- Ragam & Thanam - Keeravani. This is quite similar to Jod / Jhaala in Hindustani style of music.
I presented the Saraswathi Veena to a wonderful and receptive audience in Kolkata in December 2019 for the 17th Paramparik annual Indian Classical Conference. The main ragam for the evening was Keeravani , the 21st Melakartha Ragam. Sharing it here for you to enjoy!

Madam you certainly have some magic in those fingers of yours as you deftly switch between the notes. Watching you play gives me the feeling that you are entering g in to the world of music and awakening each note and asking them to follow you. Amazing.

Some portions of the thanam wherein plucking was absent could be heard only with high quality noice cancelling headphones. Probably more amplification would have helped normal hearing. Still the rendition is highly appreciated 🙏
