Thank you for sharing the technique on how to bend 1/2 conduits! This is exactly what I was looking for.
Excellent, I'm glad it was helpful!
Will it wok on 3/4 EMT?
I haven’t tried it with 3/4, but it may be a bit more difficult to bend.
Very useful tip for bending pipe, Greg.
Thanks! I figured it might be handy to know that.
You might try turning the pipe around at 1/2 way and bending the other side might help with quality.
Yes, that would probably improve the symmetry of the finished hoops.
Love the pipe bending for hoops. Pipe more firm then pvc I use.
It is, it should last a long time and it’s about the same cost as PVC.
Thanks for this - great timing and you are so clear with your process!
You’re welcome, and thank you!
Might it not be better to make quarter circles then join with a T joint allowing a cross bar between hoops at the top ?
You could do that, too, for better stability.
Or just lash another pipe to the half circles as a “perlin”.
Good idea.👍
What diameter and thickness is this pipe?
It’s sold as 1/2 (half) inch electrical conduit, at least in the US. A metric equivalent might be 13mm
Thanks for the share...anyone ever ask you who was buried in your back yard? 😳😆
Haha not yet! They make great Halloween decorations. 😁
