If my husband EVER suggested I go somewhere without electricity and plumbing, I'd reconsider our marriage cuz he clearly doesnt know me at all
I mean….😂😂😂😂
Naw frfr cause sir who even are you 😂
Or cancel the marriage completely
HAHAHA, right!!
Nor you him
Who decides to go along with the idea of camping on a small isolated island for a honeymoon knowing you have a fear of water and cannot swim.? And you don't even tell your "husband" that you married you have a phobia for water throughout the time you dated?
He knew that. She told him either her sister or friend drowned or she almost drowned
lol so what does the husband gets the right to abuse???
They didn't knew each other for too long and decided to marry.
It's the perfect dynamic for a hero complex... But like fr .. it was like poetry watching him like in the bear trap still trying to yank the chain with the gun box from her-because it's like when you look at him he's so beautiful he's so handsome he's so buff but it's like all this is turning into .... It's like what was supposed to be your protector and your rock- is now a threat. It's like oh my God I'm definitely not strong enough to take this dude .... He was supposed to be using this strength against someone else for my protection... Very ironic
@@abceedee4488He knew her but she didn’t know him. He was stalking her way before he approached her.
It's definitely a red flag when a guy takes you to a deserted island without any communication satellite.
And this is why psychopaths can't have nice things!! The irony is that he'd already 'won' the girl. If he kept acting kind and loving to her, she would continue to love him. Bad sadly, that's not how crazy people's minds work. They want to POSESS what they 'love'. They want to own and control the other person.
Exactly
They are insecure grown up babies.
Don't marry someone that you weren't comfortable enough to tell your phobias. And there are no apologies sincere enough to override "You're my wife. You must obey me." 😂😂
Ikr did she even know the guy before she married him ??
Basically if a guy does that, you should be running away as fast as possible.
Why is there no responsibility for the guy?
@@Confessions089because they’re ducks and are misogynists who think men can do no wrong. Dude was stalking her, chained her up smacked her around etc and the only thing they seem to focused on was her not mentioning her phobias this redirecting blame back onto the women
“Oh you didn’t tell your husband you can’t swim while I guess it’s warranted he slaps you around”
@@BootyWarrior80892Be realistic about something for once in your sorry ass life
Isn't this weird, i mean you guys just got married why tf would you think of spending y'all honeymoon in a secluded island surrounded by large bodies of water with no cell signal or life around??? 😂
Wasnt her intention..
for me why would you marry a men who dont even know yr phobia and inability to swim? Means you both have alot more to go through before marriage
But that would not make the movie cross 10 mins to completion
That a pleasant honeymoon 😌
This would be the perfect honeymoon for my husband. It just depends on the person. He doesn't like to be around lots of people or mainstream places
White ppl
Please let my partner be a good person 😢 these men are crazy!
You forgot a few letters off of women 😂 people are crazy. Don’t generalize. Makes you look DUMB
Women are attracted to killers
All men are not the same, if he does not love you, no matter how Rich, he aint gonna give u anything, but the one who really loves you, shall give up his life and everything ❤
@@ab.lee16 did I say women can't be abusive? Is the woman the abusive one in this situation? Go to therapy before getting on here mad at yourself.
Women are worse😢
I watched this years ago and learned to never always trust someone to go somewhere isolated... 😭
These two obviously must've dated for 3 months then concluded that it was time to get married because if you've been dating a person long enough, they would've most likely already known about your phobia. I ain't even married or dating anyone myself and everyone i know knows i have a phobia of something because its important for others to know and it sets boundaries. Thats one red flag😭💀
How long did she know this guy before marrying him???? Red flags must have shown up 😢
Yep exactly
Nah, psychos can hide intentions very well until they have you "trapped" in marriage.
Most people ignore red flags
@seren4740 they can't hide it for years. You get to know someone when you live together. Marriage is just a piece of paper. Before getting married I'd first live with someone for at least 3 years. People show their true selves when you live together. It is impossible to hide it for years. And I don't need to get married anyways. It is difficult if you live somewhere where getting married is essential before moving in together. Then you just have to hope for the best.
Abusers are really good at putting up a mask until they have you trapped and isolated.
We never see him killing himself, we only hear the gun. It would have been interesting if there was a part 2 where she goes back to her norrmal life and he returns to go after her while everyone believes he is dead.
Interesting sequel ideas
Your right 👍👍👍👍👍
Yes there should have been a part 2.
That was probably the plan for part 2, always leave your movie with something slightly open ended in case it makes enough money right?
First rule of marriage, never, ever marry a psychopath.
Easier said than done for many ppl - just look at all the unlucky ones who have movies and cable crime shows made about their sad demise. It's kinda staggering actually.
What if they are both the phychopath?
@@TahjaiBassum Codependency can also lead to psycho narcissistic relationships but they are selected by the psycho; victims of others psychosis are NOT in the same boat as psychotic murderers. Shalom
@@YAHsBurntButterfly Thank you. I was having trouble falling asleep until I read your comment.
