Wow, that Bardahl Special really is in a league of it's own. Sounds meaner than the rest and the speeds seem to be one cut above... I wonder what they did to tune it up that much.
@@gsr4535no Reno next year as there no longer at this venue. They'll be an air show at Reno next year. They hope at a new venue racing will resume in 2025. However, another organisation are running races in 2024 in Vegas that'll have The Unlimited Warbirds.
The hill in the background at 5:18 is also known as Cheapskate Ridge or Hill or Haircut Hill. Move your camera up there if you really want some action. like in my 1980s footage on utube.
I thought this had been cancelled long ago due to the danger the public faces. This is crazy irresponsible air show thinking. These planes are very old and pushed to the limit by old pilots who never made the military grade. Won’t be long before the next crowd fatality. This was pure luck that a crash and deaths didn’t occur.

They yanked the engine, belly scoop/exchanger and wing trailing strakes from Voodoo, for starters.
