- I visited a indegenous tribe on the outskirts of Tayrona national park in Colombia, they showed me a cleansing ritual and then gave me fresh coca leaves to try, it was an eye opening experience as I got to see how modest their lives are. Indigenous peoples of Colombia, are the ethnic groups who have been in Colombia prior to the Europeans in the early 16th century. Known as pueblos indígenas in Spanish, they comprise 4.4% of the country's population and belong to 87 different tribes.

Thank you so much for sharing who your guide was. I am going to be around and in Tayrona in August and I was bummed because you can no longer walk to the indigenous ruins inside the park (I was born in Bogota and my ancestors are indigenous Colombian tribal people) because I really wanted to connect with the community. So, thanks to this I am going to see if there is a way for me to do something like what you did and visit with the tribe.

Very interesting video and a beautiful location. Loved the beauty of the jungle and learning about indigenous people. The wama fruit looked looked so unique as well. So you know if the indigenous people make their own clothes as well? They were all wearing white clothing which seemed unique to their group as well. Thank you for another special video!

Is it only family in wood? Man did some deja vu kind of thing, love coca fruits I HV tasted in Malaysian jungles chocolates are made with this fruit. Lots of productive trees wow👍
