They don't realize that his extra chromosome makes him better than most people on this planet. The "UpSyndrome" is the perfect way to describe him. AMAZING family! I feel like you guys are my family since I have a 12 year old son with Down syndrome. Lots of credit goes to the parents since raising a child with Down syndrome is beyond difficult, challenging and takes lots of sacrifices. After I found out that my son had Down syndrome which was after his birth I list faith to God but I had a major car accident due to stress then I got back my faith to God. Love you all, wish I could meet you all in person. ❤️😘😘🥰
I love Tripp and his entire family ❤️! None of you treat him as if he is a burden or something to mourn but his disability is something that you praise God for. He is who he is and who are we to question God’s decisions? Tripp is a beautiful and intelligent boy; he will show the medical profession that people with an extra 21 chromosome are super capable 🥰

Tripp is able to ride a tricycle, walk, talk, gesture, and feed a doll before age two, so he is catching up developmentally with normal children his own age.

When you’re son mentioned DS eyes I laughed…me and my brother who has DS always joke around, he calls me fathead and I say he has Chinese eyes 😂. My aunt had down/up syndrome. She lived with us for 15 years and was my baby and best friend. She passed away when she was 62. When she first came to live with us after my grandma passed away, she tested mentally/verbally at an 18 month old level (she didn't start speaking until she was 17). They told us just to love her but not to expect any progress. By the time she passed she was speaking in full sentences and was about 3 years old mentally. Like your cute son said, they can do the same things, it just takes them longer. She was 21 years old when I was born, so I never saw her as a baby or toddler. There are so many things about Tripp that remind me of her, and what she must have been like. So thank you for all you share with all of us. It makes me want to scoop him up and give him some love.
I do think that, as an adult, he will be able to have a job as a ranch hand or farm hand or gardener's assistant, but it was exaggerating to say "he can do anything we can do, but slower." That's unrealistic. He's never going to be able to have the type of career that requires genius-level intellect. Developing his mind to the level of a little below average intellect is probably the most that can be achieved. To set his brothers' expectations for his future too high would lead to eventual disappointment.

Stephen Hawking's talent was intellectuality, so he followed that though he had severe physical disabilities. Someone who has a healthy body but reduced intellect should do the opposite of Stephen Hawking, such as ranching or farming.
