Wow that sounds awesome I appreciate your no BS attitude and straightforward facts is it possible to reflash my ECU with you guys it is currently flashed with a Woolich tune. I feel like if they were in a rush to get something out there and it could be better. I like those Dyno numbers!
I got a tune on my Transalp 750 and as it pulls away from stoplights in USER mode with traction (torque control>Honda calls it) turned off it easily lifts the front wheel without clutching it up and sometimes when not wanting it too, yeah it's addicting! Can't wait to see more of your tunes and other mods on this bike and I'm glad subscribed!
Fantastic work really great to see the effort that your going to. Confirmation that user modes are not power modes, they just act like different throttle cams, quick action or slow action, WOT is unaffected. What would be the cherry on the cake is a gravel mode that turns TC completely off and you wouldn't have to do all the scrolling and such to turn tc off, it would be a proper gravel mode. Can this be done? Even if it was an option at time of ordering.
I ride an '06 crf450x, and last month I was riding single track with a motocross rider on a stock Tenere. He was flogging the bike mercilessly. I'll say that I was very impressed with how fast he could push it through the single track, but he now has flat spots on the front rim, and said the suspension was bottoming everywhere, and sorely needed to be upgraded. So the Tenere is not good single track bike from the factory, and treating it as such is likely to cost you a bunch in replacement parts.
It's great to see ECU / Fueling upgrades in the States! I got ahead of myself and jumped on the DynoJet, so I spent my budget. I will recover in 6 months and be looking at your tune next with headers. Is there any chance you can do a comparison between your tune and the DynoJet? I need to watch the Dynojet video you have produced for more education :)
A dealership has to PROVE that a flash has become the cause of any warranty related claim, or that claim is baseless. The likelihood an ECU flash that makes the bike run 10x better than factory is going to hurt something, is like 1/100,000,000,000,000 chance.
@@ZCarshow Depends on the policy of the tuner. I'm sure flashing back to OEM is easy, but whether that's at cost, I'm not sure. Also it can be found in some ECU that there's been a write frequency.
I might have to put this bike back on the menu! If only it had cruise control.... Yes, I know I can pay over 1k for an aftermarket, but why can't it be standard?
Proper comparison with the Transalp would be the V-Strom 800DE...... not the Yamaha Tenere T7. Cycle World guys built a custom 800DE Baja racer and it performed VERY well. The only person on earth using the T7 to the max, would be Pol Tarrés.
@@riding4fun40 The weight isn't a problem. Engine heat (and vibration) is a product of lean factory conditions, and those go away with tuning. Motorcycle weight isn't a problem but usually people immediately associate it as being problematic, because weight MANAGEMENT on a lot of motorcycles sucks. If you manage weight properly (CG location, engine torque tuning, suspension, fore-aft balance) it's no longer an detriment. In fact, weight can be a benefit depending on what you're doing. Check out what Austin Teyler has done with the 800DE.
Very interesting video guys. Would be interested to know if you have encountered the new updated 2024 Honda Africa Twin 1100, which has shockingly poor fuel mapping? I can imagine that will be a very popular remapped bike, over the coming months and years, as owners wish to improve the ride ability of the bike.
I've heard the Transalp also has a better center of gravity feeling where it's not top heavy like a Tenere700, the power numbers are surprising. Hopefully Honda will do more with this motor as we haven't even seen the Hornet here yet and more.
I appreciate what you're doing. I hope it's not destroyed by some power hungry misfit who deems you're destroying the planet. Zeal without knowledge... Anyway, I may well spring for that after I get my Transalp and past the first service. I'll have to see how it works, whether it's resettable to stock, handle changes in configuration as they arise, etc. But can you address the most annoying issue which is all the hassle to turn off TC and ABS every time the power is cycled? 🤔
Has anyone found a way to make the traction control stay off in “user mode” between ignition key cycles? I would pay a little extra for that. Definitely getting this tune when it’s ready.

Great video!
Thank you for the update! I’m excited!
Thanks for the update.
Top job
Basically, get a slip-on and leave the stock system in place for better drivability.
Cant wait for yall to perfect the transalp tune! Glad yall are giving the SW team the time they need to make it perfect!
Any testing with a free flowing air filter like a K&N/DNA?

Excited to order, but also patient enough to wait and make sure y’all nail it. Y’all doing amazing work, no need to rush it
Will there be a similar remap option for us EU Transalp owners?
Im so fucking excited to bring my TA to life. Thanks to your team for all of the hard work!
I'm curious to see what you can do with the Tuareg 660
How can i get your flash if im from overseas?
Take my money!
Wow, stoked about getting my TA ECU flashed once available. Great work guys!
Airbox mods???

Fantastic work! Now if only someone could rework the Traction Control settings!

I imagine you could, but I figured I'd ask. Can you still run aftermarket cruise controls with this flash?
cant wait for this! is there any way to add cruise control with the programming?
Will any of the modes have traction control off? Or will user mode have a tune?

This exact comparison is coming VERY soon for this platform.
How is the mail in for the Africa Twin coming.
Africa Twin 1000 horsepower
Can I assume this would void the warranty?

Hi. Do you provide the ECU service for UK customers?
Can you do the vstrom 800 after the transalp... Need to see which has a higher ceiling when it comes to engine performance.
Cruise control going to be an option?
Is a Harley Pan America, tunable? I could use some more juice
Looks great! Any chance you will develop Indian FTR maps?
I can’t wait to get my full system and flash I just haven’t decided which exhaust to go with. I’ve heard SC Project has pretty good gains

Check out the cost of all the factory kits for the T7, I'm guessing Pol is using them all
Yes more proper comparison - I like the 800DE but it is 50lbs plus and produces more engine heat.

Awesome dude. put me down for an ECU if you can ship it to Australia.
Im with you there ! Not keen on sending my ecu to the usa. Australia Post probably lose it .

Will you be doing v-stom?
Or crf300l
550 performance have figured out tuning for the 300L, $149 if you send your ECU in for upgrade.
Could you do this whole make over to a 2019 KTM 1290 SAS .?
Can you make the TC and ABS stay off when swapping into gravel or custom mode?
That full system sounds horrible!

The T7 made 86 hp what?
But the tires have tubes...why? 😢
😭😢😢😢 well..... because it's less expensive. And because you can convert them if you want, like all the supermoto guys.
I rode the entire US coast to coast on tubed tires... what's the problem?
cool, but come on... ditching the cat is bad form though that system looks nice.
Great information, but your talking way to fast please slow down a little.
😂 yeah... Smell those roses... Time is unlimited... Dead air time is fine. 😂
The beauty is I didn't need to set it at 1.5x
I've been thinking pretty hard about a transalp. You're not making it any easier 😅
These pararrel twins make what a well tuned CBR 600F2 made in 1992. They are pretty pathetic powerwise.
