- It's our most-requested tutorial ever! In this week's two minute terrain tutorial, Steve shows you how to assemble flashing gun smoke markers. We used these in our massive Trafalgar wargame, but they could be equally useful for all sorts of games.
As promised in the video, here are three links to the electronic parts Steve used:

Genius! I was curious on the build...I didn't think those traditional tea-cup lights were small enough for your scale of gaming. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you guys for this tutorial. Please keep up your wonderfull work
Brilliant! Thank guys!
Thank you. Was waiting for this one.
Those look great!
Thank you! And Sorry for pestering to do this tutorial😁
Great, simple and visual! True LWTV style
LOTS of people asked about this one! Happy to do it!
No wonder!
These are so cool. And I'll say, the only "Good" Scotch is Butter Scotch. )
Is Butterscotch the most controversial moment in LWTV? I think so.
All I know is that it had better be a single malt butterscotch!
ButterRum is better!🍺☃
Thank You!
BUTTER ... SCOTCH ... LOL GREAT THANKS GUYS KEEP THEM COMING ......BEST EVER SHOW...ON THE TUBE.....
Perhaps use red LED bulbs in black cotton for fire on board?
Thank you for the info. Can certaqinly use the idea in the games I play. KUDOS to your channel.
Simply great!
Is this cheaper than just getting them from Warlord, and whooo, the first little wars person with the correct appreciation of real scotch. :}
Scott Mellon It looks like one strip of Warlord lights (which has 6 flashing bulbs) costs $16. Each marker here (with three bulbs) cost under $2 to make, so yes, these are much cheaper.
How long a strong of these could you make? Could it be extended to cover the front of a 30cm long unit firing a volley?
Hi, how did you get the LEDs to flash sequentially? Were they flashing at different frequencies? I've used 1.5 Hz yellow LEDs, and they all flash together. Unfortunately, the link you gave for the LEDs is dead, so I can't see what you bought. Thanks
Thanks !
Hi, guys! The link to the self flashing LEDs is dead. Do you have more details on what you used so I can order the right thing? Thanks!
Butterscotch my man
Thank you, I've been waiting for this video.
Brilliant! 🍺🍺
Clever and very nicely done, have to try this, so atmospheric!!
This is incredible mate! I was just thinking about something similar to this! awesome video, have a great day!
Butterscotch. I admit that I did chuff out my nose ever so slightly.
Excellent. Thanks guys! Love your channel!
Great Tutorial!
Will you have Brandy(snaps) for the next one? 😊
My friends and I recently started playing Sails of Glory. These are perfect for adding immersion and improving the 'cool' factor. Thank you for posting!
awesome, cheers guys
Great guide, I'd dab on a bit of solder to make the joints permanent, but it's not a necessity.
Much better value than £10 for a strip for commercial offerings.
How many(long) strip of lights can those batteries support? Want to make something similar as an uncontrolled fire marker for AWI era games
Fantastic. Though I have sense that there is going to be a rush on LED purchases on Amazon...
Centimeter! What's a centimeter! Otherwise, how cool!
They were great and this video was great.
grate demo thank you
Fantastic, Thanks
Is there an on/off feature or do they run constantly?
The Coin battery holders have an on/off switch.
Love the butterscotch joke! I agree. Too much of your precious time is wasted on your scotch videos. We only get about 10-12 videos a season. They should ALL have to do with gaming. You guys don't know how important to us you are, in the UA-cam wargaming community.
Steve gets all the credit for that excellent gag. He is not a Scotch fan! But since only 4 of our 120+ videos are Scotch tastings, hopefully we are allocating our time appropriately!
@@LittleWarsTV I like the Scotch videos even though I much prefer Bourbon. I personally would love to see a Bourbon tasting, tastefully paired with a WW2 or WW1 naval battle.
Can you do a video on your ship models?
