A really good informative video Tudor. my problem is being a street photography i have my camera in auto mode most of the time as i need to be quick, but am going to start photographing architecture and scenery and than start using manual mode, love your backdrop of Guitars behind you🎸😊
And that’s an absolutely valid reason for shooting in auto. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that at all. When I’m shooting with that wee Sony Cybershot, I use auto or P mode to adjust the exposure compensation. It’s just quicker and I know the camera will give me a good shot - all I need to do is concentrate on the subject. Music - my other passion 🎸
Sensor and processor replace film, sensor reads the light the processor (Expeed is Nikon processor) then does the colour balance , ISO noise balance and a whole lot of other things. DGIC is the best colour sensor for some of my work, it's on the Canon DSLR and the Pentax prime II processor is my favorite for vintage color and sharpness I literally buy decade old DSLR cameras based on the processor not on the megapixels and I use the cameras for specific tasks. P mode is a complex bit of camera wizardry, on the Pentax it reads the lens for the best setting for the ISO, on the Canon it reads the Light for the best dynamic range, I use P mode a lot .
I generally opted for shutter priority (1/125sec) photographing dogs in action, back in the day. Slide film and E6 processing 😉 sometimes, not often pushing the ISO. Tudor, I'm looking to donate my kit to a camera club - free/giveaway 😉 was wondering if you know of a group or individual who might benefit from the kit which includes a lot of stuff. I've tried locally without much success. It's a thought that crossed my mind, forgive me for asking 🤔
I know I often opt for settings that work best for me and tend not to flit about the mode dial much too. Sorry John, I don’t know of any camera/photography groups 🤷🏻♂️

Ah yes. The processing power of the camera. I failed to touch on that, and it probably does make a difference when comparing different brands.

That's OK Tudor, I'll try in Medway, there's a few colleges up there that may be interested. Thanks anyway. 👍🏻
