Hey guys, the video was really helpful as I'm doing my exchange to korea during the fall semester. Just wanted to ask Hao Yee if you recommend taking computer science subjects there?
Hello! Sorry for the late reply, missed your comment over here, if you need faster replies feel free to contact us via Instagram! As for your question: I wouldn't recommend if your aim is to enjoy the culture and language here! Getting a credit transfer seems to be highly unlikely so that's out of the picture, so I would recommend you focus your time on the two Korean language classes they provide, plus maybe one or two additional classes that you have interest in (we took astronomy & religion)!
Hi!! I’ve been trying to understand the application process for Sejong uni. I’m trying to apply through the second round of application starting on the 31st but the application process is just hard for me to understand. The page keeps redirecting back and forth to the same page😭 help
Im planning on going to Korea for my exchange too! but i have 0 knowledge in Korean Language, i dont see the point of attending korean language courses here before going there bcos i only gonna be there for 4 months. is it possible to survive with you english skills only?
Hello! Thanks for your comment, let me try to help 😊 Yes, it's definitely possible to survive, with a little bit of help from the Google Translate app with its Camera feature. You can point it at any food menu or any written instructions and it will be translated for you. On the other hand, we're one month in this exchange program and Korean is a relatively easy language to pick up, so you'll be alright!
so does that means you guys will not get any credits recorded for 1 sem ? did u have to extend ur sem in um? bcs i am actually interested in joining this program but after doing calculations i wont get enough creds if i join this program
- Yes we won't have any credits recorded for this semester, unless we do credit transfer. Credit transfer is when you study at another university and move the study/results into your UM's academic report. But this is a complicated process that we can't advice much on, so do reach out to ISC for help on this! - Yes we have withdrawn from this semester, and will have to replace it with another extended semester at the end of our program
@@fadhlinsakina5999 You'll still be able to join your convocation, what's different is if you extend until after your convocation, you will have to join the next one.
Hi I have a question Can I study in Malaysia all 3.5 years to get my bachelor’s degree in business administration like study their full time? I am 18 years old currently in my gap year from the USA. Thank you very much if you get to my question
Hello! Of course you can 😊 we're not sure how the application process is but I'm sure you are able to apply in a government/private university via the international office :)
Thumbs up 👍 May I know how to apply for scholarships? Is it easy to get? And how Amelia got company scholarships? Is that a scholarships with bond or a sponsorship?
Hello! The scholarship is given by POSCO, a financial sponsorship without bond. Two ways to apply: 1. They choose you through faculty. Don't need to do anything, faculty will choose representative. (Amelia managed to get this) 2. This is what I heard, not sure true or not but might be able to apply ourselves. Google POSCO and visit their website, if got application form can try to apply.
hi there! well there’s nothing solid proving that but you might have to take a language test beforehand if you want to study full time there. for us as exchange students, it was okay to enter without taking a language test :) so we’d say there won’t be much problem!
Hi I also takung CS soon in UM, usually seniors said to take extra subject during sem 1 & 2 so after that you can fly for one semester without worrying for credit transfer. I still did not know if I can cope with more than 6 subjects in one semester even if they are offered. Scared can't juggle up all T_T . Btw how many credit hours did u need minimum before flying and what semester can fly? Can fly at semester 3? I will be taking SE .
Hello! Don't worry about taking extra subjects during the first two semester. Learn the basics (very important!), you'll need time for mastering coding so the next few semesters will be easier. FSKTM will suggest flying during Semester 5, which is the most optimum time to do it. Follow it hahaha don't rush things. You can take extra credits during Semester 3 and 4 if you can cope, if not, don't worry because you can always add on after the exchange too. Any more FSKTM-related questions you may message me on Instagram @haoyee_! I'll reply faster there. Thanks!
Hello! So far we've spent around RM18k per person, and that's not including quarantine fees when we head back to Malaysia yet. We do head out a lot, travel around and visited 6 cities, so it's on the middle-higher end of the budget. If you are calculating UM's additional RM3.3k~RM4k into it, making the total RM15k, then it should be enough... provided that you save up on food by cooking almost everyday/eating in the uni cafe.
Our 18k per person is for the past 5.5 months. You only need to be here for 4.5 months minimum to complete your studies, so RM15k should be sufficient.
Hello! We mostly did it through a friend that has been working in Korea. You can also check out BigPay, you can use this to pay for almost anything in Korea! I've also used it to withdraw money in a Korean ATM. Use my code VU9BB2T4HZ to sign up for BigPay and get RM20 when you activate your card ;)

hiii, it’s a scholarship offered by a company in Korea called POSCO, but it was through the university that we got selected for this offer 😁
