space.
I have only three comments to make:
I love your accent😊
I love the floor plan
You are a genius
So nice to see van conversion becoming more popular in UK...and it is worth it ...rather than be bogged down with morrgage...bills...etc., ansd keep your freedom. Good luck..someday wish I can have a van like yours..a dream. 👏👏👍👍
i love this! it looks like an actual (small) house
Love it the security on another level
The tiles were a nice touch, not only for heat-resistance, but also for aesthetics, as were the overlapping kitchen bench tops. The design of the kitchen overall was really well done, how it's split on both sides of the van. It offers so much more room to move, especially with the fridge tucked away under the bed. Security measures were smart and the recessed lighting was also well done, but I *really* appreciated the effort to hide wiring. Overall this is one of the best I've seen on UA-cam and it's inspiring me to make one myself. Well done. You should be rightly proud.
Love the security measures you have done look brilliant x
I love the double kitchen area!!! The dishwasher drawer is the smartest way to store dishes that I’ve seen yet!!!
I like the bars on the windows and the chain on the side door. I'll be doing that!
Great van, and security too. I think the security you put into it is perfect.
Thanks for sharing.
Be well, stay safe and God bless
So the gas is only on when you use it🤔😂🤣.
Very nice build and it’s the first one I have seen with added security!
Sink and countertop on one side. PRACTICAL
and stove and countertop on the other. BRILLIANT
I’ve been binge watching these all day I’m officially addicted LOL and I could not live with out a bathroom 🚽
(Help me!)
I know the mileage would suck, but I wonder how secure an old armored car would be and how much room you would have.
Dishwasher drawer idea is brilliant! Really like your rig.
Dishwasher tray: Perfect!
This is one of the best lay outs I have ever seen ,,it's actually brilliant I can't see anything I don't like apart from the décor but the rest is incredible
Friends😳?...you look like brothers!😉
Thanks so much for the security portion. I wish more people talked about what they do for protection and safety.
Love your prices and little hints..Love your security ideas, just making it a little harder means they'll move on ;-)
At 5.42 did anyone else notice that the picture on the wall looks like the view outside the window? WoW.. How Outstanding.. Great Build.. Van Life Rocks.. Keep up the good work.. #Outstanding #LoveYourWork #Facts ☝🏿❤💯👑🤴🏿😉😲😷👍🏿👀..
Some great touches seems like a nice fella
Thankyou for showing me around your van New home I think have done very well I love where you keep your clean dishes and the put a lock and I think it was a chain around one of your wheels well done
Excellent build, very tidy
The dishwasher drawer idea is really good. The bars on the window was also pretty cool. And your van build is really nice and comfortable looking. Great job!
I love the setup of this van! ❤️
I bought a '65 aristocrat. I bought your book and learned in my own half by instinct half by homework way. Thank you for this video. I'm gonna buy those dimmers. I replaced rotten wood. Now I'm installing solar and cabinetry. I love working on my lo-liner. Thanks for inspiring. I am glad I did alot of homework before the buy. Vintage trailer over tiny home or van for me. Ps. I know I sound like a newbie
He has a really cool set up. He is home no matter where he goes.
YEP LOL ANYWAYS ARE YOU SAVED? HAVE YOU ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR AND RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE I COULDN'T IMAGINE HEAVEN WITHOUT YOU
@@pamelatyree3521 god and I have a understanding.....
Extremely neat. I think everyone who lives in a van or car should follow your security methods. I love it!
This is my favorite van!
That is definitely a nice looking build.
Who him or the van lol
And the van is nice, too!
Do you have a toilet? Shower? I just love that you important features, like security features! Thank you for that!
I was wondering the same
Sometimes I feel like, in my (first) van, I shall sacrifice the stove area for a (study / PC) desk...
TLDR
Yeah, I did not have time to make it shorter, denser and attach drawings =P
Thanks for starting though.
I suppose one can get by in life, reading just one liners...
Same, I game/work from home way more than I cook cook. A microwave will do just fine for me lol.
D24 Yet you could’ve read it in the time that it took you to go to the trouble of replying. 🙄
Some of these people who build their own conversions, do it much better than actual RV manufacturers. So many smart people out there hiding in the woodwork.
Needs a porta potty or composting toilet. and mini shower
Angela Ackerman gyms for shower, and yeah i think it should have a portapotty
@@beemo4 Are these gyms open on all the holidays?
@@GOLDVIOLINbowofdeath i am not too sure but i am from the netherlands and its open now and even then u could go to a beach with a shower (most of the beaches here dont have them but i know of some that do).
Using the dishwasher drawer was genius. I love the dual cooktops. Great
So I guess if someone was stealing the van they would break into the drivers area and drive away with you still locked up in the back.
I wondered about that. Apparently he has no access from the back to the driver's area, since he blocked it off with that wall.🤔
Add a battery kill switch in the kitchen....
@@neelonghunglow clever
Good luck jacking a modern vehicle with electronic transponder keys. Would still add a door in the bulkhead so I wouldnt need to go outside to drive though.
Chances are he has a remote killswitch in the living area as well, to stop the motor from firing up or staying on. It's in my build, most people don't talk about where it is since that defeats the purpose of having one.
That Van looks so nice and very tidy...congratulations for that kid...I like it....
He’s like your twin, but without the posh accent!
haha
I was trying to figure out what kind of accent this is.
I really like your van conversion. Thank you for sharing your layout and suggestions and tips. I really like your kitchen and your sitting area convertibility. However there should be a bathroom of some sort but it's your van so there's that.
Be nice to know what kind of van it is. Maybe I missed it.
Relay.
It was hard to catch but apparently it’s a Citroen Relay whatever that is
Dishwasher drawer brilliant gorgeous setup love the countertops yes makes the bedroom very private too
Gorgeous vans and gorgeous boys! ❤️
I love these security ideas. They don’t cost the earth like a lot on the market. Being a novice I would really like to know how you made the fixings for the bars across the window. Thanks for sharing them with us. It’s helped me a lot as I was going to spend a fortune on security when I get my van in a couple of months. 👍
What about a bathroom?
This may be the best conversion van I've ever seen and I've seen many great job
I had a window in my Laundry room to small for an Adult to get thru, They had taught there Little Kid to crawl thru windows and open the doors from the inside. Might want to have Three Cross bars on that window Just saying it happened to me. Great Van!!!
Even an adult head fits through. But like he said, it's mostly to make the thieves move on to an easier target.
I tend to be very paranoid even on my second floor apartment so one thing I always think of for my future can life is 100% security, always good to see tricks
The chain lock for the sliding door-once locked, how does one get out or exit? That wasn’t clear.
The chain is padlocked to the sliding door first while the chain has lots of slack , dude gets out same sliding door locks it gets in the front via front doors, pulls up the chain slack and padlocks that end to the chair base then gets out and locks the front doors , kinda cool
Thank you!
@@Jettguzman your welcome my Friend

-Well, yes, since it hasn´t been stolen yet...!
LOVE THIS - literally the first van conversion from someone in the UK that I have come across.
And you are climbers!!! AWESOME!

I thought he was your twin brother..😁😍
the steel pipes on window.... great idea...along with the door chain ! perfect
If must say it’s very hard to pay any attention to the van 😂
I agree😄😄
Yea i just was picturing myself laying in the bed look at the beautiful scenery lol
Liking the extra cabinet space, but at the expense of the shower and a toilet. Great idea about the dishwashing rack.
