The back is a no go
The guy is no doubt a talented barber but it just seemed this one got away from him from the very beginning. There is a lot of hair to be cut and blending still needed to make that haircut work and it is just being held together with product.

You can take a mohawk down to James Dean haircut, but you can’t go the other way.

not sure how this in any way was a mohawk but Carlos is one of those dudes that looks good with any cut.
Because he is beautiful as well as good hairline.
I don’t think this client wanted a mohawk. He specifically said not too short on the sides, not down to the skin. He looked like a difficult head to cut, sooo thick and coarse. And the pattern of his gray if cut wrong could be a botched disaster. I don’t believe the “old timers” would have done anything differently than this barber did. And in all fairness the client wasn’t much help: he knew what he didn’t want, but not necessarily what he did want.
With his thick hair he would have looked amazing with a Ragnar cut.
I’m completely lost.
What is that haircut ? 😂 I feel for any new beginner barbers trying to learn from this. No logical steps taken, just cutting random bits of hair and the finished product looks like an apprentice has done it. Used to love bearbrand when there were good barbers, get Cisco back he's the only one that knows what he's doing

I literally explain every step, but my process may not be yours. Like i replied to your comment in my last video, theres more than one way to skin a cat. If you put more focus into improving your craft than hating on other barbers you may be a bit happier in this industry. And yes, we agree about Cisco, we wish that dude would come work with us. He's too busy killin it out there. 🤙🏼💈
@@AznJes96 there's no methodical thinking, for something that's supposed to be educational, if you were an apprentice watching that you'd be like whats just happened. I'm happy in the industry bro, moving to Australia in a month and have a job, have some downtime so watching hair videos like I do daily to always be improving, just break it down in a way that makes sense and isn't just all over the place.
@@jon_tran135 if you actually watch the video I do explain a lot, but nowhere in this is it stated that this is meant to be a step by step tutorial for beginners. This isn't a masterclass on barbering. This is us having fun in the shop and sharing that we love what we do, and if you happen to learn from it that's cool too. If you need explicit tutorials Chris Bossio and Rum Barber make great walkthroughs. Just don't drive by and ruin the fun for everyone else.

For some reason the front top it needs to be cut lil more, you can tell the back and the front are not even, and the fenders are flying way too low.......... maybe one way to perform this cut, is by separate the top and back from the fender finish one side and do the same in the other side, idk.............💈🇲🇽💈🇲🇽💈🇲🇽💈

Honestly it's not at all a good cut ....especially at the back ....he shud hve kept it neat and tidy at the back so that it wud be easy to work on the sides. The sides and the back just don't blend in properly in the end result...very bad haircut.too much talk and less work!
