KYSE PERFUMES REVIEW | The Most Delicious Gourmand Fragrances? These Are So Yum!
Kyse Perfumes is one of my favorite discoveries on my recent trip to LA for the Art & Olfaction events and awards. I discovered these at LuckyScent Scent Bar at DTLA first and then over at the Hollywood location of Scent Bar as well. I hadn't heard about the brand before but I had heard of the perfumer Terri Bozzo. Either way though so many yummy gourmand perfumes in so many different styles. In the video, I discuss 6 Kyse Perfumes from the most recent release of Frangipane Al Pistacchio to the oldest but at the end of the video, I also discuss how the fragrances are ranked. With my favorite to my least favorite Kyse Perfumes. They are all delicious though so I hope you get your nose on these.

@@devourtheirsouls I do, and I understand that they probably have a very limited budget. But I’ve seen a lot of very small indie brands with great branding. A beginning- level graphic designer might actually have a relatively low fee to just design a label and a logo

Frangipane is also a pastry ingredient similar to almond paste but eggier, not just a flower, so that's probably why you're smelling the almond!

Have loved Oui Plus and Marshmallow by Kyse for awhile. She named the house by combining her sons’ names❤. Interesting that you found marshmallow to be softest… this one leaves an incredible cloud around you and stays on clothing really well. I get so many compliments on the marshmallow one and I never tire of it! it just brings a lot of joy and comfort. I need to smell the sweet caramel citrus one now! Thankful she is finding success! Fun to see these on your channel. Kind of makes me feel cool that I’ve had them for quite awhile … I’d say couple of years…that’s a first that I’ve beat you to the party😂❤!

Scent was the one I liked best
Kyse perfums need to macerate. A year ago I blind bought Coco alla vaniglia based on the good reviews and I was deeply disappointed because I can barely smell it. Few weeks ago I retested and OMG 😮 it’s a whole new fragrance. It’s stronger, sweeter, long lasting and all the good stuff I’ve read about became true. I also own Zucchero filato, a photorealistic cotton candy and Ficchi e panna, a clean fig scent.

Frangipane is a creamy almond filling used in desserts. That is what you were smelling (almonds) and why it is named as such.

I am so glad that you did this. I bought a bunch of the samples of these fragrances from Luckyscent a few months ago and forgot about them. I’m going to pull them out this week and try them.
You cover so much in one video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! You’ve discussed layering before, but I’ve been trying to break the code on layering opposites. Masculine and feminine for example. For one, I have Blanche Bete (beautiful) and it’s so creamy that it lacks a sophisticated edge for night. I layered it with Apollonia and it was nice, but not it. Can you suggest what to look for when aligning opposites? What are some of your favorite opposite combos?

Love it when you introduce us to a new house! I love indie houses and am often surprised by the quality of stuff that is out there. I think I would like Frangipane al Pistacchio and Oui Plus the most. I will have to hunt down some samples soon.
I am digging this brand and have acquired most of the line. They are really well-priced and pretty easy to love for those of us who can’t get enough of gourmands. I love the Pistacchio and in my opinion it’s better than most of the competition in the pistachio fragrance market. I also love zucchero. It’s rather reminiscent of Profumum Acqua E Zucchero. Nice review!
I’ll be checking some of these out next time I’m picking my Luckyscent samples. I love a good gourmand and these are reasonably priced. Thank you for the overview!

By far my favorite fragrance from Kyse is the pistachio one followed by her Vanilla Cedar one. I also own the Yuzu and Strawberry ones as well.
They have a great yuzu/peach scent, as well as a great milk/fig fragrance
I have Delizia Di Marshmallow and Peche Yuzu. Will have to try Oui Plus. Like Frangipani Al Pistachio.

Oui Plus and Cacao Noisette are my favorite from the house. Cacao Noisette smells like Nutella and Oui Plus smells like s’mores. Very cozy and comforting :) (also love that she sells 15ml and 30ml bottles on her website)
These sound and look exactly like another east bay indie house perfumery that was all the rage a few years ago - they are still around but recently changed label style, and I wonder if there is any connection? My skin absolutely did NOT get along with those, they were incredibly sythetic... As a gormande lover I'd like to try these! I will have to go sniff them! Thanks for the delicious review!

Frangipane is a type of dessert - it's like a tart with an almond meal base, that's why it smells nutty and there's no floral frangipani

I've purchased Oui Plus a few years ago, and I have to say that it's my favorite gourmand fragrance from Kyse. Not to mention it's one of my favorite gourmand scents. Great video as always, Sebastian! I'm so glad that you finally explored that olfactory house.

I always associate frangipani and almond, I'm probably bias because of the French patisserie filling called frangipane ( almond/butter/ sugar/eggs.)
I discovered this house last year when I happened to see an advertisement on lucky scent. I ordered a sample of Oih plus out of curiosity & was blown away. I haven't had the opportunity to try the rest from the house because Lucky scent always seems to be out of samples. Got my full bottle of Oih though!
They actually seem to sell out of bottles too so figures samples would sell out too!! :)
I ordered Frangipane al Pistacchio, which just came today! From a quick spritz it smells nice.
