I love planning my finances. It tickles a part of my brain that nothing else does. I love planning a year’s worth of income, planning my investments and long term goals. Ugh I LOVE it!

Carter I love Zoe too!! So glad to see young people handling your money so well, your older self will be grateful ❤️
I definitely have not always been like this (I used to be a BIG credit card debt spender) but glad that I took the time to teach myself about budgetting/finances as I got older!
honestly, your content is the reason why i've been learning more about personal finance! it's helped my husband and i a TON. i love it!
You and your husband are so responsible and wise at such a young age. I love how you both work together and build the life you two want to live.❤
They work separately though, she’s just said they split bills. That’s not working together
I put each of my sinking fund categories under "savings" so i can track where the money is going. When they're fullly funded I add a note of "funded" so I know I can rellocate the money I was saving elsehwhere. When I use the funds I mark is down as a deduction on my log section. It gives you a feeling of control over where everything is 🎉
My holy trinity in this personal finance UA-cam space: Carter Sullivan, Ella of Smileycitrus & Zoë Pritchard!! 🙏🏾🤍🙏🏾🤍🙏🏾🤍
Loved the shoutout to Zoe 🎉. I love her videos and I love your videos too!❤
Of course! Always going to shoutout those who inspire me
I like the Excel sheet rather sharing rather than this blocks on the screen. It gives the broad ideas in the whole screen while listening to you on that same topic. ❤😅 Always loved your budget videos. Belated Happy Birthday Carter 🎉
Thanks for sharing!! Some people say it's distracting and takes away from the category I'm talking about so I guess it just depends on the person too :)
awww we love miss zoe!!
WE SURE DO
The Breville changes the game! I spend sooo much less money on coffee since buying the Breville Barista Express :)
YESSSSS
800km on a tank seems pretty good. I did the conversion to miles and it was close to 500 miles. My car gets 375 to 400 miles per tank but my car has a 13 gallon tank so I feel that’s still pretty decent gas mileage.
I agree with keep finances separate. No need to go through the process of combining them if you already have a system in place that works.
Carter I am always waiting for your new vlogs and whenever you posts a new vlog it's makes me so so happy😀😀♥️
Aw thanks so much for watching & supporting!!
The Breville coffee machines are so good! I have one, just the smallest one and I save so much money on going out for coffee!
YES! SO good! I am all about spending money where it brings you joy and I do love buying coffee out but having a GOOD coffee machine at home makes such a difference!
If you add the sinking funds to your income section, does it get added to your annual calculations?
the way my stomach did a flip when you said my name 🥹🙈🩷 thanks for the insane shoutout, im gonna cryyy hahah
YOU DESERVE ALL THE SHOUTOUTS IN THE WORLD!!!!
My faves in one place❤❤ y’all motivate us so much. We’re grateful. Much love from Swaziland 🇸🇿
@@temhlangamdluli7345OMG hey neighbor!! 👋🏾😀 And so true, I couldn't agree more 🤍🤍
I am 43. I have been budgeting since February.
I love your budgeting videos! Do you also do What I spent or bought this month videos? I'll have to check.
I do them from time to time over on IG and Tiktok! Those videos are easier to film short form style since I already include a breakdown of my monthly spending in these videos :)
Oooooh I'll have to follow you!
zach bryan album covers in the back means immediately subscribing
Hahaha I love this🤭
I prefer the screen sharing!
Carter I prefer the screen sharing!
Thank you for sharing!!! I'll defs go back to that next month🥰
What coffee machine do you have? I’ve been looking into getting one!
@@tapiohka breville barista express! highly reccomend looking on fb marketplace before buying it new!! it retails for $1000+ and we got it basically new for $300 a few years back😊
@@CarterSullivan Thank you!!!!
Heyy love💕Love the content been watching for a while🥹🥹🥹But I wanted to ask what’s the cases that you be using on your phone really love the aesthetic of it?
Amazon LOOOL it's like a $10 clear magsafe case!
@@CarterSullivan I meant the like brown/tan looking one I usually see you have
@Kampariii oh I had that one last year for my old phone! I think it was from Casetify! I don't recommend it because it was leather and peeled a ton
@@CarterSullivan Oh Ohk thanks for telling me💕
Nsew subscriber here! Can you PLEASE show us a tutorial on how you set up this budget sheet, the instructions are a tad bit confusing. I wish you got commision for recommending the etsy budget template because I did purchase. Please help us with a video walk through on set up!?
@@chocolatekarebear hi!!! i just followed the set up instructions. maybe if you have any specific q's i'd recommend messaging the Etsy shop since they would know the sheet best! I may be able to help if you have a specific Q but always best to ask the person who created the spreadsheet. They may also have a video tutorial to share 😊🫶🏻
I need to know how everyone tracks using $ from sinking funds in their budget!! I used to input it as income but felt it was skewed like Carter said, so now I am testing out putting it as a negative transaction for savings in my tracker but what does everyone else do?
@@jenniferandres303 this probably doesn't help but I track mine on a separate spreadsheet! So I'm still tracking the taking/adding to them but it isn't in my budget spreadsheet- but curious what others have to say!
I add my sinking funds to the budget if I'm spending money from them. I like to keep track of what we spend and reviewing at the end of the year. 🤓
@@amandah.6042 that makes sense! I already track my sinking funds from a separate spreadsheet so wondering if its just making more work for me to have it in the budget too🤣
I got the same template you use- thanks for the reco! I move funds from chequing to savings weekly but on the balance tab it doesn't show what went to savings it just shows what was withdrawn from chequing instead - any idea? My only idea is to just ignore this tab completely lol
I'd recommend contacting the Etsy shop since they're the ones that created the sheet and are the most familiar with it! I don't use it to track my account balances so I wouldn't be able to help. Sorry!!
New subbie 😊
Welcome!!❤️
Unsure if it's available in Canada, but I somewhat cheat the system and get pet insurance for upcoming appointments when I know my dog will need shots. Then I usually cancel it, but make sure there's no strings attached or legalities to be aware of :) I think it was like $40 usd a month for insurance and her total visit was maybe $150 with shots.
You can't use pet insurance for annual visits in Canada! And pet insurance both dogs would cost us over $250-300 a month
Do you have pet insurance options in Canada?
Yes we do but it's EXPENSIVE and does not cover annual visits for vaccines, checkups etc. For both dogs it would cost us between $250-$400 a month and there are SO many exclusions. So we decided to just put that money monthly into a HYSA (we have been for 4 years since we got Stella). As someone who worked in the vet space for years here, pet insurance companies from my experience will do the MOST to not pay you out and cover the bare minimum so I've always just had a savings account for my animals (horse, dog, etc) that I contribute to monthly should an emergency arise and I don't have to worry about deductibles etc. I'm not against it at all, but it just doesn't feel like the right decision for us right now. I've heard pet insurance is completely different in the US and it can cover yearly checkups and is actually affordable so I'm kinda jealous if that's the case!!
@@CarterSullivan Wow I am SHOCKED at how costly that is!! I pay $30 total per month to cover both my cats. Annual visit was an option, I believe for an extra $100 per year. Luckily we haven't had to use it yet but holy cow, $400 a month is crazy!!!!
Very informative video, but why no affirmation(s) expressed in the outro?😢
Sorry I don't understand!?