You can't even know who really u are marrying.. U are lucky if he is a good person
Lots of women say their husbands change immediately on honeymoon! One lady said her whooped her ass the next day 😞
Did she divorce him
Jesus Christ, that's awful! I would definitely recommend living together prior to the wedding in any case
Same happened to my mom after married she was slapped about that week that turned in to beatings that almost killed her 2 times did the same to us till we got big enough to fight back
I managed a domestic violence safe house. A lot escape but return due to lack of finances and inability to be alone
@@theempresss that's awful I pray you somehow get the help you so well deserve
How do you not discuss things like not being able to swim 🤔
exactly
Idk women tend to leave lots of things out
It seemed like she was trying to hide it from him
@@Nixonforprez68 ooh you definitely got NO BITCHES bruh
@@Nixonforprez68 excuse me. Men do that
If you're a parent. Always treat your kids with kindness. Even when they did wrongful acts you can still teach them not to do those again with kindness. Stop mistreat your kids. Treat them equally, it doesn't matter if you had a boy or girl. There your blood.
Do you have any kids?
@@tiffanykim2773 Do you have any kids?
Childless huh?
should have spent more time engaged and understand her fiancée before taking the plunge into married life. cudding , romance is all fine, real character shows in a tough situation.
No body told this guy that there are women who would happily agree to live in isolation with him raising children. Why force an unwilling city girl to live in woods rasing children?😂
That's what I was thinking 😂
Dear Mitch, It's quite normal .... I arranged our honeymoon at a very well known hill station, in a very well known resort.
Still my wife insisted on calling her mother the moment she woke up from her slumber. This kept going on for 7 days straight.
Oof
It was a nightmare marriage from day 1. Don't even need the psycho plot. I would start drinking pronto!
If she starting talking about having kids, and talking about a nursery, and clothes, the feedings, formula, health insurance and having a house and a safe vehicle meaning the truck he has has to go, I think he’d re-think having a child.
It's Gangsters Paradise for me in the end🤣
Totally forgot, Tara Reid did other stuff than American Pie
2 weeks there is dead, a weekend for sure but 2 weeks is crazy
No it is okay.
There is a lot of time to get to know your partner best.
Maybe I listen to too many true crime podcasts but I would nope out just driving towards the woods 😂😂😂
If she so scared of water how would she swim if you scared to swim all of a sudden she just learned!!
I have a friend who wasn't taught how to swim growing up but she was once forced to paddle across a body of water. When you're desperate to survive, sometimes you figure out a way.
Despertion. And swimming is something innate to humans
Be single 😂
She can go back to the other guy.
@@spaceballs44 Or she and that other guy can both remain single and have a sex life with each other anyway.
My apologies film recaps I was so busy I couldn't watch your recaps on time due to the pressure from work. But I feel relieved after watching your latest update. I love you
this is SO ME.. ily too stranger

This movie made me request a family honeymoon with my new husband. We invited our immediate families to join us.
Don’t be lame
better divorce him if you don't even trust him to not kill you
😂
😂😂😂 good one
In the honeymoon you are supposed to enjoy yourself with your husband. Immediate family members will ruin the fun of the New relationship.
To be very frank. People do seek isolation from city life but never at the cost of cellular network. To avoid calls, every mobile phone has do not disturb mode(aka Airplane mode) 😅😅
Someone needs to tell her that phone batteries are rechargeable....
Yes, I’m sure she’ll find a plug for her charger somewhere in the forest 😂
This is true in real life. Parents are rudely smack their kids and verbally abuse them for little reasons. Unknowingly creating violence in kids mind. But when they grow up there becoming what parents did to them. Abuse, violence against others. These are not there fault. It's their parents who raised kids with rage, violence
bro you have multiple comments about parents abusing their children, which has absolutely nothing to do with this movie so idk what you're on about but you might need a therapist
Not exactly, while environmental stimilus and external influence may contribute to it later in life.. people usually already have a propensity towards it.. but we all have a choice in the end. There are many people like myself who are abused by their parents or even abandoned and yet grow up to help others like them ect.. just like not all mentally ill people go crazy and kill poeple, dont generalise and make broad statements about something you dont know enough about.
And while it could be a reason, its never an excuse. NEVER. Yes i do blame the person/criminal for chosing to commit evil. They chose it, they own it.
@@nGUNNARpI was thinking the same thing
What does this have to do with the movie?
In an old beat up truck...hmm
He was controlling before. He knew she hated large bodies of water. She was too quick to marry.
Has a gun and demands him to fix the vehicle...what? Eliminate him and take a rest.
I have been with my husband for almost 18 years, so I am pretty sure I am safe if my husband took me to a secluded cabin on an island. And if he did, I would be in absolute heaven. That would be a dream come true for me. 😂
After as many as 18 years, I would think you would be absolutely certain if you know you could trust each other. If you or him were still uncertain after that long, then that would be weird.
Flash back I used to have the exact same flip phone. 😅👍
My abusive ex husband use to tell me that i pormised to love, honor and obey him, so I must do what he says and obey.
You are the best!!
Nice one👍
Gr8 recapped!
so good recaps
Be careful who you marry might just turn out to be a psycho
Thank you
It is ok to go to a secluded place without cell towes. I.e. many nature trails. But both of u must know all the dangers n be prepared. Better have the required skills n pack heat n all the emergency stuff.
