Thats the sad truth. Back when these came out you didnt have to look for anything, you just went to the store and bought what you wanted. If these came out today the entire east coast USA would never see a single one on the pegs
@@jimmysuperduty1484 exactly I own castings when they still had the License. I would walk into Walmart and found Ferrari castings like nothing. This was back in 2011-2013. Now I can’t find a single mainline I want.
They really need to come up with a way to sell directly to the collectors. It doesnt help that influencial youtubers like John here are outright denying that scalping is a problem. Maybe in the middle of nowhere Utah it isnt, but the entire eastern half of the country as well as city centers in the west its pretty much hopeless.
Not sure about it. Especially when May Cheong Group (Owners of Maisto & Bburago) has the exclusive right to produce Ferrari in 1/64. Even Tomica "borrowed" Ferrari license from MCG
Never man and honestly I don't want them too with all these scalpers and chases. MINI GT should get the Ferrari license. BBR is doing it but they are taking forever to make just couple castings.
That gold addition at the end of the video was amazing. They made some of these castings with the rims ferrari actually used. One of the benefits to the older cars is the metal bumpers. They can actually be raced by kids, and the paint jobs don't get all chipped up. When these were new..the price was on par. Still cost less than a dollar. I believe from memory that mainline at the time were $.54. I worked for 4 years at a local Walmart during high school. From 1991-1995. I continue collecting during the next 10 years. When muscle machines and other models started ramping up production. That era was the best.!!!
Nostalgia for sure. I was a twenty something in 2008 and not collecting then but these do bring back memories. I cant believe there are 77 models according to collecthw database. Id love to have a few of these but most of them are underwhelming and just not done well. No wonder Ferrari is gone.
I have one Hot Wheels Ferrari in my collection. A basic mainline release from around 2000, I think a 365 GTB. Got it at a flea market for a few bucks. It is from when mainlines were still all metal. Nothing fancy, just your typical red Ferrari. Still one of the favorites in my collection.
4:49 Hot Wheels actually did update the F40 casting. It was the yellow/black stripes version in the 2014 Ferrari 5-pack, the very last Ferrari 5-pack ever. The only catch is that the retooled F40 didn't have the opening engine cover anymore. And finding one ain't as easy as the original casting since the run for the retool was so short. But you still had the OG with the moving part in that 5-pack as well. So we ended up getting two different versions of that 2014 5-pack F40 anyway.
Hey John, thanks for sharing the white nosed 456 (also one of my favourites) is based on a promotional Ferrari 456 that drove through Asia and Sth America when released
I don’t think they have any personality. They are hideous. I have walked past so many of these back in the day. These castings are not worth the money they demand right now. People paying hundreds a of dollars for this makes me laugh! There’s so much good stuff that brands like Mini GT, Tarmac Works and Para64 put out. Too much greed has corrupted this once wonderful hobby. I hope scalpers who grab these thinking they’ll sell to desperate collectors get stuck with this crap.
I have a Ferrari Racers small rear wheel error somewhere. I can't remember if it's a 599 or F430. The card is not in great shape so it must have been cheap otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. I'm not sure what I should do with it other than maybe try to dig it out lol.
These Rarris are nice,I love Ferrari, and one day I stumbled across a Ferrari racers theme 512 M,carded, for 9 euros, couldn't be more happier(the red one on the min 12:29)
Excellent video i love to see people unique collection and unique story. Why they collect what they collect. For example some one that only collect fantasy's casting . Im not into fantasy's casting but i would love to see there collection learn something from it and the story behind it.
I'd open these too. No artwork on the card. I'd put the sticker behind the car on a displayer like yours. No reason to keep em sealed for a real collector
23:38 I have the exact same car but in a red and white paint job, very well painted and has the same wheels. Sadly my kid self decide it to throw it around and it’s damaged right now 😂😢
Yo muuero por tener aun que sea uuun solo Ferrari Racer o Ferrari Speed Machine pero quee vaa, están muuy caros actualmente y no me los puedo permitir 😢😢😔😔
I hope Mattel never get back the License. This community does not deserve this brand. Scalpers and resellers, buyers included have ruined the hobby.
I totally agreed with u

Just as you said that today's $1 cars are better. You opened a series of extremely detailed castings. Outside of the wheels, these are top-notch.
Do you think Ferrari will ever return to HW? Have you asked your Mattel guys?
Doubtful, they are too stuck up
Ferrari will never return to Hot Wheels EVER.

Some people have said 2025 it’s back. It would be weird for it to be missing from the f1 line and 164 license has been given to more brands
Ferarri should just give the liscence to Mattel for f1 stuff and stuff ferarri wants them to do. Control them like they control everything else
These used to be pegwarmers at TRU.
I believe they also were carried at KMart.
They looked underwhelming then and nothing had changed there.

Opening. $1000. Worth. Of. Hot. Wheels. Ferrari. Racers
Whats. With. The. Spaces. And. Periods. For real man, what the hell?

I could only imagine what kind of designs Mattel would come up if we had Ferrari for Car Culture

I have seen several obscure shots of the 1958 impala....whats the info on that ?

Testarossa Evolution kept short for convenience.
Testarossa: 1984-1991
512 TR: 1991-1994
F512 M: 1994-1996

Thank you for skyrocketing the price. Happened to have some and needed money
You should put the stickers behind the cars in the case, it’s a cool way the still have the art with each car
Can you just spill the beans already and say Ferrari so back 2025.
Even if he dose know something he wouldn’t risk the relationship he has with mattel.

The F40’s are my favorite truthfully, and it looks like the engine cover opens?
A sets of a bunch of Ferraris, can you imagine the Ferrari is returning to HW?
These came out during my turbulent young adult years so i totally missed them and wow what a shame that I did...these all go for big bucks now
Mr Lamo hating on the F-40 what a diecast snob
This is awesome Lamley, I'm enjoying this.
These cars are beautiful.

I have 2 333P's from 99, one is blue #33 with plastic tires and the same rims as yours and the #30 in red with MOMO with real riders on silver rims.
You should toughen up lol. It’s not that cold in your area. I recommend looking up Wim Hof.
😮😮😮 thanks John!
I still miss these in the Hot Wheels line up!
we want hot wheels ferraris back
“i dont go crazy” spends $1,000 lmao
No we don't 😂 they'll just end up botching them up with not enough licenses. Let mini gt handle it 😉
Please make this casting of Ferarri again,,
I'd open these too. No artwork on the card. I'd put the sticker behind the car on a displayer like yours. No reason to keep em sealed for a real collector
All my 355’s have full metal chassis
I think I like that one you showed at the very end but didn’t open!
Yowsa, 1k for these??? I like the first two 365 Daytona’s, otherwise I’d pass on these… IMO
23:38 I have the exact same car but in a red and white paint job, very well painted and has the same wheels. Sadly my kid self decide it to throw it around and it’s damaged right now 😂😢
Great opportunity to restore it!
Thanks for the great videos but we think you should throw your trash cards off to the side, out of the camera shot.
Thanks again

I could buy so many Mini GTs for 1000
Bbr iş factory piece of ferrari, hot wheels no factory was!!!
Magnifique 🤩🇨🇵👍
Nice❤️🗽🇹🇹
maybe they dont have the tech during that point of time .. most of it looks cartoony in proportions
Na it’s more that this area of hot wheels was more exaggerated with the proportions Unlike it is these days.
bruh 2008 its not the 80s or 70s is hotwheels that always like weird proportions
😮😮😮

Give the stickers away on whatnot
