i really love everything you showed!! i started crocheting my first sock yesterday, i want to one day learn how to knit too and knit socks that look like yours, they're beautiful!!!!
I am also using that same Michael's Loops and Threads acrylic yarn on a too dense gauge and am not a fan either. Thank goodness I'm almost done with the second sleeve of the sweater and then just have the collar because I'm ready to be done with it
1. vanilla socks ARE special and beautiful, like most socks in this world are not hand knit so you're giving the time and effort to do that??? super special and 2. the Morning Coffee socks by The Crazy Sock Lady are great, she also has some other fantastic looking textured sock patterns that I want to knit in the future 3. if you know someone who is a football person in your life then 40-Yard Dash by Knitty Natty looks super cute (it's in my queue but I haven't done it yet)
Knit the Hibernal Socks by Summer Lee because I want to but I am never going to get to it lol they are faux cables so they don’t count as cables. But really just knit whatever you want!!
Sveaborg is actually the Swedish word for a very famous place in Finland. Swedish is the second official language in Finland alongside Finnish, and the place - a group of fortified islands - was constructed back when Finland was part of the Swedish Empire, so Sveaborg was actually the original name. I don’t know why you would need to know that but my brain had to share. It’s a beautiful place! Ok I’m done.
"i feel guilty knitting vanilla socks out of hand dyed yarn" honestly if you like knitting and wearing vanilla socks I don't see the problem bestie. it's not like the knitting police are gonna come arrest you
I was very appropriately knitting on my hooligan seasons sweater while watching this!