Without that kind of open communication n trust its not worth it.
I wonder if he deliberately chose a wife that couldn't swim. Would he have married her if she was captain of her swim team in high school?
Doubt it because he knows she can get away😂
I grew up watching this with my mom I loved it! ❤️😭

Hi @FilmRecapsHere ! What is the tune you are using in the intro of your video? I like it.
It's always a good idea to marry a stranger who you've never shared anything meaningful with 😅
Kmt who in their right mind agree to go on a honeymoon on an island and can't swim with no light and phone service
This recap was perfect for refreshing my memory before watching the new
This is one of my favorite suspenseful movies!
His father could not be the possible reason to be abusive towards his wife. 🤷♀️
He is a grown ass man. I was raped does that mean I should rape someone else? Tf
Never an excuse. He needs to get help if thats the case, but he chose to do what he did.
@@rachaelm3298 Exactly
It may had an influence, but people always make their own choices.
Why dont they make an opposite movie?
The fact that you wish people a great day that's so amazing and thanks for the birthday wishe🎉
2 classic dumb character mistskes:
1) Throw the cell phone away.
2) Running away from unconscious villain without further continuing to kill or incapacitate.
Julia has every right to protect herself from harm
I bet if Mitch had married one of the Kardashian sisters it'd be the other way around.
He would be lucky to get out alive.
nice one 👌
It's actually crazy to me that Tara Reid used to look this good.
8:35 How did he got dry to the other side without a boat?
I remember this movie. He’s psychotic.
Such a shame. Tara Reid was such a beatiful person. Her gaze was perfect, and then Hollywood came calling.
Couldve just sold the ring
Definitely!!!
Imagine explaining this to your family 😮
Yes, I would be disappointed with such an incompetent daughter.
Pretty good movie. Hollywood wishes they can still write an independent strong female character
Well that's modern cinema for ya
Oh my Gosh my mom and I have been looking for this movie! Even thought we were experiencing The Mandela effect.
She had a chance to escape but she choose to face him so he will not chasing her on the future that a great way to escape even risky
This movie showed me this when I was a child and the she wonders why I like stuff like this. Also made self aware so thanks mom 😂
Nice
I loved this movie when I saw it so many years ago 🎉
Title please
I saw this movie a long time ago, but I had totally forgotten about it. Mitch was a f-kin psycho and just wanted to live on the boring island forever.
Who immediately noticed the other pictures that were already in the house when they got there
What is the intro music?
"Does anyone really ever know anyone?" - Margaret Booth from the final episode of American Horror Story: 1984
This movie must have been a classic example of that.
That’s a great reference!
Adding gangster paradise song with her lighting cigrette at the same time was superb 😂😂
It's a good movie
What’s the intro song?
Why did she turn into Eileen Wournos at the end😂😂😂
I saw this in 2005 while in the hospital
No phone service on my phone. I panicked before and would need it for lights and calling for help or family and friends to contact. Its nice to have games while waiting, but no service does scare me.
Anything with Meredith Baxter is gonna be good.
It was a cameo.
Opening background music name?
I remember this movie
Wow...great movie about my ex husband😣
I’m glad you got away.
@spaceballs44 Thank you so much. I'm happy I'm free now
You were and are to good for him. I hope youu find someone that treats you how you deserve. Or just be happy being single and enjoying independence 😊
Hahaha just watched this movie yesterday and thought some recap channels gonna recap this movie for sure lol
i remember seeing this it was really nerve wrecking
Omg its tripping me out cause i swear this movie came on my grannies favorite channel years and years ago. I can't remember the channel name but thrillers played around the clock. Im so upset cause i know it,but its locked. Kathy baits movies play all day on that channel too
LIFETIME!!!!
Even on campaigning I won't go to a place of not electricity.
Did you really have to play "Gangster's paradise" at the ending 😂
I'm black, so if my husband EVER brings me to a place with no running water or electricity or a landline, ESPECIALLY for our honeymoon. I'm leaving him
Respectfully, what does being black have to do with it?
I’m not Black and would still gtfo cause this is just creepy AF and has nothing to do with race and everything with safety
@@kelsey2333I was wondering the same thing
Good
Best thing about this movie was the ending
Never poison your body with pills just for the pleasure of a man.
I saw this movie years ago. It's actually worth a watch because the acting is good and it is suspenseful because of the creepy factor to it regarding the husband. Both actors played their part well; looks like it would have been an easy film location and it played well for what the movie was; which is a nice subtle thriller.
He shot the chain holding the gun not himself....
It’s like they skipped the getting to know each other part and went straight to getting hitch.
Name of the movie pls.
Idk why but i dont really care for her as an actress she just isnt good at it hence why my crazy mind actually wanted the husband to win 😂😂 i honestly hate movies like this that always have a happy ending for the protagonist because lets be honest in reality he almost certainly would've won
I seen This movie I love it
Clearly Sunshine did not listen well to Coach Boone
I bet he knew julian don't know how to swim
That’s a creepy love story😢
