eversince i watched this movie back then when i was on my 7th grade,i was amazed and never did i forgot every single scenes of the movie,i even imagine me being in the same exact places of their journey and this movie is where i get the message of the true value of friendship ❤️
The drive from Green Peter reservoir to Hwy 22 is incredible. It’s called the Quartzville BackCountry Byway. Probably snow blocking the road until spring though.
The founders of Brownsville have the same ancestors I do. Part of the town was built on land donated by my great great grandfather's brother (so I guess my great great great uncle.) Both were son's, obviously, of my great great great grandparents. The person after whom the town is named, Hugh Brown, was married to my great great great grandmother's sister. We did a road trip to Oregon a few years ago and got to read all about them in the towns amazing museum. The ladies there were fantastic and helped me find all kinds of documents, etc. related to these pioneers. I only wish we would have spent more time in the town itself. I did get a picture of my great great great uncle's statue which was pretty cool!
Every UA-cam video of this town is in the fall or some other crappy season. Does no one visit in beautiful summer? Imagine Stand by me being filmed in this season…
Wow, Oregon haters? 3 likes? This is a very very good video tour by Oregon Tropics (I love it and I just subscribed again from my second channel). But if you want a summer tour try the very short 2 minute, 360° Brownsville highlights at ua-cam.com/video/rNQhm6hWLQA/v-deo.html. There you will find five variations of the Summer Brownsville vid, including a slo-mo 60p. So no more complaints about Oregon. And thank you Oregon Tropics for all your relaxing PNW tours!
Living in CA for 25 years, makes me look at this very creepy and not uplifting town. I was aware of that, but needed to watch a video to get the full extent of it. Pass, couldn't live in a town like this. The weather is all. Overcast and rainy.

I know your comment is a year old, but I just stumbled on to this video, and I can't quite understand what you mean they ended up in the same place after 100 years??? BTW their ancestors were Scots-Irish for the most part.

Hilarious to me that the founders of this town have Irish ancestors. Went 9000 miles in 100 years just to end up in the same place 😂
